Of the islands with the mainland, the Ionic ones are most conveniently combined. From Corfu to Meteora, for example, they make excursions easily - to Igoumenitsa about 2 hours by ferry, then by bus. From Zakynthos - in Kyllini you get to the Peloponnese ... From Crete it is convenient only to Santorini.
