Thanks for the quick response. We've been going since September 9th. Just judging by the reviews in Hersonissos, the sea is not calm. My friend and I are not very good swimmers.

By the way, Bali cannot be called a quiet place :-) There are hotels, taverns, not far from Rethymno, be sure to go there. And I liked the sea in Bali almost more than in Vai :-) You won't go wrong.
