I was in Malia Beach, a party city. the price of the hotel is good, all inclusive. a hotel with a large park area, sandy beach, the entrance to the sea is not very good, but then you can find a flat place to enter. Near the beautiful city of Agios Nikolaos, I don’t remember a special serpentine.

I agree, Malia Beach is a good hotel. Book a hotel or apartment better through a travel agency. As for the "mountain roads" - don't worry - you will go to Agios Nkolaos and Elounda and Rethymno, nothing extreme. Look for apartments in the town of Stalida, there are many of them.
