We stayed at the hotel in August with our family. I would like to share my impressions, because in some ways they do not coincide with previous reviews.
So, the three of us rested: me, husband and child.
The hotel has a large territory, consisting of a large building and bungalow buildings. Everything is planted with plants and flowers, each bungalow is also surrounded by a garden.
We were placed in a standard room, according to the voucher. The room was one large room with a balcony. The furniture is quite simple, but without scuffs, defects and the like. The balcony overlooked the hotel grounds and a beautiful bush of bright pink flowers.
The mini bar was cleaned and replenished daily. We left one or two euros for tea. We really liked the hotel staff, sincere and kind, it was a pleasure to deal with everyone.
You can swim in one of the pools. There are 3 of them in the hotel. There is also a children's pool with slides. The pool is always nrahoditsya lifeguard strictly monitoring the implementation of safety rules. Our son, after watching him, expressed a desire to also become a lifeguard) So here it is!
As for the beach, we used rubber slippers (7 euros), as there are stones right in front of the hotel at the entrance to the sea. If you go right and left the entrance is better. It didn't become a problem for us.
Liked the food. Fed in the main restaurant and in the Greek tavern.
The main restaurant has a large selection, buffet. Full of everything: salads, casseroles, meat, vegetables, fruits. I liked that for lunch the chef always added some kind of “zest”, constantly changing the main dishes.
I had to sign up for Greek a day in advance, I liked it even more there! ) Everything is fresh and even more Greek!
Wine is the same everywhere - “local”, that is, local, tasty.
It remains to say a big thank you to all the staff. In such a difficult time, they are very friendly, loyal and cheerful.
The food in the hotel restaurant was for every taste and color. A varied selection of meat, fish, vegetable dishes, all kinds of salads, desserts, pastries, fruits, juices, wines. For children, you could take milk porridge. For very young children, you can take highchairs. Cooked delicious.
The beach is across the road from the hotel, small, small pebbles, free sunbeds and umbrellas, in general, not bad. But entering the sea is on stones, so you need to take slippers so as not to experience discomfort.
From sports there is table tennis (free of charge), volleyball on the beach, aqua aerobics, water polo. For a fee, you can play tennis (there are two tennis courts right in front of the central building), go water skiing, paragliding.
A shuttle bus runs to the nearby cities of Hersonissos and Heraklion, stopping 10 minutes from the hotel. At the reception you can order a taxi, rent a car for independent travel, book excursions to places of interest in Crete. We watched the cave of Zeus, the Lassithi plateau, the Palace of Knossos. All excursions were very interesting and informative. The staff was polite and friendly, helped to resolve any issue, if any. Internet is free in the hotel lobby, if it's important to someone, it's quite decent. The majority of tourists are French and Germans. There were very few Russian tourists, which we were not particularly upset about
I'll start with a description of the territory, which immediately, at first glance, endeared us to itself. The territory is small, well thought out in terms of infrastructure and very well maintained. Every day there is cleaning and watering. Still, which is not unimportant, the hotel does not have large drops, slides and descents. A big plus are two swimming pools with sea water, even somehow unusually leaving the pool does not smell like bleach. We read in the reviews that it was slippery around the pools and there were several accidents, so there was an eye and an eye for the children. But, frankly, do you even imagine a pool that naturally splashes out of water so that it is not wet and slippery? It's just impossible! There are also signs: Caution, slippery! And, of course, you need to walk carefully, and this applies to any pool. Though in a sports club, even on vacation. There is also a bar with snacks and all kinds of soda. The hotel has slides (for adults and children one each), descent from the slides to the pool. There is also a playground by the pool, which is very convenient.
Meals at the ultra all inclusive hotel, you can eat during the day in the restaurant, in the tavern, or have a snack at the pool bar. The tavern must be booked in advance, but you can go at least every day. In the main restaurant, the food was of high quality, there was always a choice of meat, side dishes and salads, delicious pasta, soups for lunch - mashed potatoes. Also, at the entrance to the restaurant there is a corner where the chefs cook meat right in front of you, there was almost always a queue (a couple of families), but this is a maximum of 5-6 minutes to wait.
We took a family room, quite large, consisted of one large room with a partition. The room was cleaned every day, the minibar was also replenished daily.
The animation team at the hotel was not numerous, but the animators were great, they paid a lot of attention to the children.
On the beach you need special slippers, if you walk a little along the coast, there is a good entrance.
1. Between the hotel and the beach there is a road with an average traffic intensity, but you can’t let children go. Taxis and motorcycles rush about, and inexperienced drunk drivers on rental cars constantly had to bounce and hide from wildly roaring rushing ATVs during walks.
2. Complete lack of Internet in the hotel - DOES NOT WORK ANYWHERE - NO WI-FI. Skype, Instagram and nothing at all work.
3. The complete absence of a beach and an entrance to the sea - the beach is paid 300-500 meters from the hotel.
4. On the beach there is a mountain of algae (see photo)
5. Paid safe in the rooms 8 euros per day
6. Paid deposit towels for the pool and beach 20 euros upon check-in (but they have the feature of disappearing)
7. Very slippery tiles throughout the hotel - people often get injured walking in a cast, the boy's dad wore a cast on his back for the whole vacation.
8. Small reception, there is a catastrophic shortage of sofas - there is a struggle for a sofa and an armchair
9. Some chemicals were poured into the pool - I opened my eyes in the input and got some kind of mucous burn - my eyes burned and hurt for 2 days.
10. Car rental at the hotel is 2 times higher than on the street.
11. Hotel rooms are in good condition - excellent cleaning
12. The food is excellent, but the queues were rather big
13. One a la carte by appointment where the most disgusting cuisine and service - we picked lamb balls and went to the main restaurant.
14. All pools without heating - ice water
15. The staff is very polite, the workers at the reception know their stuff
In general, the hotel did not leave the worst impression. I advise you to stay in the bungalow where we lived there quietly and comfortably. At night, the sea breeze beats right into the room. Look at the photo - the hotel is very good and we spent our vacation cool.
BEACH-it has already been written many times that it is HORRIBLE, really so-I was convinced with my own eyes. We went swimming to the left, about 15 minutes to go. There is sand and a very good entry into the sea!
NUMBER-good, but salty water flows from the tap! and the cleaning leaves much to be desired, on the first day we were settled - (by the way, we were actually settled in 30 minutes) I looked under the bed, it was dirty, I reported this to the reception, as a result, no one cleaned under the bed! Sleeping place, two single beds, connected together, at night they constantly moved apart, the child slept with us, and fell into this hole! It was decided to plug it with a towel! Russians do not give up here either))) There is no curtain in the bathroom - the floor is wet after bathing. Since a small child was running around the room, I constantly wiped the floor with towels, there are plenty of them, they change every day, as they clean them! BUT NOT THOROUGHLY! Audibility-100%!! ! I constantly asked my husband why he did not close the door, but the door was closed! So it's better to live in a bungalow, but not next to the pool, otherwise you'll swim with the vacationers. The mini bar was replenished daily, but they give very little water, only 2 bottles of 0.5 liter. Bought constantly.
Most importantly, the water that is brought in the restaurant, do not give it to children, buy bottled water! We met a family from Moscow, they gave this water to their daughter, 1 year and 4 months old, she started vomiting and diarrhea!
the hotel is not bad, but they believed "LABYRINTH" that there is "MOM AND BABY", the food is not for small children.
Many thanks to the GUIDE NATALIA, who helped to return 20 euros for a towel (beach towels are issued on a reserve basis, 1 towel is 20 euros). We have lost the receipt for the towel, although copies remain at the reception!
basically everything!
Regards, Tatiana.
and as it turned out, cockroaches live in the whole hotel. . they are most likely pets. . if someone is going to go to this hotel. . and this someone is a woman. . i would not advise!! ! save your nervous system! this is not 5 * - this is a scam ! !
I planned to go by car to Croatia, in a familiar travel agency I asked to find a hotel option with a good beach, because. I was traveling with my daughter for 5 years, and in principle the rest was aimed at her. Literally a day later they called and recommended a great option - Crete, Mitsis Serita Beach resort 5 *, all inclusive, miniclub for a child, swimming pools, slides, food... and very inexpensive, you can’t rest in Croatia for that kind of money, and I was seduced !
Departure from Kyiv at 19.55, I'm in Uzhgorod, 850 km to get there. They call from the agency - the flight was postponed to 11.55! Legs in hands, into the car and run to Kyiv. We arrived at the airport at 09.15 - no one was there! I call the tour operator MIBS travel, where is the issuance of documents? An unflappable voice replies: "What do you want at such an early hour, the issue will be at the airport from 16.00, and the departure will be at 19.55 !!! " Indifference is the rarest, but warn in advance ? ! The mood is spoiled, 9 hours before registration, what to do with the child ?!
We arrived at the hotel at 00.15, the room was given immediately in the main building (lucky, because there are the best rooms), and lo and behold - a balcony overlooking the sea! The room itself is nice, cozy, everything is new, clean. . . and the air conditioner is old! It buzzes like a steam locomotive, barely blows, the effect, like from a fan, turned off in the middle of the night, because head was pounding from the noise!
1. Hotel territory: small, at least greenery, two large pools, two small ones for children. The tiles around the pools are not intended for such, and very slippery, in order to protect themselves from problems, they put a sign on it in a timely manner "carefully, slippery", and if anything "we warned you! ". In the pools there is only sea water with a huge concentration of salt - eye contact causes a strong burning sensation, the child swam all the time in a mask! Two tiny and one medium water slides, a miniclub - a wooden booth and a pair of wooden swings.
2. The beach is a complete pipets, it simply does not exist! A piece of the coastal strip across the road with sand and pebbles, a couple of sun loungers and a wooden pier! It is impossible to enter the water either from the shore or from the pier - huge stones!! ! I remembered that the guide on the way to the hotel spoke about the sandy beach at 500m. from the hotel, and that you can swim freely there. Let's go - and lo and behold! Beautiful white sandy beach, excellent entrance to the sea! We spent all our beach time there. The only negative is the way back and forth in the heat.
3. Food - nothing for children: french fries, spaghetti, pancakes, gofre, sweets... well, muesli. Juices - sweet chemical ink, freely available from the machine only at breakfast, at other times - you have to ask the waiter to bring it. For adults - more or less, but the monotony just got it! Between the main meals - only a tiny bar between the pools for four tables with sandwiches and ice cream.
4. Entertainment - amateur animators, due to the lack of an amphitheater in the hotel, held their evening programs in the conference hall, where the 5th part of those wishing was placed. The stuffiness in the hall is unbearable, the stage is not intended for concert programs, horror! There is nowhere to go, the nearest settlement of Khersones is 3 km away, melancholy!
5. Contingent - Russian-speaking 5%, the bulk - Germans, French, British and... Arabs! The last - just no words! Women in a veil, herds of their screaming and running reckless children, who, on top of everything else, are aggressive - offended other children!
6. On the fifth day, I already wanted to pack my bags home! Lasted until the end of the "rest". We were brought to the airport, checked in at 17.00, departure at 19.55... and then a new surprise - the Greeks are on strike, the departure is postponed to 01.50 at night! The waiting room is packed with people, the children are crying, there is nowhere to put the child to sleep. . . At 05.00 in the morning, exhausted and sleepy, they flew to Kyiv, and there is still a long road home by car. . .
It was the second time in Greece, before that we had a rest on the island of Rhodes, in the Aldemare 5 * hotel (real), then the rest was real. I won’t go to the Greeks anymore - let them go on strike.
And for a good rest, you still need to pay, you can’t save on vacation!
