The fact that the hotel is positioned as a luxury hotel, with a heavily reduced autumn price paid, left a feeling of excellent value for money.
I especially note the family room (they lived in the 4000s, next to the kids club): spacious, not shabby, cozy. The living room (with children's beds) and the bedroom are separated by a long corridor and two lockable doors. Two balconies - each of the rooms. Two and a half stylish bathrooms (two showers, three washbasins, two toilets, bidet, bathtub). True, the originally proposed room had to be asked to be changed - located on the first floor, it "pleased" with stale air due to dampness and a complete lack of views from the balconies (only the back wall of the bungalow building in front of it). But after walking for three hours, we moved to exactly the same layout/equipment room on the floor above, and everything fell into place.
The staff deserves gratitude - the reception staff and those who, on their behalf, carried out our requests: as I said, the room was changed without problems, as soon as a suitable one was vacated; non-working socket at the bedside table - immediately repaired; you need an electric extension cord - they immediately gave it to your hands; need an additional device for mosquitoes (one was in the room immediately) - delivered in the evening; hair dryer stopped working - they immediately replaced it; it was necessary to send a scan of the passport to the insurance company to call the doctor - they gave free access to WiFi. They communicate in good English. In general, well done, thanks to them.
In the same way, they were satisfied with the teacher Olga in the children's club. In general, in terms of equipment, area, variety, the Minoan park of Kapsis is the best of the children's clubs that we met in resort hotels.
Breakfasts at Red Pepper are quite satisfactory: although the assortment is the same all the time, it is wide enough to vary your breakfast, and orange juice and champagne certainly add a touch of chic.
After these breakfasts, we practically didn’t go to lunch (the children were fed in the Minoan club), and we went to dinner in one of the taverns on the embankment of Agia Pelagia. Of the best remembered as the fish tavern / pizzeria "Bravo" and a restaurant with an intricate name in Greek, located closer to the gate leading from Capsis to the embankment (next to the cafe "La Piazza").
We took a car for three days in the office just above the main entrance to Capsis (Motorsun, it seems) - it turned out a little better for the price / class of the car than in those that are directly opposite the entrance to the hotel.
Enough has been written about the exceptional, as for Crete, greenness of the hotel territory and the convenience of the beach in previous reviews. In general - I recommend, not at the peak of the season - that's for sure.
Well, for 4 days alone you don’t have time to get bored, because the sea, the sun and the entertainment of the hotel itself. For longer, if you don’t go anywhere and don’t take care of your family there, it would be boring.
Eternaya Oasis is one of three complexes on the territory of Capsis Out of The Blue. The territory as a whole is larger than that of the village of Agia Pelagia, and all planted with trees, you live in a large park that is difficult to get around on foot the first time.
At the far end are the statues. Near the restaurant - a river with living creatures, near the children's club - a zoo.
The kids club works like a kindergarten - you can leave the children for the whole day, the club building itself is like a separate hotel, I haven’t seen this before, and it’s worth describing. A large labyrinth at the entrance, for children's games. A mini-disco stage, inside and a dining room, and carousels, and a room with cribs just in case. A similar club by the beach is for teenagers. Children at the hotel are fed on the all-with lunches and afternoon snacks. Adults have nothing more than breakfast-dinner, food is good, service is good, a bottle of wine and a bottle of water upon arrival, a lot of Russian-speaking staff. Unless you need to buy everything in a bar on the beach, if you lie on the beach all day, you will inevitably want to have a snack before dinner, or go to an Italian or Japanese restaurant, also for extra money. I was most upset by the Internet and the lack of local life in the area. And if you come to rest with your family, I think there will be no disappointments at all.
The hotel beach is good - towels are issued at the entrance (in the middle of the day they may not be enough - despite the fact that there are enough sun loungers all the time), children's inflatable landing stages and swings float on the water, the entrance is smooth. There is an alternative city beach, but strangely enough, a lot of the local population comes there to relax, and it is much closer there than on the hotel beach.
Firstly, a huge beautiful well-groomed territory, which few Greek hotels can boast of. Everything is very logical and beautifully done. A miniature of the Knossos Palace, an excellent mini-club, was built on the territory of the hotel.
The territory of the hotel is divided into five different sectors, which are distinguished by their own charm and atmosphere. We lived in the Crystal complex. Very beautiful modern rooms, high-tech building, in front of it is a singing fountain that performs a whole performance in the evenings. And amazing panoramic views. The neighboring Ruby Red complex is made in a classic style, if you prefer it.
Excellent beaches - there are several of them in the hotel. There is both sand and pebbles, so you can find a place for every taste, clean water and there are always sunbeds. We were in September, so there were very few children.
I really liked the food (we were on half board) - a gourmet restaurant, every day something new from the chef. Of course, drinks are not cheap in autumn, twice as expensive as in the village nearby, but you yourself understand that this is a 5 * hotel, so against the background of other trips, I can say that the prices are comfortable.
Very convenient location - right outside the gates of the hotel - a village with souvenir shops, taverns, cafes, so if you get tired of relaxing only on the territory of the hotel, you can always go out and find something new outside its gates. Only 20 minutes from the airport.
I recommend!
The territory of the hotel is very well-groomed, green. I want to mention the excellent cuisine. Very varied food. Lots of seafood, vegetables, fruits. Our room was the Junior Suite, quite spacious with a stunning view of the pool. The child spent days disappearing in the children's entertainment club "Minoan Fairy World". On the territory of this club there is a swimming pool, many game rooms, an indoor cinema, an amphitheater, carousels. Moreover, visiting, lunch, dinner, snacks and drinks during the child's stay in the park is completely free. In general, we have not had such a level of rest for a long time. We are delighted! I highly recommend relaxing in any of the Capsis Out of the Blue hotels. I hope that we will return here again.
I wanted to make the most of this trip. We were looking for a hotel of at least 5 stars with a room on the sea and everything ...really liked the Greecotel, but, unfortunately, there were no places. Then there were problems with tickets - as we needed exactly certain dates. . In the end, they already took what was left ...namely Capsis, Internal Oasis hotel - this is from the group of hotels Out of the blue / Capsis - it's hard to say which of them is a more modern name. Previously, it was one hotel - then it was divided into several hotels))) and, accordingly, all are located on the same territory. ( Creestal, Rubby red, Oasis and others)
We arrived in the evening - around 18:00. We were met by representatives of the travel agency Mesanidus Travel at the airport, put on buses and sent to hotels. Our hotel is about 20 minutes away.
While we were driving, the representative of the tour operator talked about Crete and Greece in general, and she did it so funny that many people, including me, laughed at me))) if you come across her, then you will understand what I mean. At the hotel, we were met by representatives of the travel agency and helped with registration - it seemed to me obtrusive, since I myself calmly speak English and I didn’t need an extra translator))). But if it’s hard for you with English or Greek, then don’t worry, everyone will help you – some hotel staff are Russian-speaking. After a quick registration, we were taken to the room on an electric mobile. I gave a friend 5 euros for a tip for the efforts and started to rest)))
We had a two-story room overlooking the garden, although a piece of the sea was also visible)). I wanted a view of the sea - to fall asleep to the sound of the waves ...
so I dreamed))) but I confess to you that if I took such a number, I would have to fight off mosquitoes, bugs and other flying creatures. But I think to wake up in the morning and look into the distance of the blue morning sea, it’s beautiful and you can fight bloodsuckers with fumitox))) (by the way, we already bought fumitox here - at the reception they said that they were over and we bought ourselves in the store). The hotel is located in such a way that you can only see the sunrise - you will not see the sunset - the sun is setting behind the mountains. The room has, in principle, everything you need ...air conditioning on both floors - no complaints.
I note that there was no kettle in the room - that is, you can’t drink tea in the evening. . they asked for an iron and a drying board - they promised us, but they didn’t go further than that - well, we Russians are no strangers - they got out.
Our part of the hotel was immersed in greenery - everything around was blooming, a bunch of beautiful flowers with bright colors - beautiful.
The hotel has two beaches - one internal and the second is connected to the city. We took water procedures on the first one - it was closer to it))) the beach is covered with loose sand. Enough sun loungers - we always found a place. Towels are free - they are in a separate basket on the beach. 95% of vacationers are Russians, the rest are Europeans. There are a lot of little kids)) it's funny to watch their behavior)).
The hotel has several pools, near which there are also sun loungers with towels wrapped in rolls. It was funny to observe such a picture: a Russian family, lying on towels, swimming in the pool, leaving, showed housekeeping - they also carefully rolled the towels into a roll and put them on sun loungers. After 15 minutes, another family was safely resting on the same rags))))
The sea temperature is the most - not hot and not cold - swimming 100-200m in the morning before breakfast - raised the tone and gave inexpressible pleasure. The water is clear and clean - depending on the time of day, the sea changed color - not that the Maldives, of course, but also beautiful. There are few fish in the sea - and their colors are rather poor - there is a diving center on the second beach, but there was no desire to dive. There is a rental of jet skis (100 rubles per minute) and other generally accepted types of water entertainment - but there was no parasliding.
We took the option - Bed & Breakfast - because from personal experience we always tried to diversify our food and ate in different places. Upon arrival, we had dinner in one of the hotel restaurants - we ordered a little bit for three - a portion of sushi for each and a second for me and a glass of wine - and 2 more tea)) in general, it cost us 100 euros ...
we were offered to pay extra and take ALL inclusive for 65 euros per person per day - this will allow us to have lunch and dinner in the hotel restaurants.
We usually didn’t have lunch because there was a hearty breakfast, but instead of lunch we ate fruits that I bought in a shop in front of the hotel - ripe and fresh fruits. For dinner we went to restaurants that were located along the public beach. It should be noted that the beach is not big - somewhere around 250-300m. Of those restaurants where we had to eat - I will note only one - called Sokratos - it was advised to us by a guide who herself was not in it but was heard from vacationers. In general, dinner for three is about 40 euros, but if you also have a couple of bottles of good wine, then about 70. We mainly ordered seafood (shrimps, fish, lobsters, etc. ).
At dinner, there was usually some kind of entertainment program in the hotel. You can have dinner outside the hotel and then come and watch the show.
The hotel has a spa salon - the staff does not speak English well. . - I was surprised)) they brought the elder to me - and my friend and I agreed on everything. In particular, we came at 6 pm and I agreed on a sauna and a pool (they have a sauna and a pool of 40 euros for the whole day, there is no hourly, so I talked him into doing it for us for free) - in the end he agreed, and we took a scrub with sea salt (75 euros per person) - a funny thing - my girl tried so hard that at times I wanted to hit her)) I'm joking of course))) - but after the procedure, the skin is silky. . and ready for sun exposure. . My wife loves it so much when I go through this procedure with her. .
Of the excursions, I note the following - we were a week and therefore took 2 pieces - the first is an inspection of the Knossos palace of the Minoan era - a building of 2000 BC. - there, according to the myths, the minotaur ran - or rather, this labyrinth palace was built for him.
Also in this tour there was a visit to the winery (I note that the wine is worthwhile) and in conclusion a walk through the historical part of the city of Heraklion. The cost of the tour is 50 euros per person. the second excursion was chosen to the island of Santorini - I recommend it to everyone and I assure you you will not regret it. This is the most romantic island in Europe. The cost is 150 euros per person. In the morning he picks up the bus and the ferry. 2 hours and you are already there. I suggest you try to spend - 2 days in Santorini and then move to Crete. So many tourists from Europe did. By the way, Santorini has its own airport. And the beaches there with sand of volcanic origin - and, accordingly, black. - cool)) on the ferry be careful with hats - when you go out onto the open deck.
The ferry keeps about 40 km / h and with me many caps flew into the abyss of the sea)) but I admired the beauties of the sea and stood for 30 minutes under a continuous wind - as a result, I got atitis and the return flight to Russia scolded myself for recklessness))) pleasant little - I'll tell you so))) - take care of your ears.
Upon arrival at the airport, it was a little unpleasant for our compatriots. Of course, we were sent to check-in and everyone stood in line according to the purchased tickets - more precisely, who had time))) in the process of waiting in line until registration began (about 40 minutes), they changed the check-in desks - this caused a stir - and the Russians ran from place to place with suitcases and kids - and imagine that some woke up at 3 in the morning and everyone was hungry, not getting enough sleep, with small children ...in general, as always happens - some comrades showed themselves, let's say not in the best way ...quarreled. . grumbled. . huddled...
And foreigners have an idea about Russians.
Have a good rest and if you have any questions - write
The hotel occupies a whole peninsula, has several beaches. A very beautiful area - a botanical garden, there is a small zoo, a mini-club in the form of the Knossos Palace, children can be in the club under the supervision of Russian-speaking teachers and eat during the day, even if their parents paid only for breakfast.
Good restaurants with great food. In the evening - fountain show.
The hotel has a collection of antiques: icons, statues, vases, etc. Each building is decorated in its own style.
Suitable for couples, youth and families with children.
But the most important thing in traveling around Crete is very beautiful landscapes: sea, mountain, thickets of olive trees, a huge number of churches, ancient historical monuments. At least once in a lifetime it is worth visiting this island, no one will remain indifferent.
Again, the main "attraction" of the hotel is the famous Russians who rested in the hotel. We were "lucky" to meet Plushenko and Rudkovskaya. As for me, pathos and pretensions are such that outside the walls of the hotel we felt great - somewhere in a tavern, on a city beach or just riding around.
