Hotel Le Mirage is located at the very beginning of the village of Benitses. We stayed there at the beginning of June. The hotel is quiet, calm, family. Family and in the sense that it is managed by a married couple Kostas and Eva, and a couple of other people help them. Hotel Le Mirage is located at the very beginning of the village of Benitses. We stayed there at the beginning of June. The hotel is quiet, calm, family. Family and in the sense that it is managed by a married couple Kostas and Eva, and a couple of other people help them. Despite the fact that there are few staff, both the hotel grounds and the rooms are clean and tidy.
The hotel area is small, but very cozy and well maintained, with palm trees, orange trees, trimmed bushes and many flowering plants. There is a small pool near which you can relax in the shade of palm trees, or have a cup of coffee in the morning.
The hotel has three floors, and we got a room on the third floor. For all rooms, a balcony is required, the higher the room, the narrower it is, we had the smallest, but there was enough space for two. The room itself is also small, with a minimum of furnishings, a refrigerator and air conditioning available, with a TV that could turn on and change channels on its own. We did not pay attention to this, we simply did not look at it, just as we did not pay attention to some shortcomings in plumbing. We immediately chose the hotel only to spend the night in it, devoting the rest of the time to traveling around the island or a beach holiday.
Meals at the hotel included only breakfasts, and they were rather modest and monotonous - toast, cheese, ham, yogurt (closer to our village sour cream), boiled eggs, jams, chocolate paste, coffee, tea. But in the evening you can order a good dinner, which will be a little cheaper than in taverns. In general, the street with taverns and shops starts just from the hotel.
Near the hotel there is a bus stop, from where you can easily go to Corfu or in a southerly direction, to the beaches of Messonghi and Kavos. The city beach is also not far from the hotel, across the road, but during our stay it was not yet equipped and we went to the beach opposite the Potamaki hotel. We really liked the sea in the Benitses area - very clean and transparent. I liked the village of Benitses - leisurely, cozy. I liked the hotel Le Mirage - its friendly owners and helpful staff. And about the vacation on the wonderful island of Corfu, we have only the most pleasant impressions and we will be happy to return here.
