More recently, I rested on the beautiful island of Kerkyra. I chose this place not by chance, my main goal was to get to St. Spyridon and venerate the relics. I traveled to the holy places almost all of Greece, but I got to Corfu only this year.
Upon arrival at the hotel, I was met by a hotel guide. check-in was told to wait until 12, the hotel guide offered to talk. They told me about the island, about the village of Benitses, about the city of Corfu, about all kinds of trips. I bought a pilgrimage to the southern and northern monasteries, for the third time I decided to go to meteors, and bought a trip to paxos-antipaxos, I really love the sea. As a gift, I was given a pilgrimage tour of the city, I was very happy with such a bonus.
Well, as for the hotel, for 2 stars everything is very decent. The hotel is very clean, the rooms were cleaned every day, towels are changed every 2 days, bed linen is changed on the 4th day.
Everything you need in the room is: bed, bedside tables, chair, TV, refrigerator, wardrobe, mirror, shower. Also, the rooms have balconies, my room was with a view of the mountains, because. Sea view rooms are noisy due to cars.
The beach is literally a couple of meters across the road, sand with pebbles, clean and well-groomed, sunbeds and umbrellas are available only for a fee.
Breakfasts are the usual: cheese, sausage, bread, eggs, jam, honey, pancakes, cereal, porridge, milk, tea, coffee, juice, in general, you can always have a hearty breakfast.
On Wednesdays, the hotel hosted Greek evenings, dances in national costumes, Greek music, it was very fun and interesting.
I was satisfied with the rest, next year I think to come back here again.

I would like to share my impressions of the rest on the island of Corfu in June. We went there for the first time with a friend, looking for something simple and relatively inexpensive. The choice fell on the hotel loutrouvia, the price just pleased, like the hotel during the whole holiday. Small and cozy hotel, in the center of the resort village of Benitses and the beach across the road, super.

Small and cozy hotel, in the center of the resort village of Benitses and the beach across the road, super. The beach is good, long, sandy with small pebbles, clean, the sea was warm, swimming with pleasure, umbrellas and sun loungers for an additional fee. On the beach there are various sports, too, for money.
Since we only had breakfast included, we went to taverns, of which there are a lot in the village for every taste and budget. And you can try fresh seafood, and meat, and traditional Greek dishes. If you are too lazy to go, you can have dinner at the restaurant at the hotel, they did it a couple of times, the prices are normal.
The breakfasts at the hotel are delicious, hearty and varied, there are no complaints about this.
Free internet in the hotel worked well. Responsive and attentive staff, and in general the Greeks are very hospitable people, although a little noisy in communication.
The room is simple but cozy, everything you need is there, the balcony is furnished, we just had a room with a sea view, we often sat chatting in the evenings to the sound of the sea surf.
Since we were in Corfu for the first time, we went on a sightseeing tour of the island, we were satisfied, because the tour helped us to fully get to know the island, we bought souvenirs: magnets, jam and kumquat liquor, spices.
Thank you for organizing the holiday, it was just great.

Hello travel lovers. My wife and I traveled all over Greece far and wide, this time we decided to get to Corfu. We always choose budget hotels, because we see no reason to overpay, anyway, we spend most of the time outside the hotel. We chose a small economical hotel Lutruvya. It is located in the very center of Benitses, everything is great, the room was spacious, big bed, air conditioning, TV, refrigerator.

A small minus is that you need to ask for an iron and a hairdryer at the reception, but these are trifles.
For food, we only had breakfast, very satisfying. We had lunch and dinner in taverns.
Across the road from the hotel there is a pebbly beach, the water is wonderful, clear, the sea is clean, there are no hedgehogs or algae.
At a meeting with a separate guide, we were oriented around the hotel, around the area in general, and on excursions. We always take excursions, and then we rent a car and drive on our own to the places that we liked the most. We bought a sightseeing tour of the island, the city and Meteora from the guide. I liked everything very much, after the guide's story, a general picture of the island immediately emerges. After that, we rented a car and went to Paleokastritsa and Sidari on our own. And we also rented a motorboat for the whole day, it was unrealistically cool, just chic, we traveled around the northeastern part of the island, such beauty. In general, we were very satisfied with the rest and the service provided.

The only negative is that there is no internet, and you need to ask for TVs at the reception. The rooms were cleaned every day. Breakfasts are ordinary. For those who come to relax by the sea, everything is fine. We only slept in the room))). Almost every day was planned for us, and we tried to visit as many places on the island as possible, since we do not return more than once to the same place))
The pluses of the hotel are the proximity to the beach and to the village, where it is located, in fact. Those. shops, bars and taverns are at your disposal. By the way, if possible, take a room with a sea view. The views are amazing in the morning. The story is simple. Well, sunsets, of course!
A separate guide, Natalya, strongly suggested that we visit Meteora, saying that we will remember this place forever. And I really want to thank her for that. Meteora is truly an amazing place that everyone should visit. I have never felt such grace before. We arrived tired, but very satisfied. The guide Irina was a great fellow, along the way she told us about the history of Greece, the history of Corfu and, of course, about Meteora. Therefore, 2.5 hours on the bus passed almost unnoticed, thanks to her for that.
Of course, we also visited a tour of the island. We really liked Achilleion, and I was just delighted with Paleokastritsa. We also visited a factory where sweets and kumquat liqueurs are produced, and to be honest, I liked the wines more than the liqueurs. Be sure to try the Retsina wine there, it is very specific, but tasty.
There were also sea trips. We chose the Paxos-Antipaxos cruise. It was very beautiful there, the photos turned out very cool. The sea is incredibly blue. Gaios is an amazing city.
In the sea, we smoked plenty, despite the fact that it was still cold. The sea is very clean and there were practically no waves. The weather was very good all the time, so we had plenty of swimming and sunbathing.
The week of rest has not passed, but has flown by.
If you plan to visit many pilgrimage sites, then be sure to choose the island of Corfu.

We stayed at the hotel from 6 to 10 July 2015. Expectations have fully justified themselves. We were ready for "two star" service. However, they were pleasantly surprised. The administration immediately went to meet us when we "bewildered" and asked for a room with a view of the mountains, not the sea (read the previous reviews). We checked whether such rooms were available and provided it to us without any additional payments and conversations (on the second / first floor). Having gone there, my wife and I were at first puzzled by the small area of the room, which was predetermined by the presence of a 3rd, folding, bed. We asked the maid to remove the "interference" and after the instant execution of the whim, the room became much more spacious. Pleased with the presence of a personal air conditioner, refrigerator and TV. The air conditioner is new, it cooled the room regularly (even very much, so I had to pacify its ardor). The bathrooms also worked well. The maid is very efficient and helpful. I immediately responded to a request for a second pillow (I can’t sleep on a low one), bringing as many as two (to me and my wife). How can you not appreciate such kindness. Of course, a couple of times he slipped her a euro coin "for tea".
The kitchen is also a delight. Breakfasts are monotonous, but quite high in calories, since no one limited the amount of food taken. We noticed that one young couple scored either 7 or 10 eggs for breakfast (where is it for them? ). We dined in a tavern at the hotel, having previously familiarized ourselves with the price list of neighboring similar establishments. A full dinner with wine came out about 32-34 euros, without wine and salads (since they were attached to the main dishes) - 21-22 euros. There was a supermarket nearby. I recommend it especially, because we checked 3 more (one a little ahead of the one mentioned and 2 in the center), and found that the prices in "ours" are much nicer. It took a bottle of wine (dry) and something for a snack. Then we had dinner on the balcony, equipped with a table and chairs, enjoying the healing air and wonderful views of the mountains.
The sea, of course, is not the same as the usual Mediterranean. A bit of algae, and sea urchins were fooling around (so you should stock up on rubber slippers), but already from 8 in the morning it is quite warm and you can swim freely until 19. Sunbeds for 1.5 euros, umbrellas - free of charge. We were told that you can buy a drink at the bar for a couple of euros and you can not pay for beach service, but this is not so.
I would especially like to note the work of the girls-guides from "Mouzenidis". Anastasia Malykh, Daria Notorina (hotel managers) and guide Anna Nesterova showed their best side, responding positively to the slightest whims (up to the exchange of the "red" passport cover that I did not like for "classic" brown). They immediately helped to sign up for a free sightseeing tour (they took the last 2 places), they were constantly interested in their needs, they saw them off when they left, etc.
In general, very satisfied. I advise you not to listen and not read the reviews, although, of course, you need to prepare for different things, and have an initial positive attitude. Then everything will turn out right for you and you will be able to rest.

I spent my vacation in the summer of 2014 in Greece on Corfu. Before choosing a hotel, I read a lot of reviews, consulted with friends who went to Corfu. Summing up all this, I chose the Loutrouvia Hotel. I arrived at about 2 o'clock in the afternoon. They settled in right away. I had a small room with a balcony overlooking the courtyard. The sunset is unrealistically mesmerizing: just imagine how the sun slowly sinks right behind the mountains, which can be seen directly from the hotel. Very beautiful view, lots of greenery, houses with red roofs. Beauty, in a word. From this side of the hotel it is always quiet and calm, and there is no extraneous noise.
The room is spacious, comfortable, no frills, but has everything you need: air conditioning, bed, mirror, cable TV. The bathroom had a full bath, large and deep. Souls are already tired, to be honest. Cleaning was done every day, linen and towels were changed twice a week. Breakfast is monotonous, but everything is tasty and fresh. There are a lot of cereals on the tables, muesli, fresh vegetables, salads, omelettes, ham, cheese, toast, fruit cut into pieces. I especially liked yogurt at breakfast - incredibly tasty, lively and healthy! There were more dishes for dinner, they serve delicious meat, different every day (pork, lamb and veal). Once a week they give fish dishes and seafood. The cooks cook superbly, with feeling and soul. The sea is awesome, clean, the water is clear, you can see how small fish swim. Sunbeds and umbrellas are paid, either 2 euros, or buy a drink at the bar for the same money. The beach is rocky, but the towel is comfortable. It's not far to the city by bus. Tickets can be bought at the mini market, which is just on the way to the bus stop. I went after breakfast to the church of St. Spyridon. From excursions I went to Meteora, to the survey-pilgrimage "holy places of the island of Kerkyra", swam to the "Blue Lagoon". I learned a lot of interesting and new things for myself. The views are amazing, breathtaking. I dined in the beautiful tavern "At Varvara", the fish served there is excellent! The portions are huge, everything is fresh, tasty and with soul. I went to dances at the neighboring Patomaki Hotel, danced until I dropped for this vacation. Corfu is a wonderful place to stay!

In the evenings, their friendly company gathered downstairs on the veranda of the hotel near the bar. In summary, I will say that the mood with which people come to rest affects their entire stay. The most important thing is not to pay attention to the little things and enjoy your stay on this wonderful island.

Hotel Loutrouvia is located near the city, which makes it very convenient! Literally fifteen minutes by bus, and even less to Achillion Palace. The hotel rooms have everything you need: refrigerator, TV, air conditioning.

Breakfast at the hotel is good, very tasty cupcakes! I can't help but mention the fish tavern downstairs by the hotel! Very tasty food and reasonable prices.
But, of course, the most remarkable thing is that the beach is across the street from the hotel. Therefore, you can lie there all day! What I enjoyed doing!

For us, the main criteria for choosing the Loutravia Hotel were low cost and close proximity to the sea, as we were going to combine a beach holiday with exploring the island. Since we do not speak English at all, we were very pleased with the hotel's focus on Russian-speaking guests: there is a menu in Russian, Russian waiters in the restaurant. And in general, all the staff are very friendly to everyone, always smiling, very pleasant atmosphere around.

It is not far from the city of Corfu, it takes about fifteen minutes by bus. At first I was a little upset, but then I realized that I was incredibly lucky. Not only are the prices at the Loutrouvia hotel affordable, but it is also located near the Church of St. Paraskeva the Great Martyr. True, you need to go uphill to the monastery, but it's worth it, there is also a source.
The hotel itself is very good. The sea view is amazing! The food is delicious and there is free internet access. The air conditioner helped a lot. There is also a fish tavern downstairs. There was a Russian speaking waitress. I want to say the prices there, they don’t bite, but in the shops everything is very expensive.
The beach is just across the road, umbrellas and sunbeds were provided free of charge. Grabbed soft drinks from the bar. Therefore, I had a very good rest: in the morning to work, and in the afternoon to the beach!
