1) The staff is polite, smiling, friendly, at the reception, in the restaurant, in the medical center. They always say hello, ask how you feel, whether we like everything, etc. In a word, well done.
2) Procedures everything that is in this place corresponds to the level of the hotel. Nothing superfluous, but they do it with high quality: massage, baths, showers, and inhalations. Again, the staff is trained, polite. Everything is clean, tidy, sterile, clean towels are given after each procedure, you don’t need to wear them from the rooms. The pool inside the hotel is excellent, warm, the water is clean.
3) The rooms are clean, comfortable, cozy, quiet. They clean daily, even on weekends, change the bed. The water is hot all the time, the refrigerator is updated in the room. The hotel has a fireplace. In the evening it is very cool to sit near the fireplace and read a book (which you can immediately take). There is also a bar that makes good coffee.
4) Territory - HUGE!! ! For those who like to walk on foot, there is plenty of space here, you can even ride bicycles, there is a rental. The territory is beautiful, around the mountain, a small river flows. On the territory there is parking for cars, tennis court, outdoor pool. It also has its own mini-zoo, which is very unusual (as for me).
5) Meals in the restaurant 3 times a day, a menu is offered to choose from. The food is tasty and in moderation. But it, as for me, is not dietary! Correct, but not dietary. And if you are on a diet (gastritis, ulcers, diabetes, etc. ), then you need to warn the chefs in advance, as the cooked dishes contain vinegar, sauce, onions, etc. But once again - the food is good!
6) There is one minus!!! ! The hotel does not have its own pump room. He is, but does not work, there is no mineral water, they say, the pressure does not reach. There is water in carafes (it seems to be taken somewhere downstairs in the hotel), but it somehow differs from that in the central pump room of Polyana. This is a plus! For those who like to walk on foot, it is once again very good and useful to walk to the central pump room)))).
In general, the hotel is good and we really liked it here. We'll be back for sure!
Apparently, the age has come... )
We chose Transcarpathia, monitored for a long time, and decided to start with the Solva SPA complex.
A place for relaxation, rest and recovery - super!
Over the past two years, we have been here five times already (sometimes for a week, sometimes for a couple of days... ).
If we go to Europe, the route lays through Solva for at least 2-3 days, back also...
Huge territory, greenery, flowers, outdoor and indoor swimming pool.
The swan in the pond is especially pleasing! Very communicative!
Can walk with you throughout the territory...
And bunnies are cute. . .
Deer also run around the territory (even it turns out to be hand-fed).
The rooms are excellent, large, good beds, soft mattresses.
TVs, however, are small and the models are old - they do not perceive flash drives with films.
Good medical unit (the installed equipment is better than in other sanatoriums where we rested).
The staff is very polite and friendly (especially the girls in the medical unit), they try to please in any matter.
Always excellent restaurant food (with a dietary bias). Special respect to the chef who worked in December 2019! Both dishes and desserts are just the bomb! Not every restaurant does this. . .
Nice big gym, nice indoor pool.
The only point is that the Finnish sauna and hammam are constantly not working.
Probably, they don’t want to turn it on when there are few people - how many times they were, they never worked.
Also, I was upset that they removed the prices of the low and middle seasons - everything is at the maximum speed.
But, anyway, no matter where they rest, we compare it with Solva. The guys work out their five stars to the fullest!
Surprised by the negative reviews that are left here...
In a rude form, she made a remark to me that my son (4 years old) drove through a completely empty hall on a children's bicycle.
To my comment - “the remark was accepted, but you said so that I don’t want to go to you anymore”, I heard the answer - “Your choice. Do what you want! "
She continued to argue with me in raised tones, was rude, behaved arrogantly and boorishly.
The hutch doesn't work. In the hotel restaurant you can order only complex meals! There is no menu. If you do not agree with the choice of the cook - go look for yourself where to eat.
From the back of the hotel there is constant noise and hum (of fans or a transformer) from the technical room. Sleeping at night with an open window is not pleasant.
Conclusion - a good hotel with a terrible manager.
p. s. As a business owner, I communicate a lot with businessmen and directors, travel a lot around the world and Ukraine, and often stop in Transcarpathia. I have not heard such incorrect behavior even in simpler places.
If the owner of this hotel reads these reviews, I highly recommend doing an audit and changing the rude manager.
They brought us the bill multiplied by 2, since I ordered 1 serving, but ate it with two people with a small child.
They come to clean up exactly when you are either sleeping or relaxing. When you are on procedures or walking and hanging a sign "can be removed" it is ignored. When a child sleeps at lunchtime and a "Do Not Disturb" sign hangs, they bang on the door and the glass trembles. Just pigs, I had to quarrel, so they stopped coming to our room at all. I had to go to reception to get toilet paper.
Nobody plays with children, there is no playroom. In the fireplace hall at 10 o’clock a fireplace is stoked, smoke is all over the room, children sit suffocating and watching cartoons that the animator puts on their laptop.
Director Victoria shows off more and courts the owner's children.
In the pool, right in front of the children, the head of some kind of police fucked with his mistress, who was fit for his daughter.
Terrible hotel. Don't buy into the photo. A complete scam and a hateful atmosphere.
From the pros:
- good infrastructure of the hotel: a large well-groomed area on the outskirts of the village with flower beds and beautiful trees, surrounded by forest, with a mini zoo with roe deer and rabbits, spacious and well-equipped rooms (at the same time, it seemed to us that in the standard and twin rooms in which we rested, the layout of the bathrooms has not been finalized (there are no shelves for detergents and cosmetics, hooks for clothes, and the nickel-plated shelf in the shower is rusty), a solid finish of the building (a lot of marble, high-quality materials, crystal chandeliers, etc. ), a well-equipped gym, pools ( outdoor and indoor with different hydromassage functions), tennis courts;
- the design of the service is quite flexible: the ability to choose the format of accommodation and treatment (for the first time I meet so that you can change the format from the basic “bed-breakfast” to “full board” on certain days), there is no cyclicality as in sanatoriums (i. e. you can arbitrarily plan the date of arrival and departure), the administrators at the reception are quite client-oriented (we had to leave a day earlier - no problems and fines), all hotel services can be received on the room with subsequent payment.
- good nature: forest and clean air;
- mineral water pump room "Polyana Kvasova" in the hotel;
- free parking on site.
Minuses:
- service - leaves much to be desired: the rooms are cleaned irregularly, detergents are not changed when they run out, dirty tablecloths can not be changed in the restaurant after visitors, the breakfast buffet is unstable (interruptions in dishes, although everything is tasty and varied according to the idea, as well as with dishes), for lunch and dinner, the complex needs to wait 20 minutes (why they don’t make a buffet for that kind of money), and even more on the menu, the food is mediocre and expensive, in the hut on the hotel’s territory, the food is also mediocre, in general, in we only had breakfast at the hotel (we found at the entrance to the village of Polyana from the side of Svalyava in front of the bridge the Ekaterina restaurant in the hotel of the same name: the interior is unsightly there, but the food is excellent, we went there every day for lunch: there are a dozen dishes on the menu, but everything is of excellent quality, thanks to good cook and fresh products, they have their own trout farm there);
- lack of capacity of the medical department: massage did not work out for the first week (experienced people order services in advance of arrival), in general, work is only up to 2 hours, the doctor's office is a kennel with no windows of 6 square meters;
- declared wi-fi throughout the hotel worked up to 70%, and in the rooms - less than half the time;
- the pump room with mineral water often did not work, as in other things the idea is good, but the execution is idiotic: there are 6 taps (each with a separate dosage and temperature), which are turned on by a magnetic card, but there are 3 cards and only on the reception, what is written on the indicator near the tap is not true, the water either does not turn off and flows in a stream, then it is not there;
- the rooms are quite noisy and it is uncomfortable to be (especially sleeping) with open windows: at first we lived in a room on the back side of the building there around the clock (except for a couple of hours at night) the pumping and compressor station, which is constantly buzzing; a week later, at our request, we were moved to a room with windows from the facade, it is generally quieter there, but every day at 6.30. morning and at 22.30. evenings included noisy installations for watering flowerbeds, in addition, every day until 7 in the morning they brought staff to the very porch in cars that are also very noisy when driving through the paved area, then in the middle of the night vacationers make noise and no one reacts to them, in general, you can’t get enough sleep succeeded;
- payment in the hotel only in cash!?
- there are not enough sun loungers near the outdoor pool and it feels like they were bought at sales (more than a dozen types), etc.
I think that the hotel has a huge potential to become a 5-star hotel, due to the location and existing infrastructure, while the owner needs to hire a qualified manager with experience in creating and providing impeccable service, supplement the restaurant and medical center with staff so that there is no long waiting time, invite an excellent cook, so that people do not look for where to eat and ensure that all the staff of the hotel and recreational complex work efficiently and are focused on providing impeccable service. I wish good luck to the owner and staff of Solva, and those who plan to go there should not wait for something exquisite, but enjoy the wonderful nature and infrastructure, turning a blind eye to a lot of shortcomings associated with the service.
Of the minuses, I did not catch WIFI in the room.
