Let's go "do not sit still" : ) There are no complaints about the hotel, in contrast to its location. It is located, as they say, "neither fish nor meat": neither in the center nor on Jomtien. The proximity of Buddha Hill from the lips of the tour operator should not bribe you: in fact, this is a public park in which there is practically no one, the territory is littered, it is unpleasant to be there, and even more so to walk. The "observation deck" of this hill with the "Big Buddha" - so tourists are brought there and so (free tour of Pattaya). To be honest - just once to look "above the roof", without any special impressions, and for the sake of this you should not settle nearby. The hotel is at the intersection of two roads, one of which has two levels. The roar and roar of cars are provided around the clock. And not muffled, but a specific roar ROUND THE DAY. Balcony doors-windows do not close tightly, to put it mildly. .
there are two sides to choose from: either on three roads, or on one road and a parking lot. There are no Seaviews a priori, so let them not scratch at the reception))) They are tightly closed only in room 207, but there is a pump in it, which serves to move the water in the pool and also supply output to the floors, turns on every two hours for minutes 40 ...at the same time, the feeling that you are standing in the middle of the airfield is such a buzz!
Do not open windows for fresh air access. This means that the "conders" are constantly working, otherwise it quickly becomes stuffy - the rooms in it are ok. 20m2 (half of which is bathroom and toilet). As a result, my throat was severely cold, both of them, and two days from the trip went down the drain. My friend and I are active and young people, not very pampered, and we planned to go on excursions. But even for us, staying at the hotel is just "TIN".
Leaving the hotel on excursions does not help - because upon returning during the night, you not only do not rest, but you get even more tired.
Especially after two days of Koh Chang or Kwai.
By the way, the hotel itself is located on a rather dirty, extremely inconvenient and UNCOMFORTABLE territory for a pedestrian. And I also understood that this part of Pattaya is something like an Arab-Indian quarter, unlike (for example) from the north, where European "land development" prevails. Its specificity, here someone is closer in spirit.
About the proximity of the sea. The same concept is relative - dofiga to stomp to the water on foot, but this is PIRS, that is, swimming there is "not in the subject", dirty and unpleasant. I don't even want to get my feet wet. Yes, it's a 10/15 minute walk to Walking Street. But a place for an amateur, one of those to come a couple of times and spend most of the time outside of it. So that's also a dubious plus. And even if the goal is Walking Street, I repeat: a huge selection of places better than Manita. Don't spoil your vacation. If this was my first visit to the country, I would have stayed with these curses, and I would have forgotten about returning to Thailand, like a terrible dream.
In general, I think that in Pattaya a huge selection of hotels and places is more pleasant than paying for this "brain removal" (even at the price of a burning tour). To still feel that I flew for so many hours to rest, and not as a guest worker : )
For those who go to hang out (and understand that this is a country of beggars and for beggars looking for adventure on their genitals) this is a hotel with many unnecessary options that you don't really need. And for those who are looking for extraordinary landscapes, like in a movie, then you are not here, they simply do not exist here. There is no sea at all in Potaya, or rather it is not the sea, but water in which even dirty Thais do not bathe.
Pros: new, clean, quite European design (Although there are some signs of gypsyism). Everything is clean, cleaned normally. There are 2 bottles of drinking water daily in the room. There are some instant and brewed water, tea, kettle, coffee maker, hair dryer.
The Junior room has 2 rooms, 2 TVs, 2 air conditioners, a balcony, a glass wall between the bathroom and the bedroom (you can close it with a curtain). There are no insects, well, sometimes small lizards, but so pretty.
Breakfasts are ok, but don't expect Egypt or Turkey with 5 stars. Oh so far away. Fruit only watermelon and pineapple, and so on. day. They don’t indulge in variety. Yes, and there is no one to indulge. The hotel has only 5 or 6 floors. on the floor of rooms for 8-10. In short, it is very small and quiet in terms of the atmosphere inside.
10-15 minutes walk from Volkin Street. On the steps of the hotel you can catch a tuk-tuk (local minibus, but traveling along some strange route, you can check it with the guide, but that's another story)
The main and main disadvantage of the hotel is avtodizhuha behind a leaky window. We are on the 4th floor, very noisy. We are simply residents of the metropolis and this is familiar to us, but not desirable. The pool is small but we didn't even have time to try it. For those who need the sea, not to Pattaya, but to the islands. Here you need to go on excursions. What difference does it make where things are.
And, in general, I wrote a review only because this is a new hotel and of ours here, apparently, there were few people, there are no reviews.
In short, a good hotel. For lovers of movement, you can find something more economical, and for lovers of relaxation, there is neither sea nor silence. But we knew that we were going for outdoor activities and just chose a cheaper option. Didn't regret it at all.
And in general, when reading reviews about Thailand, read where the tourists come from. There are a lot of Russian poor tourists here. I have nothing against beggars and Russians, but it's just that Russians are closest here from the north. Well, historically it so happened that the post-Soviet countries are not very rich. And here there is enough poverty. Therefore, if you are a person of average income by European standards, then this unsanitary srach with terrible prostitutes will annoy you. But then you will go, look at the Thai beauties and begin to forgive them this shortcoming.
In the photo from the hotel's website, everything corresponds. So it makes no sense to put your own.
About tour operators: "Coconut", "Sasha-tour", "Jasmine". They have Thai owners. On the Internet you can find their phones, without leaving your room, you order a tour, a car picks you up and there you can pay cheaper and better than ours. Kokos and Sasha are partners. Narku Kwai go, but not with Katya (Good girl, but not a guide, the stock is very small, it will ruin the whole impression).
By the way, I am writing from Manita's room. Wi-Fi in the room for 60 baht ($ 2) per day, at the reception for free around the clock, but there is no camera for Skype and no Russian keyboard, so even in the search it is very difficult to find something in Russian. Take a laptop if there is a small one (here there is a paid excess at the airport, not more than 20 kg per person)
