The hotel building is beautiful and old - the former villa of Alexander Humboldt himself (I hope real tourists do not need to be told who he is). The interiors, unfortunately, are far behind the exterior of the building. Inside the hotel, there is so much plastic trim, which very unsuccessfully mows under natural materials, which is already disgusting.
Checking into the hotel was a total circus. I was driving from Salzburg, I couldn’t book a hotel on the train due to poor internet, I just saw that there were places, so I planned to just buy a room on the spot. At the reception sat (more precisely, slept) an absolutely muddy uncle, judging by the dialect, a guest worker, who said that there were no places. God of sales 80 level... Well, no, no, I say and ask for a password from the hotel Wi-Fi. I book a room on Booking and show the confirmation to the receptionist. He begins to sigh resentfully that he is forced to work, but in the end he gives out the keys to the room. Why they keep such a worker, I don’t understand.
The room is good, spacious, everything is there, including a mini-bar. Cleaning was spot on, bed linen was never changed. Once they forgot to leave a towel for their feet. Breakfast is not a fountain, not four stars, but hearty and quite varied, the dishes change periodically. The coffee is so-so, kind of burnt.
Plus, the hotel has its own spa. Small, but there. Sauna, Turkish bath, swimming pool and jacuzzi are included in the price. I didn’t manage to try the massage, because there was always no one at the SPA reception. Apparently, the same lazy bumpkin works as at the general reception.
In general, you can live in a hotel, but I would recommend looking for a better option for this money.
A complete disappointment from the hotel, was in this hotel in February 2009 the Humboltd package, which included full board and 3 procedures per day per person, (the price corresponded to the quality) this autumn the owner of the hotel changed and the hotel workers now claim that now 3 procedures during the period stay, it can be either 3 days or 20 days, does not depend on the number of days of stay, although the price on the booking. com website is per day. So understand it as you wish. Medical procedures now have to be bought separately which comes out to a decent amount (as priced as the Colonnade or Lower Bristol), and the variety of procedures and their service is not so first class (there was a case that the medical staff did not properly flush the inhalation apparatus after a flu patient person and as a result, two people who crawled after him are sick with the flu). So for the third time I will not go to this hotel, although I have a habit of going to the same hotel. It is unfortunate that there are changes for the worse (((
