We lived on the 3rd floor in a standard room. The room had a small fridge (in which we occasionally kept fruit and water), a kettle and bags of coffee and tea, a TV with hundreds of channels, of which 1 was Russian, a balcony with sliding glass doors, a bathroom with a hairdryer, air conditioning (by the way, it does not turn off automatically when you leave the room). They cleaned regularly every day after breakfast, when we went to the sea or on excursions, every day they put a bottle of water per person. Tipping was left at 20-40 baht.
There were no ants in the room until we brought some fried nuts))). But when we flushed these nuts down the toilet, the ants miraculously suddenly evaporated. There were no mosquitoes at all, which was very pleasing. Once, after a late arrival from an excursion, they found a tiny gecko, the children let him out onto the balcony and he safely escaped into the night along the wall (probably to the neighbors)).
The staff understands almost nothing in English, but in Russian nothing at all! )).
There is a safe at the reception for free, we immediately handed over our passports and tickets there. On the 1st floor of our building there is the Internet - at the reception you buy a card, inexpensive, I don’t remember exactly, my husband bought and connected, 100 baht somewhere.
The hotel stands on the road, very close to the sea, there is a beach across the road. This fact distinguishes it from many other hotels. The traffic is not very intensive, so there were no problems at all. The beach is clean with crisp white sand, the sea is also clean, the water is blue and clear. There are red flags on the beach if you can’t swim, waves, currents and yellow ones if everything is calm.
Breakfast started, it seems, at 6:30 and lasted until 10:00. The food was delicious, but every day it was the same: potatoes fried in cubes, rice with corn, onions and carrots, vermicelli also with some vegetables, fried bacon, ham, scrambled eggs, an omelet is cooked in front of you, boiled rice with shrimp, or with crab meat or chicken. You can make your own toast and eat it with jam. There were also pancakes, sausages, vegetables, fruits, yogurt. From drinks tea, coffee, juices. We ate for half a day.
The first days were decently burned by the whole family. Be careful, stock up on protection! The sun is very hot here.
We went to Phi Phi plus the Bounty, a one-day excursion so that the children would not be so tiring, there are gorgeous beaches, the sea and natural landscapes. Swimming with masks, all this is given out. The kids loved it and loved it! They also organized a wonderful family photo session. This is a memory for a lifetime, we are at sea, on a ship and our kids are still small. All at reasonable prices, agreed with Anya, an employee of a local company, if anything, I will recommend. Thanks!
In general, without a doubt, choose Phuket for relaxation.
Now about the hotel:
Liked the hotel in every way. The location of the hotel is very good. Karon Beach is wide and has crisp sand. It is considered by many to be the most beautiful beach in Phuket. It didn't bother me to cross the road at all. This is not a highway, but a two-lane road and traffic there is of medium intensity. Walked to Kata beach. Sun loungers are paid. But it's everywhere. Since all the beaches are public. Beer on the beach is twice as expensive as in the store. And we ran after him to the store across the street. This is two minutes. The money was kept in a safe at the reception, as our guide warned that there were incidents with the loss of money in the room. But during our stay there, no one lost anything.
Of the minuses, one can only highlight:
1) old furniture in the room. But it didn't bother us.
2.2) a large number of Russian-speaking tourists, (and this was very annoying. It's a shame for them. But we'll skip it)
We arrived at the hotel in the evening, at the reception we filled out a form. No one speaks Russian in the hotel. But my weak English was enough to communicate with them. Left a deposit of 100 USD. e. . which we took when we moved out. I liked breakfasts, always fruit, soup, oatmeal, fried and boiled eggs. Pancakes, toast and much more. There are many cafes nearby where you can have a delicious lunch and dinner. On the left side (if you are facing the sea) there are a number of massage parlors (probably 8 pieces) we did massages at 1 and 3. I liked it more in 3. where Taiki is in yellow T-shirts. and 4-5 cafes with delicious food and inexpensive valuables. We ate a big lobster which cost us up to 20 USD. e. and if you bring your own seafood, it will be even cheaper. On the right side of the hotel there are also cafes and bars. Shops, you can buy fruits, but their prices are the same for us. Many times more expensive.
They also say that in Tae it is much cheaper to eat from macaroons, but not in Karon. For example, in a bar, a dish of rice noodles with seafood, a huge portion costs from 80-100 baht. (3-4 USD) and on the top of the bowl you can take a small shish kebab for this money. My husband has one tooth. Delicious pancakes with bananas and other fruits. In general, there is a lot to be said about food.
There is a chain of stores 7/11 - they work around the clock, there you can always buy something to eat. Drink, replenish the account on tel. Tel. communication there is very cheap. A call to Ukraine cost less than a dollar per minute. In my opinion, 3 at. e. - min. 10. I don't remember exactly. The guide gave us a card, as in Tai it is not customary, as in Turkey, to transmit information through the reception. Therefore, information about departure or changes in excursions was told to us by the guide by phone.
Where can you walk in the nearest area: we were afraid to rent a bike.
Or rather, even then they decided, but the Thai distributor did not give it to us, having learned that we had not ridden on it before. Therefore, we took a taxi near the hotel (it turned out to be cheaper than a tuk-tuk) and went to Patong (an entertainment center in Phuket), bought up in a supermarket there, walked. I advise you to visit the Fuji Japanese restaurant. It's very tasty there. Located in JungCeylon shopping mall.
We went to View Point - an observation deck where the whole island opens, then the driver offered to take us to the elephant nursery so that we could ride elephants (he gets a kickback from this) we were first announced one price (I don’t remember which one) but we bargained for a long time , since I only had 900 baht with me. (27-30 USD) eventually bargained for this money. Were at the show "Fantasy" I can not say that they were delighted.
There is much more I would like to say. But this will no longer be a review, but a story about Tai.
the hotel has 3 swimming pools, one with a jacuzzi, one deep, one shallow, i. e. everyone will choose what he wants.
breakfasts are the same every day, but the choice is large, so you’ll definitely eat up. Many Russians rest in hotels, well, or it was just such a check-in with us, in general, we had a super rest, everyone was happy
And probably the most important thing - do not be afraid to take excursions in the shops on the street. It's three times cheaper! Trust me, they won't let you down. Everyone is counted and labeled. My husband and I went to the Phi Phi Islands for 2500 together, and our guides offer 2950 for one!!!! ! Then they took more excursions on the street. Everything is wonderful. Have a nice holiday everyone!
