Standard rooms are small, but in Israel this is more the norm than the exception to the rule. As it should be in real 5 *, everything is very clean, tidy, tidy, although, in my opinion, not very modern. All, without exception, rooms in the hotel have balconies and look at the sea, and the view from all is frontal, not side.

There are also rooms of higher categories Royal and Presidential. They are larger. There is no longer just a balcony, but a large terrace with a jacuzzi and sun loungers, of course, also overlooking the sea. Plus, guests of these rooms can use a certain set of additional services: business lounge (snacks and drinks throughout the day + internet), morning newspapers and more.
The room rate includes only breakfast - very tasty and varied. Dinners can be ordered before the trip for $40-45/person. per day or pay locally. The Isrotel Royal Beach has several restaurants, bars, an English pub to choose from.
On the territory there are 3 pools on 2 levels with caves, grottoes, as well as a children's pool. Around the pools there is a large green lawn, many palm trees. Also, the Isrotel Royal Beach hotel has a SPA complex - saunas, jacuzzis, massage rooms - there is where to go if it's cool outside (important for those who travel in winter).
The hotel has its own piece of the municipal beach where guests can use sunbeds and umbrellas for free.
For children there is a room with slot machines, and, perhaps, everything. The hotel is trying with all its might to create an atmosphere of a solid and expensive holiday, respectively, it does not particularly favor children. That is why for families with children, I would advise you to choose a simpler, but more "family" hotel. For example, hotels of the same Isrotel chain located on the 2nd line - Lagoona, Sport Club, King Solomon and Royal Gardens. I stayed in two of them myself - here are the links http://www.turpravda.com/il/_ylat/Isrotel_Lagoona-h24529-r91464.html and http://www.turpravda.com/il/_ylat/Isrotel_Sport_Club-h16650- r91828.html
But for those who go on vacation without children and are accustomed to a high level of service, the Isrotel Royal Beach hotel will be comfortable!

I got to this hotel and realized that here I will have a real rest, the view of the hotel alone already inspires confidence - one of the most beautiful buildings in Israel. Service at height, 2 times a day room cleaning, polite and helpful staff! Excellent entertainment program, live music, etc. The tour operator Aurinkomatkat helped me with the choice, the most important thing is that they have a direct flight from St. Petersburg to Eilat, no overpayments and transfers...

Surprising is the extreme distrust of the hotel to its tourists and the indefatigable desire to heat them financially. Surprising is the extreme distrust of the hotel to its tourists and the indefatigable desire to heat them financially. It starts with the fact that at the time of check-in, they certainly take a security deposit, while voicing 300 shekels, and by default they block another 2.700 shekels on the payment card account (allegedly for possible room-service services). If you do not have an SMS-informing service, then you will not know about it, and in the final payment upon departure, the second amount does not appear at the reception at all. Look for it later with your bank at home if the bank believes you.
Further, using the services of the hotel against an appointment with the room number, there will come a moment when the total amount of expenses exceeds the deposit of 300 NIS, then they will immediately refuse to serve you a drink or ice cream, and turn off the phone in the room until your deposit is replenished. Those. force you to constantly credit the hotel.
It is not clear at all - what kind of deposit can we talk about if you come to the hotel in advance having paid in full for accommodation and meals? The practice of paying for related hotel services in the world, as you know, is different - you write down all the expenses on your room account and you pay everything in full when you check out.
In general, without extreme necessity, you should not give someone a card for payment here, because. the risk that you
If you have paid lunches or dinners when buying a ticket, then at least once a week a non-working main restaurant awaits you. And you are directed to the Ranch House or a Chinese restaurant nearby, saying that you will have a free dinner there. This will be the case, but at the end of dinner you will definitely receive a check indicating the cost of the dishes eaten for free and will be offered to pay for the services of a waiter - 11-13% of the cost of dinner. Thus, you will once again have to pay for a free dinner. No one will warn you about this in advance.
On most sites where the description of the Isrotel Royal Beach hotel is placed, the hotel's own beach is indicated. This is actually not the case, Eilat hotels do not have their own beaches! You will only be given a towel at the hotel for going to the nearby beach. And the beach of the Isrotel Royal Beach hotel is located outside its territory, everyone can be there, it is reminiscent of Sochi beaches in the Soviet years in terms of filling density.
The sites indicate that the water temperature in the sea is about 24 degrees and you can swim all year round. In fact, the water does not exceed 18-20 degrees, because. The Gulf of Eilat has a depth of up to 2 km and the beach is constantly washed by deep cold currents.
If you need peace at night, don't dream about it while staying at the Isrotel Royal Beach. Until 3-4 am, numerous establishments on the promenade compete in the volume of enticing music (as a rule, the simplest three-note mumbling), and after 4 am, tables begin to rumble on the veranda of the hotel restaurant (it is located in the central part of the hotel’s inner territory and the sound like in a well between the walls of a hotel).
And, finally, if your plane takes off in the evening, then all requests for the opportunity to stay in the room for 4-6 hours after the check-out (for an additional fee) will stumble upon complete rejection and at 12 o'clock you will be aggressively put out.
I will never go to Eilat again.

This year, the Israelis, for some unknown reason, lowered the price, as a result, a week for four, together with tickets from Moscow and back, came out to 2.000 dollars. In general, for Israel, especially for Eilat - it's really inexpensive. I booked a hotel through an Israeli website (in Russian, by the way). They ask for prepayment by card. It was a little dumb (usually, after all, an amount equal to the cost of one day of stay is blocked on the card, but here they were charged for the entire period), but everything turned out perfectly. Transfer was not taken. We flew to Ben Gurion. From the airport we went to Haifa to visit relatives. From there by bus (6 hours) to Eilat. The move went without surprises. Children are used to such things, we go to Europe by car every winter. And there are hauls for 9-10 hours a day. So we are no strangers, and the bus is comfortable, driving with stops.
We liked the hotel. Not to say, of course, that it fully corresponds to the 5 * category, but it is quite 4 *. Well, since we, Russian tourists, are used to the fact that hotels almost always overestimate the category, we didn’t pay much attention to minor negatives. The rooms are spacious, the views from the rooms are either Jordan or the pool and the sea. We got to Jordan : )
Clean, linen and towels are changed on demand, the staff is mostly polite, with the exception of Russian speakers, they seemed to take revenge on us for something. But we just beat them. If only some kind of tension was felt, we simply interrupted the conversation and turned to another. Thus, we protected ourselves from the ignorant. The food is plentiful, not super tasty, but very varied. We had 2 meals a day, which is quite enough for an adult. We still fed the children with lunch in restaurants or cafes.
The hotel does not have its own beach, just like many other hotels. But it didn't bother us at all. In the morning it was even nice to walk to the beach in the sun, which we have so little in Moscow. Sunbathing on the beach of the hotel "Dan". From which, by the way, when choosing a hotel, we refused, regretting $ 200. But in vain. "Dan" makes a very good impression. Anyway. Next. There are many excursions. Not very cheap, but some should be visited. King City for children, Oceanarium, dolphin beach. We did not go to the Dead Sea, we were last year. We didn’t go to Jerusalem either, we also visited last year.
It is convenient to travel in Eilat by taxi. Taki is not very expensive, adequate. True, one pretzel deceived us all the same. I took him to the Oceanarium on a long road and tore off twice as much. Well, figs with him, a taxi driver and a taxi driver in Africa, I hope he comes back to haunt him.
We really liked the pool. Really cool. Not huge, but not tiny either. Three baths. Adult, youthful with cascades and children's. There is a slide, but it works somehow strangely, we didn’t ride the children on it. Good service. True, we were refused to write down drinks on the room number, because. did not open a loan, but quickly and politely corrected the jamb when I went to the reception.
The children's town, which is especially noted in the advertising of this hotel as something unique, does not represent anything interesting. Let me tell you straight away, it's a scam.
I really liked the attitude towards children. Israelis are generally distinguished by their enthusiastically gentle attitude towards children. Animation was arranged for children, in general, it’s not clear at all. True, they gave "Shrek" and the children, in principle, understood the main line. Long story short, they love it : )
What did not like! Noise and din. The Israelis are very noisy. Some morons lived behind our wall, who one night did not stop whinnying like fucking horses. I endured for a long time, then got ready and went to beat the snout. But all my fighting ardor passed when they apologized to me very politely and with sincere regret a thousand times. Another time, below the windows, although we lived on the 11th floor, some freaks found out something among themselves, it was very unpleasant, I wanted to throw a bottle of water at them (a stupid act), but my wife stopped in time, limited a call to the reception. One more example. We are sitting on the veranda having dinner, an Israeli is sitting on the fifth floor and yelling something to his friend, who is sitting by the pool. And so they tore their throats for an hour. I remembered a joke: "But it was impossible to call... ". In general, this noise really loaded.
And so the impressions are good. I would recommend this hotel. Of course, fastidious and capricious snobs are unlikely to like it, but positive people will.
