I do not advise to rest in Neptune Rimonim in Eilat.
Now to the point. The rooms are different, in some the furniture is not of this year of production, but not spoiled by cigarettes and knives of hungry guests. The view from all - to the sea, but it is better - if they settle higher, but in general to the water from the building - 50-70 meters, "your" beach, i. e. do not pay for sunbeds and umbrellas. Meals - half board, soft kosher - there will be no meat for breakfast, and dairy for dinner, although it probably happens as part of other dishes. The choice is decent, the level of cooking is also not bad, I was pleased, as keeping kosher, you can cook so varied and delicious. The hotel is large - and the restaurant is for 300 people, so the waiters with several plates are not surprising, but it is clear that they are trying. There are no problems with the language for those who "read with a dictionary" - almost everyone understands Russian, at least at the level of oral counting. The price of the hotel is a relative question, but apparently this allows you to see semi-professional musical groups after dinner in the lobby instead of amateur performances in the style of "Turkish night"
The main question for every tourist: "Would I go there again? " I would answer, "More likely than not. " If you enjoy your vacation instead of looking for flaws (and who doesn’t have them? ) - the hotel will not be a problem.
Decent hotel in the heart of Eilat. Almost all rooms with good SV
Excellent food and its own free beach, though not very good.
Disadvantages:
For a five star restaurant service level is very low, more like 3 stars than 5. The quality of food and variety is a solid five.
They can deceive (or make a mistake? ) At the reception.
Review:
Price for two for breakfast in November (week) 1200 kopecks. Upgrade for HB is about another $500 (worth it). Thanks to Solvex for a good price.
At the reception, Russian-speaking staff, if you ask them politely, if available, will accommodate you as best as possible. We had a great room with amazing sea views. At the reception, almost everyone is very pleasant, except for some individuals who are not very honest or not very professional. Serve quickly.
The room is good, not the best I have seen, but quite decent, the safe in the room is free, there is a kettle, glasses and cups. Ironing board and iron upon request at reception. They bring it very quickly and can even leave it for the entire period.
There are 2 entrances to the hotel, one main, the second (the most frequently used), to the pool and also to the sea (through the gate, which is open until some hour, I don’t remember exactly what time, then it opens only with the hotel’s key card). Coming out of the gate you will see stalls and stalls with souvenirs, clothes, shoes, and right there the beach. Take towels by the pool. The beach is not very good, there are pebbles and sand under your feet, the entrance to the sea is in slippers, as the pebbles are sharp, then the sand The beach itself is very narrow.
In November, from the 16th, the water is cold in my opinion. But I forced myself to enter, bathed, but not for long. Degrees 22-23 maximum. When there is no wind - more or less. By three o'clock the water is warmer than in the morning, sometimes at 4 it is warmer than at 11-12 for swimming. It's already dark at 5.
The hotel has a good gym, but I did not go, there is even a SPA, in my opinion.
Every day the hotel entertainment evening programs, some better, some worse. Sometimes even fun.
In general, there is nothing special to tell about the hotel, in principle it is good in everything, almost all rooms have a sea view, it’s just that trees close it on the lower floors, there are rooms that, for various reasons, have a very, very relative sea view, but most with a real sea view. We had a front! ! Booked the usual starndart, for not the highest price.
The hotel is also perfectly located, in the center of the resort, next to the Sheraton hotel. Reviews are not the best, Sheratons are generally very deteriorated.
In my opinion, the best hotels (and, of course, expensive ones) are Isrotel Royal, Dun, Herods Palace. They also have the best beaches!
Well, now about the sad - the main restaurant. I must say right away that the food at the hotel is wonderful, the choice is huge and almost everything is delicious. No complaints. My dissatisfaction is with the service, I can rate it at a triple, no more. The waiters are simply lazy and slow, in dirty aprons, they collect food in bags right in front of the guests. This is probably my first time in such a relatively large hotel, yes, of course, it is difficult to serve such a large number of guests, dinner, by the way, is there in 2 shifts. From 18.3-19.30 and from 20.30-21.30. But nevertheless... the waiters, instead of cleaning the tables, are already in a hurry to set them for the next meal, so you have to wait a very long time until the plates are removed from the table, as a result, you look for where to put them yourself, on the next table or on their serving tables. Sometimes there are not enough cutlery on the tables, you have to take it from the next table, because you can wait until the restaurant closes. The restaurant itself resembles a huge canteen, nothing more. In general, you can describe for a long time, but I won’t, I’ll just say that the service is disgusting. But since I liked the quality of the food and the variety, I just had to close my eyes to the service.
Another important thing: at the reception they can cheat or make a mistake... I don’t know how to regard it. I'm not even going to explain the situation. So ALWAYS!!!! ! even if you would use almost nothing, check out the day before departure! I did. But not at this time.
As for the resort itself. It is important to say that ATMs in the coastal tourist zone will not give you money, so immediately go to the city bank, there is an ATM and you can withdraw money there. ATMs in the tourist zone by the sea do not work with Russia and not only with it.
There is a good shopping center in Eilat, there is a bank branch there, there should be an ATM from which you can withdraw money, I didn’t notice the truth, so it’s worth finding out there too.
The course in our hotel, by the way, was oddly better than anywhere else, so we changed money right at the hotel.
There is a cheerful Sea Star beach near the Shopping Center, in my opinion, there are a lot of water sports and entertainment, the music yells very loudly, someone even dances, it’s terrible to sunbathe there, of course, but if you are interested in bananas and other water pleasures, then you there.
There are a lot of shops in Eilat, there are good clothes, expensive and not so much, in general, there is where to spend money, especially if you attack discounts. Excellent very very comfortable shoes!!!!!! ! It is not the one that is worn in Russia, almost all without heels and no island of noses and uncomfortable shoes, for the most part it is not classic, but simply comfortable closer to a sporty style or shoes and boots on a very comfortable platform! In the BIG shopping center, near the airport, there is a shoe store, there is a huge amount of such unusual and, moreover, comfortable shoes, especially boots.
And, of course, jewelry. Mostly expensive, but there are different jewelry at an affordable price. The shopping center on the embankment is full of jewelry departments, there is a nice unusual shop of products by the Israeli master Lalo Treasures, on the second floor, if I remember correctly. There is a representative office in St. Petersburg, but not in MSK, alas ((. Products are not expensive, but unusual and very cute and “funny” and colorful.
There is no need to talk about cosmetics. Do not buy right away, prices are slightly different there, while each store may have its own promotions and discounts. Israeli cometics are represented mainly by Premier, Ahava, Sea Beauty, Sea Spa (the Gold series is especially good), Doctor Fisher and there is also a series with pearls, I don’t remember the name, maybe even Sea Spa. Well, Dr. Nona, they have their own office there, representatives usually walk along the beach and distribute advertisements and invitations.
From entertainment - a 3D cinema, a ticket is about 180 shekels, but it's worth it, especially those who have never been there will like it. There is also a WOW show at the theater of the Isrotel Royal Garden hotel, a ticket, if memory serves, is about 110 shekels, discounts for guests of Isrotel hotels. Dolphin Bay is a bay with dolphins, there is no show, it’s just that dolphins are bred in this bay, you can watch them from the pier or swim with them for money after the briefing. You can’t just stroke, because dolphins just don’t swim to the pier and don’t let you touch them. Paid entrance.
Underwater observatory and oceanarium - very cool, from the Must see section! Located next to the hotel Orchid, from the center by bus 10 minutes.
Of course, there are many cafes and restaurants in Eilat, you can find inexpensive ones, there will not be any frills there. There is an intersting bar 3 monkeys, I recommend it, but there are not always free places in it.
Oh, and Kings City amusement park. It is located in the center of the tourist zone, where the hotels are.
Surely, there is something else, such as a bird park and not only, but have not been anywhere else in Eilat. It was decided not to go to the Dead Sea.
I also wanted to add something about the airport. The one we flew into from Tel Aviv's Ben Gurion is right in front of our hotel! ! So we just crossed the road with our suitcases and that's it! You can see how low the planes fly in the photo. The noise does not interfere, but it's scary, God forbid, it will fall! It looks like you can reach it with your hand. So if you don't have a lot of suitcases, you won't need a taxi. We had to take it back, because in addition to 2 suitcases, there were also bags and packages and it was not possible to take everything at once.
Thank you all, happy travels!
In the evening, it was unfortunately impossible to open the window and enjoy the fresh sea air, because there was a strong smell of fried food and, moreover, music was blaring, especially after midnight, so I had to sleep with the window tightly closed and curtained with the air conditioner on.
As a result, we had to take a taxi or a bus to the beach - this is when the hotel was on the first coastline - we went to the beach of the Princess Hotel there were no stalls, and there were no crowds of people, and you could snorkel among the coral reefs.
From our room, we asked to be transferred to another - quieter one, and we were moved, but, unfortunately, the roar of music was still heard, and so we had to sleep with the window closed. At the reception, we were told that the hotel has long been struggling with night discos, as they interfere with vacationers, but in vain. We liked the hotel and staff.
