Beloved wife, tired of stressful work and everyday life, made a utopian, from my point of view, decision to celebrate the Family's Birthday (5-year wedding anniversary) in the Maldives, at the same time fulfilling her innermost dream. After reviewing the prices and reviews, we stopped at the Eriyadu Island Hotel from November 19 to 26.2016.
Well, on arrival, a surprise awaited us: instead of a paid bungalow on the Ocean, we were settled in a room for staff without windows above the reception with a satellite dish with a diameter of 3m opposite the doors and after the explicit eviction of one of the staff, as evidenced by a broken air conditioner without remote control (repaired), lack of a TV (brought in), someone else’s open shampoo, a cup with tea leftovers and an unwashed toilet bowl in addition ...The receptionist girl made big eyes and claimed that everything had been agreed with the tour operator (the notorious Join up), and the tour operator should have informed us about this (about the fact that we will be accommodated in a staff room? ), and she did not react to the voucher with the specified and paid Superior room and did not name the terms of stay in the closet in the Maldives. So, the situation: a couple in love, having paid off a real bunch of green money after a daily flight / connections, arrives in paradise, in which all places are occupied. .
It turned out that this is not all. Arriving for dinner, we were asked to wait until the others had a meal, because there were no free tables (they are reserved by bungalow numbers (and we didn’t even have a number above the door, because the room was not for tourists). , for already very hungry, and settled down at the tables on the street without light in the rain.
There were SMS messages from us to the travel agency, and a call to a local agent - a representative of the tour operator (we called immediately, on the day of arrival), who promised to sort it out, but later - Saturday, you know, weekends are everywhere. They moved us, at our great request and since we constantly bothered them at the reception, the next day, and a table was immediately formed. But the whole day was lost, and the festive mood from our wedding anniversary was also gone.
Upon arrival home, dear Join up "lost" a written request from the travel agency, which was made on November 19, saying that it was necessary to apply earlier (although we applied on the same day), and then notified that the hotel was to blame for everything and it was necessary directly download money from them without leaving the cash register. And the hotel does not respond to requests from the travel agency to confirm the situation. That is, they threw us a tidy sum (calculate for yourself: if you get there and back for two days, plus the day of arrival, check-in after 14.00 (maybe earlier) and the day of departure on suitcases after 12.00). The reason, in our opinion, may be that locals come for the weekend (Fri-Sun), they settle where there are places, and if you are "lucky" to arrive at the wrong time, you will live in the Maldives in a bunker and eat leftovers after all .
Probably, there is also an agreement with tour operators of the "garbage" level of the Join up type, for settling the first day / days (depending on the power of the tourist's voice) in rooms of a lower level, or in general in rooms for staff, as happened in our case (i. e. up to the level of the plinth). By the way, on the next Fri-Sat, several couples were also observed standing bewildered near the "closets" against the backdrop of a satellite dish.
Now, in essence: the hotel meets the quality of 3+: air-conditioned rooms are "experienced", not bad, but with thin partitions, the food is good (with an eye that everything is imported - chicken, beef, lamb, salads, rice-potatoes, tuna is always, very delicious sweets, 2-3 types of fruit), free drinks only in the morning ("juices" unlimited, tea / coffee - one cup), prices in the only store are exorbitant due to the lack of alternatives (T-shirt - $ 25, water 1.
5l-$4), plus there is no choice in the store either; there is no animation and, of course, the Chinese who come for a couple of days to check in - such as the Hajj to Mecca / Medina or the pilgrimage to Jerusalem. Ball table tennis, billiards, a lot of books in many languages.
Naturally, everything is compensated by Nature and the Ocean. We snorkeled several times a day for a couple of hours in coral slippers (it is better to take fins) and filmed sharks, moray eels, a turtle, an octopus, manta rays and a bunch of fish (an underwater camera would definitely not be superfluous).
I advise, by the way, be sure to use sunscreen 50 - fried even in T-shirts with dense clouds.
Crows, herons, funny chickens and flying foxes live on the island (like bats, only with a kind muzzle).

Bungalow on the ocean, it's an incredible feeling, the view from the bungalow is so beautiful that words can not describe. But the bungalow itself is old, I would like to change the furniture, but clean. The room has a TV that does not work, kettle, air conditioning, mini bar. To be honest, the room is the worst that was on the island, it is old, but very atmospheric, we knew where we were going, waiting to see 5 stars.
We were offered a hotel room with renovation, there are much better conditions, but no different from other holidays at sea. The bungalow is unforgettable when the ocean came 1 meter to the bungalow. And by the way, they also have VIP-class bungalows, but much more expensive.
The food is nothing special, not bad and not very good. There are no gourmet dishes. The kitchen is spicy.
The area is cleaned in the morning, very clean, the island is small, there is a massage parlor (fee), gym (free), table tennis, restaurant, swimming pool.
The reef is very beautiful.

- an excellent dive center, but here are the near dive sites for the top three, the distant dive site is good. I was lucky, there was a great Russian speaking dive instructor from Lithuania named Linos. Linos will leave in November.
- aqua center. Russian instructor Alexey. Our group consisted of 5 people, Alexei took us on a speedboat to nearby reefs, where people went snorkeling. We also went kayaking around the island. We made an unforgettable sailing trip on a catamaran.
Negative:
- The territory of the hotel is poorly landscaped, apparently there is not enough water.
- television. We showed one program from Male and that somehow. For the hotel staff, the request to establish television turned out to be something on the verge of fantasy. The neighbors had two programs from Male and showed well.

Since our budget was small, we opted for the Eriyadu Island Resort 4-star hotel, along with an Aeroflot flight, transfer, accommodation and full board for 11 days for two, the amount came out a little more than 110 thousand rubles. from 12 to 23 June 2011. And now the long-awaited date of June 12 has come! The flight was wonderful - friendly stewardesses, comfortable seats (despite the fact that we flew in economy class), and quite good food))) In general, the nine-hour flight passed quite unnoticed, I managed to watch a movie, and sleep, and listen to music. We landed at Male airport. At the exit there were a lot of meeting representatives of different companies, we immediately saw ours in a blue beacon and with a sign "Maldivian". Our representative's name was Lucy, a very nice girl, she asked how our flight went, said that we can contact her around the clock for all questions (I also thought how good it was that the company took care of a round-the-clock representative, because we do not know English. In an hour we sailed on a speedboat to the island, I was amazed by everything that surrounded me, everything was true, like in a fairy tale, like in photographs in magazines... even better!! ! At the reception we were greeted by a friendly hotel manager who gave us the keys to the room. I note (for those who are going to fly to this island) that the hotel rooms are quite simple, although everything works fine, but for us the Maldives is a paradise, where the gentle ocean, gentle sun and amazing nature. Eriyadu has a wonderful reef. Every day my husband and I snorkeled and saw lots of colorful fish, corals, cucumbers and much, much more. Despite the fact that the hotel is standard, every day the chefs delighted us with some delights. For breakfast, fruits, porridge, muesli, yogurts, sliced ​ ​ meats, omelettes, hot dishes were served. For lunch, be sure to have soups and various snacks. By the way, I love fish, it was here that I first tried real tuna! It was amazing - very tasty fish. For dinner, we were spoiled with seafood, grill, pasta, delicious desserts. In the evenings, we walked along the beach, went to the bridge, and looked at the “dancing” manta ray. Eleven days, alas, flew by unnoticed, the rest came to an end. . When we took off, it was so sad to look at these tiny islands disappearing in the distance, and I thought I would come back here, I will definitely come back! My husband and I express our deep gratitude to the Maldivian company for the organized tour, we really liked it, and we promise that we you again!

We rested with my husband and two children (4 and 9 years old) in the Maldives in this hotel from 11/31/2010 to 11/11/20010. The airport is located on a separate island with one runway, the feeling that you land in the ocean (fortunately, you can see the runway on the TV screen). The view from the porthole is unforgettable: turquoise islands are scattered across the blue surface of the ocean (book the appropriate seats on the plane). The island was reached by boat min. 50. It was stormy, so we were not shocked much (when we were driving back, the ocean was calm). The island is small, all buried in greenery. The houses are densely packed, but you rarely meet vacationers. Mostly at dinner. There is only one restaurant, the food is delicious. There is a bust only with spices. Pepper, pepper, pepper everywhere. Not enough fruit. The staff is smiling and friendly. On the opposite side of the pier is a wide beach. The distance from the beach to the reef is from 5 to 10 meters, there is a large beautiful lagoon nearby. In the lagoon, the bottom is sandy, the water is clear, 2 stingrays and several reef sharks swim. It is very convenient to relax with children, the depth in the lagoon is up to one meter. The reef is densely populated with all living creatures. We met all the representatives from the book "Pisces of the Maldives". Sharks, rays, surgeons of all colors, huge triggerfish with teeth in their open mouth, octopus, many moray eels, starfish, squid, lionfish with long needles, a two-meter barracuda (just horror! ). Dolphins came by almost every day. Big family - seven adult dolphins. One day, towards the evening, a turtle swam to the buoy. The weather was wonderful, it rained a couple of times at night, and the sun again during the day, the ocean was calm, a strong wind blew three times in the evening before the rain, but there were no waves, the children even swam alone. We lived in two rooms 126 and 127 (because there are four of us), the rooms are spacious, air conditioning, a large double bed, 2 armchairs, a coffee table, bedside tables, a dressing table, a wardrobe, a bar, a refrigerator, the furniture is a bit old, but everything works and functional, the bathroom is large and well finished. Cleaning and linen change every day. The most well located numbers are 109-135.109, 110.111 rooms are good for lovers, from the window (it is on the whole wall) you can see the ocean, dawn; the beach is not big and secluded. With children it is more convenient to take numbers 117-135. They are located a little in the depths of the island in the shade, with a huge sandy beach, there is where to run and chase crabs. There is practically no beach on the opposite side of the island (northwest), the island is eroded, and the coast is reinforced with sandbags. From entertainment: billiards, tennis there is a night bar with good cocktails, all orders and purchases are marked on the check under your signature, you pay on the day of departure. The main bartender suggested that we pay in cash, bypassing the check and it's cheaper for us, and he earned it. One couple said that in the same way they paid for a romantic dinner 1.5 times cheaper (where ours did not disappear!!! ). There were no discos, but they are not needed there. There are no playgrounds. At first it was boring in the evenings, but then you get used to it, and you understand how great it is to lie in a sun lounger on a small island in the Indian Ocean and admire the night sky. Full "relax". I have never seen such a cluster of stars. The hotel does not have a large library, though only one book in Russian by O. Roy "The Script of Your Own Mistakes", I liked it. The souvenir shop has everything you need, although it is better to buy souvenirs at the airport in the check-in hall, and the choice is larger and cheaper. I visited the Spa-salon - I really liked it. Prices are from 45 to 60 $ depending on the type of procedures, these are mainly different types of massage. We went on a tour of Turtle Island. The island is a reef sticking out of the water, to which it is impossible to swim by boat. The locals said to jump into the open ocean and swim to the island to watch the turtles. This shocked us, since we were with two small children (we were expecting to land on the island). There is nothing to do, put on life jackets, fins, masks for the children. And they jumped from the boat! Thank God it's not in vain. We didn’t have to swim to the island, we met three turtles not far away. Overall impressions are wonderful, I did not want to leave the island. Just heavenly delight.

The flight from Samara was delayed for half an hour, and we circled over Moscow for another hour. In a good scenario from Vnukovo to Domodedovo for about 40 minutes... total registration is over. On the way from one airport to another, complex negotiations were conducted by phone: the Samara travel agency, the Moscow travel agency, the sending boy at the airport..... in the end, they waited for us  Of course, a flight with a comfortable double-decker Transaero Boeing cannot be compared with a KrasAir charter. In general, the hotel was chosen according to the principle: a good house reef for snorkeling, normal cuisine and reasonable price (there is a crisis, you need to be more modest) PROS: The reef met all our expectations. Sand near the shore with a convenient sandy passage to the reef. CONS: The hotel is a normal three stars…. . what to expect from them. A good hotel manager is clearly not enough. The staff living on the island behave very freely. In the evening they have obligatory football, in the morning they relax in hammocks..... while: 1. For ten days, our beach was littered with jerry cans, chewed-up shoes, and a lone slate overgrown with shells. 2. The coast is overgrown with dried bushes, which in no way decorate the island and give it an untidy look. In principle, it is not realistic to get around the island along the coast, since the bushes in places go deep into the water. Many rooms do not have their own beach at all, as there are impassable thickets in front of them. In this regard, there is not so much sunny beach on the island and it is naturally always crowded there. 3. There are only two separate rooms on the island, the rest are connected in pairs by a very thin partition..... hear everything!! ! In ten days, it was possible to study the peculiarities of having sex with Arabs, Germans, Chinese and Indians. For some reason, our neighbors did not stay for more than two days and, not knowing about the “subtleties” of the partitions, desperately indulged in love on a paradise island....: )) I liked the Germans the most: quickly, a couple of sobs and sleep! The Arabs got it specifically! All night, with half an hour breaks for talking, sleeping, watching TV... and more sex. It was our most sleepless night on the island. Then we got tired of all this and we just drummed on the wall in the "very high" .4. We lived in room 115.110-115 rooms, three houses with the best location. I recommend! Diesel is not heard, the pier is on the other side of the island, its own open beach, south side. 5. Nutrition. Incomprehensible obligatory HB with a meager assortment. The food is delicious, no complaints...... but not enough  . For lunch we went to a bar on the beach. A chic menu and everything is delicious, but somehow I don’t really want to eat at lunch... that’s the problem. For breakfast, scrambled eggs, pancakes, breakfast cereals, cheese-sausage-tuna, a couple of types of buns..... and all. For dinner - always fish, chicken or meat, three types of pasta, two types of rice, three types of stewed vegetables, salads, ice cream, some desserts. Fruit was not spoiled .6. All ten days passed barefoot. The paths are sandy and even the restaurant has a sandy floor. There is a good shop on the island where you can buy not only souvenirs, but also sweets, cookies, shampoo creams. By the way, the hotel only provides soap. So shower gels, shampoos - their own. 7. Rooms with old tattered furniture. But all equipment works well. TV, air conditioning, fan, hair dryer. Bath + shower in the open air. The rooms are cleaned regularly, beach and bath towels are changed like clockwork. But the bed was changed only once. All sockets are equipped with Euro adapters. We were satisfied with the rest. Because nothing relaxes like lying on a warm garden bed, next to the same vegetables !! …but never go to this hotel again! There is still where to go!
