Is it worth going on an excursion to the Colored Canyon, swimming in the Blue Lagoon?
Good afternoon! Tell me, who was on an excursion to the Colored Canyon, swimming in the Blue Lagoon is it worth going, which time I'm going, but I can't decide to lose a day?

I was on this excursion, I liked it very much, we take a separate excursion every time we come to Sharm only to the "Blue Hole" - a blue hole in Dahab
Veter.Peremen will tell you better for the prices of the whole large excursion, here is the link

This is a very interesting excursion. Go to our website, there is a description of it! Definitely worth a trip)

I was not happy:
-drive through the desert in a not very comfortable jeep
-we walk along a shallow gorge, the colors of the canyon appear only after the rain...
-small rest + tea in a Bedouin camp
- "Blue Hole": if you have a snorkel, take your own (rent is not cheap). Entry into the water is not very convenient (stones + corals), we swim in a group along the coral wall, swim into the "hole" and go ashore. There is no time dive yourself + in our hotel the reef was more picturesque ...
- lunch in a dirty cafe
-Shower for a fee (toilet I don't remember exactly)
-camel ride
- some store in Dahab (tiny town)
-the same jeep to the hotel...
There is a sense in "Blue Hole" if you are a DIVER (although there are enough monuments on the shore for the dead ...)

This is a very interesting tour and I really enjoyed it.
RetuRneR greatly thickened its shortcomings.
The canyon is colorful regardless of whether it was raining or not and is very picturesque. Not Petra, of course, but very beautiful.
Of course, it is better to take your own snorkel and mask (as well as corals), just for hygiene reasons. There is a bridge to enter the Blue Hole and there is no need to walk on stones. But you can't reach the hole barefoot in Dahab - the ground is very hot. Even a simple observation of how divers dive and how fish swim away from them in air bubbles is a bewitching sight.
So take this tour, you won't regret it.

There is a very strong wind in the winter-spring period, big waves. But the beauty is incredible. You need to bring your snorkel and mask. If available, a wetsuit

Were 28.12 on this tour...
colored canyon - such as in the picture, they say you can only see after the rain ...
so well, a crevice, climbed, the views are beautiful .... but the second time I would not come ....
blue lagoon - we had a dive there - I really liked the reef .... but those who swam with a mask - everyone was not happy, the wind, and usually from above ...
blue hole - everything described above is true ... the toilet is also paid 6 feet (and not just the shower) ...
everything would be fine, but at the end of the tour, instead of the promised old market in Dahab, they are taken to a store with cosmic prices and brains soar for an hour ...

the blue lagoon and the blue hole are two different places for snorkeling

by the way, we rented a wetsuit along the way (3 dollars) - we needed it, the water there was much colder than Sharma ....
along the way they brought us in a jeep and offered ...

and even if you eat - they will ask you for lunch - will you serve a cocktail now or after dinner, what will you drink ??? (this is for an additional fee ... cocktail 3 dollars, a can of cola - 2 dollars.)

go don't bother. One of the best fairly close and inexpensive excursions

Thanks to everyone for the advice: we are traveling with teenage children, I realized that it would probably not be very comfortable, except perhaps in the last days, if everyone really wants to change the atmosphere of the hotel))

Very interesting tour

I don’t advise anyone to go there. The corals themselves, that the hotel is everywhere dirty, well, just the catacombs, everything is ruined, it stinks of camels. The lagoon doesn’t even smell there, just the sea, there is no blue water. Canyon is a divorce, I didn’t see any beauty there.

This is a Bedouin city. Very poor everything is already scary.

Why then go on a trip, if it stinks for you, they live very poorly there, it is not convenient to go into the water there. They show you their country, their nature. It is very interesting to see how these people live and stop complaining about their lives. You ride these camels, but they stink. And if you come to our stable, doesn't it stink there? And the blue lagoon is very beautiful, the canyons, this is nature and it cannot be beautiful, but the fact that it is inconvenient for you to go into the sea, sorry that the sea did not make you comfortable. I liked everything very much, I myself wanted to see it all)

Not beautiful *

The tour is very interesting. Don't trust those who slander her. Of course, this is not Petra (this is in Jordan), but I highly recommend it. Really interesting. And swimming in the Blue Hole from above (snorling) is something.
