The advantages of this hotel are a place protected from the wind (you can travel calmly in November-December), delicious coffee, good food.
The sea - before I visited Marsa Alam (and before that I was only in Hurghada), it seemed to me very beautiful. There really are not many living corals left there, but there are still. Living creatures hang out even in dead corals. For me then (this was in 2008) and these corals seemed like heaven on earth.
The minus of the hotel is a huge number of yachts in the sea, not very high-quality dishwashing and cleaning, but what I didn’t like most of all was the staff who were too arrogant and spoiled with tips. Tips are taken for granted and already due to them, and not as an encouragement for a job well done.
But for such a price, as it is sometimes offered - in general, a good option. I personally have a good impression of that trip, the cons have somehow faded into the shadows over the years.
