We rested at the Sphinx Hotel from April 19 to April 26.2012 with my husband, son and his girlfriend. In Egypt 6 times. The hotel is not at all 5 star. Continent of vacationers 99.8% Slavs, 0.2% Poles, did not meet Germans. The rooms were booked by family room. Tour operator Tez tour. We arrived about 12 days. Upon check-in, they threw $ 20 to quickly settle in, they gave one room immediately, the other waited another 2 and a half hours. The rooms were given on different floors on the second and fifth. We had no problems with cleaning, everything is clean, both for children and for us. (left every day for a dollar). A lot has been written about plumbing, I join those reviews. Why is there a kettle in the rooms, no one answered me, even Natalya. There is a kettle, but no cups or coffee or tea. We bought cups, coffee, milk, but I see this for the first time. You can talk a lot about food, food in hotels is very poor, not like a five-star hotel
, soups for lunch and dinner are just tin, everything that was probably left from salads was crumbled and cooked, it’s not possible to eat, only borscht could be eaten when it was the day of Russian cuisine. There are no coffee machines in this hotel, only instant from a jar with taste cocoa. There are always no appliances on the tables, complete self-service, and the hotel is like a five, lunches were at the King Tut Hotel or in a restaurant on the beach, the queues are terrible, the tables are dirty, the floor is sticky. The waiter Dia is a creepy fellow. Juices, if you can call them that, are so diluted with water, it is not possible to drink them, since there are many shops nearby and you can buy juice there. They could not get into the Ala Carte restaurant, the entry was from 10.30 am to 12.00, having arrived on 10.10 there were no more places. Mosquitoes overcame at night, since I took a fumigator with me. Now about the beach, it reminded me of the Crimea of ​ ​ the 90s, people lie on top of each other, sometimes you can’t go to the sea, you can’t find sunbeds closer to 10 in the morning. In the morning you can still swim with a mask, but after 11 the tide is out. After dinner, it is not possible to sleep, the music rattled so loudly on the pool, as people had small children sleeping under it. There is nowhere to go out in the evening, the territory of the hotel is very small. There are two monkeys on the territory, but they have a very dirty and disgusting smell in their cage, there are also two turtles that are fed with an old lettuce leaf. The hotel is located in old Hurghada, it did not impress us. We went to a paradise island, we took this tour from Samushka on the beach, the price is $ 25, from Tez $ 55, the tour is just super, there were a lot of impressions, photos and videos.
Conclusion: Egypt has deteriorated a lot, let's see what happens next, I will not recommend the hotel to you, there are more worthy and cleaner even four!! !
