question for girls about clothes
we are going to the Czech Republic in November, we plan to visit the national museum, the zoo, plus excursions to Bavaria (to see castles), to Cesky Krumlov, pubs, restaurants of course. the question is next. Girls, who was there, is there a certain form of clothing for excursions to castles? they talk with the weather in the Czech Republic in November how lucky, what to take with you from clothes? what did you take? I read somewhere that some pubs are very cold. Should I take a light evening dress? (to a restaurant, for example, if it’s warm there) I’m confused ... I don’t want to drag the whole wardrobe with me ...
ps Buying clothes in the Czech Republic is not an option.

Lenochka_1989_, it all depends on you :)
If you want to go to a good restaurant in an evening dress, who will stop you? :)
We were at the end of May - the weather turned out to be rainy, so jeans and sneakers were very appropriate. It's not cold in pubs, that's for sure. Noisy, fun and .... but not cold at all.
It is already quite cold in Eastern Europe in November, the weather is rainy, so 100% take warm comfortable clothes for walking. A beautiful dress will not take up much space in your suitcase.
Have a great trip!

Hello! They went to Prague in January, they dress democratically there, outerwear can even be called boring, Russian women stand out. I want to talk about locks separately, it’s terribly COLD there, I took shoes on a chip, it helps not to shiver to the bone.
and on a chipped pavement it is quite comfortable to walk, but by no means high heels. Many restaurants-cafes are located on the basement floors, they are not suitable for evening dresses.

thank you very much for the advice about castles, and the guide at least warns about warm clothes?

How about just wearing heels? I won't break my legs on the roads? ))
аватар Lenochka_1989_
(not on a tour of course) so for a walk.

No, the castles are all made of sandstone, not all rooms are heated, very good. feet get cold, but in general it’s better to dress warmly, and we also bought Becherovka and periodically applied, but we got to Epiphany frosts, but in the Czech Republic it’s worse than warmer (in winter), Pts high humidity, for me it’s better to stay safe, as it wasn’t insulated , came from vacation with herpes (huge). In Prague, they don’t wear natural furs, but they don’t need to, but I took it and didn’t regret it

You probably won’t break it, but you can ruin the walk, shoes for walking around Prague are either solid or with wide heels, otherwise I saw one “our” girl, it was a pity to look at her, the whole center is paved there.

thank you)) I have just with a wide heel) I'll take it just in case.

Been there twice in November. We were very lucky with the weather (+14+16, sunny). But this is not the case every year. The most important thing is practical comfortable shoes, it’s good if you can also wear a sock. If you are going to visit the pubs, then people dress very democratically there, everyday. If you plan to visit a respectable restaurant, then evening dress is quite appropriate. If the tour is a sightseeing tour, then you should not bother with evening dresses. I go to Europe exclusively on excursions and have never taken evening dresses with me. You simply may not have time to change clothes, as the tour program is very busy.
If you are already very cold, take some Becherovka with you, and in Prague itself in November they sell mulled wine at every turn.
Have a good trip!

What about clothing prices?
аватар travelsita
Mass market is definitely cheaper.

I advise you to pay attention to shoes and bags, better, more interesting, and cheaper without discounts, but there is always a shelf with discounts in the corner

No need for heels and dresses unless you are planning something especially festive! It's all stone blocks, and in ordinary restaurants people are dressed casually, in a dress you will look wild.
Shoes need waterproof (or have a change + dryers) and comfortable, as they wrote correctly - with the right sole. Pants, jeans. Pullovers, jackets, preferably with a hood. The guide does not warn you about warm clothes, it is cold in the castles, in November a headdress will not hurt either.
For prices - there are shops that are not in Ukraine - for example, cheap C&A, H&M clothes. And well-known brands are practically at the same price as ours, repeatedly tested.
Z.Y. It takes a whole day to visit the zoo! And in the evening after it - in a zucchini :)))

Was in November 2012. It was cold: in the morning to -5, in the afternoon the temperature rose to +7. Wear and dress as warm and comfortable as possible. I took jeans, a warm sweater, comfortable spare low-cut boots. She did not suffer at all from the lack of heels and outfits.
In the zoo in November, 70% of the animals were taken out for wintering. But still, it was interesting.

Don't bother with toilets. In the Czech Republic, everything is quite democratic! The main thing is to be comfortable. Only very high-level restaurants go to evening dresses. You can safely wear jeans and a sweater, just do not freeze. And the castles are not heated in winter, it may be cool, but you can not take outerwear to the cloakroom. Although you will not have time to freeze, in winter most of the halls are closed and the tour runs along a shortened route

I support the advice about democratic and comfortable clothing - if you want to see Prague and its surroundings, you will have to walk a lot. As for individual excursions - they are more expensive, BUT! it's worth it, in addition, you can pick up options for a mini group (in any case, we were offered such) Sergei's coordinates (very efficient guide with his own transport - [email protected]
