Walk along the Vlatva
Friends, tell me, please, is it possible to buy a ticket for the boat on your own? The travel agency offers walks for 25 euros with a dubious buffet ... Based on the experience of previous trips (Budapest, for example), buying tickets on your own turned out to be much cheaper and more profitable.
I would be grateful for advice (worth / not worth / if it is, then where and how to buy tickets) and reviews!

You can easily buy your own ticket. There are a lot of offers to ride near the Charles Bridge. The most noticeable barkers are blacks dressed in a cabin boy's suit:) almost all options are the same for the price: in my opinion up to 15 euros with beer. Cheaper for kids.

Of course you can do it yourself! We paid somewhere around 20 euros with a buffet. The travel agency has nothing to do with the buffet. By the way, it was very tasty and satisfying. You are brought to the pier by a group, the guide agrees and you leave. If on your own, then you need to wait until the minimum number of people for the trip is reached. It was such that 8 people did not want to ride. To be honest, because of the 5 euro difference, I would not bother with organizing a tour of the Vltava on my own

The difference in the cost of a walk between a travel agency and local agents is 7 euros. But there are no problems with transport. They will bring and take you on the bus of the travel agency. I liked the buffet and it's not at all questionable.

Thanks for the tips :)

Look at the reviews, in general, do you need this walk. The Vltava is a narrow river with many rapids. You will not see almost anything interesting; you will spend most of the walk in the locks. Better to walk along the promenade, as for me.

Completely agree with Lu-la-la. A significant part of the time of the river walk is spent on overcoming the rapids (drift with the flow). And if you mentioned a walk along the Danube in Bydapest, then a walk along the Vltava cannot be compared.

typo - of course in Budapest

I agree with Lu-la-la, there is nothing interesting in this walk ... The only thing I remember is the "Baked pork knuckle" from the buffet))). Delicious!))

I agree with everyone. There is no boat trip along the Vltava. We only took cheese from the buffet for a glass of Becherovka. The rest was disgusting.

For us, this walk was an opportunity to warm up and have a hearty meal. There was a guide on the boat, but it would be better to say that she did not interfere with us, because she could not clearly pronounce anything. The food was very tasty and varied, our whole group liked it. The walk was 03/27/2013
