In Switzerland - it's unlikely! Far away for sightseeing! But Austria is quite accessible! In the mountains, the temperature and weather are really unpredictable! So waterproof jackets and boots are a must! But as for public transport, I can’t help you with advice - we travel in our own car. I highly recommend Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Neuschweinstein, Salzburg, and of course Nuremberg.
