I think that there is no point in going towards the northern coast - it is far and tiring. I would advise Nessebar-Sozopol with a tour, not by yourself, to listen to the guide, it's interesting. Go to a Bulgarian village for a picnic with folklore. I like Sliven-Zheravna, it's deep into Bulgaria. In general, excursions are more interesting from the north coast.
