what is the weather like in august?
I want to go but I'm afraid of the cold weather, as if not to get sick not on purpose.

what cold? There is the south, even south of Crimea)))
The only thing is that the evenings can be cool, you just need to wear a blouse.

Were in this area in August in 2008 - the temperature was 32-35! no one froze, and sweaters were not useful. a light night breeze from the sea ... such a pleasant rumple washed over the soul ...

Get sick from the cold?! It's interesting... It's definitely not cold, but you need to take a blouse, in the evenings the breeze can seem cool, especially if you overheated on the beach or treat yourself as cold (like me). But only a blouse, not a jacket, not pants, and even more so not a hat, well, a windbreaker is possible ...

And in any case not a sheepskin coat!

August is the coolest month for a holiday in this area, warm sea, great weather. And for the evening, a light blouse at most.

We travel every year from August 7th for a month. This is the best period for rest - the sea is warm, but by the middle of the month it doesn’t bake so much anymore. We do not wear a jacket. In the very last days of the month, almost every year it gets cold for 3 days, then a jacket is needed. And then it's good again, like "Indian summer", everyone swims and sunbathe. And in stores from this period discounts. I love driving at this time. But not in Elenite. There, for sure, you can get sick, only not with a cold, but with intestinal flu due to the large crowds of people and many children. But there are also lovers of this resort who like everything there. Maybe they haven't been anywhere else?

We were 2013 from May 31 to June 10, and a thief of times from August 27 to September 7. The weather at the beginning of June is good, but not hot (a jacket is needed in the evening) - the sea has not warmed up yet, we swam several times. Yes, and in the Aqua Park (on the territory of the hotel we had) the water was ice cold. At the end of August-September, the water is warm, there are not many people, and the heat (but moderate). And what kind of weather is more suitable for you, judge for yourself. But for us and the child (2.7), both the weather came up.

At the end of August, festivals take place in Nessebar. Start at 20:00. And until 23:00. I don't remember any warm clothes. I also looked at photos of spectators at dance festivals, a pop-rock festival, which I took on August 23-28. Everyone is dressed lightly. Even after rain and cloudy weather in the Sveti Vlas amphitheater on August 25, I did not see warm clothes.
The weather starts to deteriorate in the second half of September. For 3-5 days. But you can swim until mid-October. Later it's more difficult. Dipping is still comfortable until November. And it's easier again. The last time I got into the water was November 9th. But in the winter I never caught a cold.
You can go safely.

Kozyrog, read your answer about the warm sea. Agree completely. But I have a question. We were told that in September there were problems with rough seas, it often stormed and a red flag hung. Vacation this year falls at the end of August. After four years of rest in Sozopol, we ordered Greece, but we are thinking about coming to Sozopol as well. Want to share a vacation. Is it really possible to swim in September?

About the weather in September - gorgeous !!!!!, most of all, there is no sweltering heat, it's comfortable. The time was from September 15 to 22 - for the first visit and from September 13 to 20 - for the second visit. The dates were chosen deliberately. The sun is gentle, the sea is warm, not stormy. Mild chill in the evening. Starting from September 18, short-term rains began in the evenings for 1-1.5 hours and such a buzz after the rain while walking to inhale the smell of pine needles and the sea. And in the morning again sunny, warm and dry.
