Lotos is a hotel-restaurant, with a focus on the restaurant. They cook deliciously, but the owner also made a disco there. No peace, no rest. I would not take this hotel. On the beaches of Balchik (if it can be called beaches at all) in August it is very crowded, especially on the one that they go to from Lotus. There are better hotels there, Oasis and Helios. They are away from the center, it is not so noisy there. And it is unlikely that the beach will accommodate everyone in August, but there is a pool with sun loungers, and two steps to the sea. In general, it would be better if you asked early when choosing. I'm afraid that you will not like Bulgaria, but Balchik has the worst beaches on the coast. Nearby - in Kranevo and Albena - fine. Please write a review when you arrive. I didn't even dare to go to the Oasis in August. We are going to other resorts for the whole month. And we will definitely go to Balchik (probably for the tenth time), take a walk in the Botanical Garden. My opinion about Balchik is a beautiful place for excursions, but not for relaxation. I would like to know your opinion as well. But you can not remake the same operator in the Oasis? Disco at midnight is serious. It didn't exist before.

She personally called back to the LOTOS hotel - talked with the top manager - the hotel did not do any night disco. So - it is better to advise people on the sanatoriums of Belarus!

I was in Bulgaria along the entire coast from Balchik to Sozopol several times over the course of 8 years, 2 times during the summer. You may not respond to my advice, which you yourself ask, but why be rude? And I have not been to the sanatoriums of Belarus at all, because I am a Muscovite, and now I live in Belarus with my son and continue to travel to this wonderful country - Bulgaria. I see how people get lost on the forum, they don’t know what is better to choose. Why not help? I wrote to you about last year to keep you informed. Maybe they closed it already because my good friends said it was impossible. You should have found out from them. Just rested in Balchik at the Lotos hotel.
Great weather, great climate, picturesque place, beautiful architecture of Balchik. The room is quite tidy, cleaned every day, the staff is polite. Meals were taken only breakfast, monotonous but edible. Didn't like the restaurant, ate elsewhere. Supermarkets have a lot of cheap products.
I consider the lack of normal beaches in Balchik to be a big minus. Therefore, we went to Albena, fortunately not far - 9 km. There are beautiful sandy beaches with clear sea. You can even find rather sparsely populated places (for example, near the Gergana hotel).
About the night noise. Every day in the Lotus restaurant there is live music until about 11 o'clock. It did not bother me at all. But next to the Lotus on the embankment there is an incomprehensible tent, here something is constantly thumping in it at 3 o'clock in the morning. You can't sleep with the window open.
In my opinion, Lotos is acceptable as a motel to spend the night and travel on your own, which is what most European tourists do.
