I rarely write reviews! If frankly hooked! Just got back from this hotel. Three stars does not match! I will describe briefly! Maybe someone will help my review, do not spoil your holiday. I have not singled out a dirtier hotel and room (we travel a lot). Smoky, dirty, dilapidated room. Torn curtains, the same grid on the balcony door. Bathroom without a shower with a hole in the floor, a half-working faucet in the sink, an old trash can with a loose lid. Old linen and towels (yellow-gray). Fridge didn't work, TV remote didn't work either. A restaurant with dirty, chipped dishes, poor food. Cleaning daily consisted of straightening the sheets on the bed, nothing more. The feeling that the room has not been cleaned for several years, limited to the floor, and then not everywhere. Everything is sad! And most importantly, the owners do not care. Wifi only in the lobby. Yes, on the first line, but not against the beach, but opposite the pier. To the beach (rather small) about 500 m. Stayed with the family for 4 days, it's good that we didn't book for a longer period. I DO NOT RECOMMEND! Waste of money, ruined holiday! Grade 0.

We had a nice room with a balcony overlooking the sea. The renovations at the hotel are not fresh, but it was not so important for us. Breakfast - buffet, there was plenty to choose from, the set of products is the same every day. Dinner - two dishes to choose from, pretty good. The staff is friendly.

Last year I went on vacation to Bulgaria in the wonderful city of Balchik. We were accommodated in the Lotus Hotel, which is located 50 meters from the sea. The hotel itself does not have its own beach, but there is a free open beach nearby the hotel. Upon arrival, I was immediately greeted by the owner of the hotel, Atanas. A single room was booked for me. Since all the good single rooms were occupied, Atanas suggested that I move to an unoccupied double room. One night I had to spend the night in a semi-basement single room. But the very next day I was moved to a double room with a beautiful view of the sea. Sitting on the balcony, I liked to look at the sea while drinking cider. I was alone in a double room, no one was added to me. The room was constantly cleaned, there was no dirt. All valuables and passport could be left at the reception. As for food, I had half board. Breakfast had a very large selection of buffet food. You could eat a wide variety of food. Here and fruits and vegetables and various hot dishes and sweets, tea, coffee. For dinner, you still had to choose from what they bring. The hotel has its own tour desk. You can choose a tour to make friends with other residents of the hotel. For example, a picnic or a boat trip. I really liked the guide Lyuba, who came from Moscow and treats those who come from Russia and Belarus very well. She is a very good guide, listens carefully to what tourists want from him. She is always ready to receive new information and makes sure that everyone enjoys the tour.
And in the evening after dinner, dancing is organized at the hotel. There are singers and musicians. At the hotel there was a Russian children's musical group "Kashaloty", they also performed on stage.

It is worth telling a little about the city itself. Its peculiarity is that it is located at the foot of the mountain. All the streets of Balchik either go uphill or parallel to the embankment. This location of the city helped him survive the terrible flood that brought considerable damage to Bulgaria last year. There was a strong storm and a cheerful wind. From the balcony of the hotel, it looked beautiful and romantic, but residents and tourists of the "flat" areas had a hard time. But Balchik did not suffer! All heavenly water simply poured from the mountain right through the streets into the sea without causing any damage to the city. Another big plus of the city is that there is little nationalism here. Since it is located almost on the border of Romania and Bulgaria, people there are not fixated on the ideas of "great long-suffering Bulgaria", but are sincerely glad to everyone who is ready to bring them money : )
