I stayed at this hotel with my mother. I wouldn't give this place more than 3*. If you arrived at the hotel at night or early in the morning, I advise you to pay extra for early check-in (we were offered), since you will not be settled in principle before 14:00. I stayed at this hotel with my mother. I wouldn't give this place more than 3*. If you arrived at the hotel at night or early in the morning, I advise you to pay extra for early check-in (we were offered), since you will not be settled in principle before 14:00. True, we were allowed to have lunch on the first day, on the day of departure - no. Free drinks are offered in the lobby (there is a coffee machine). Hotel Laguna Mare is part of the Laguna hotel complex, it does not have its own restaurant, guests are distributed to other hotels, we ate at Sandy Beach. For the same reason, you will not be able to use any of the complex's pools, even lie down on a sun lounger, they will chase you like puppies by the bracelet on your arm. Our pool is the one where the animation takes place, it's noisy all the time and there are no empty seats. And the pool near the hotel, where we ate and where there were half of the free sun loungers - this is impossible.
I'll start with the cons of the hotel:
1 - despite the fact that "all inclusive", you will not be given drinks on the beach, only guests of the Laguna Beach hotel;
2 - if you settle with someone with the same last name, then you will most likely be given a room with one double bed, I’ll say right away that it is quite small and creaky. If both of you are not 60 kg each, there will be a problem. Request a room with two separate beds;
3 - the first thing that greeted us when we opened the door of the room was the fetid smell of dirty socks, despite the fact that the balcony door was ajar. This stench did not leave us throughout the entire period of rest, the door to the balcony was kept open all the time;
4 - there is no hair dryer in the room, it is given at the reception at your request for 1-2 hours. This hair dryer is ancient;
5 - bathroom: the shower is broken (and not only with us, we talked with neighbors from the 2nd floor) so that the water flows only through the shower head, you need to hold the switch on the tap in the up position all the time with one hand, otherwise it jumps off, and half of the water is already flowing through the tap; the faucet in the shower is a piece of pipe; instead of a door in the shower room - a curtain that does not save the floor from splashes from a broken shower, no matter how hard I tried to cling to the wall as much as possible, the floor still turned into a lake; the toilet drain works every other time;
6 - the door lock to the bathroom is installed very interestingly - you can close it from the outside, but you can’t inside;
7 - besides you, other inhabitants will also live in the room - ants and midges, at times they were not visible, and sometimes they simply arrogantly visited us in bed. One of the nights we fought with them for an hour, then we gave up, we understood - it was useless;
8 - be very economical, you will have gel and shampoo only those that were at check-in, they will not add anything;
9 - the room needs at least cosmetic repairs: paint and plaster are falling off the walls in places, the sockets are all held on some kind of props, the furniture is a bit old, the door to the floor was pulled out of its hinges and no one thought to repair it, they made their way through it with considerable effort;
10 - well, the tip of the iceberg is DIRT! For the entire period of our stay at the hotel (8 days), the cleaning lady NEVER washed the floor or even vacuumed it, NEVER changed the bed, I generally keep quiet about dust on furniture, cleaning the toilet bowl, sinks. All cleaning consisted in changing the garbage bag and 2 times - towels. And then she became so insolent that she didn’t even throw out the trash, she didn’t even go into the room. We went to talk to her, we didn’t want to create problems for the person, we thought we’d ask them to clean it up - she would apologize and do her job. How naive we were, the cleaning lady - a tall, thin Bulgarian about 40 years old - imagined herself as the owner of the hotel, where they would apologize, she flew into our room shouting "everything is clean here, don't lie, " and added "if you don't like it, leave. " We went to the reception, explained the situation to the administrator, she said "we'll figure it out. " Another manager came, smiled, said "this is not a problem, you can easily solve it, we will pay special attention to your number. " And what do you think? NOTHING has changed, even the garbage remained in place. This is such rudeness and disrespect for their guests! Put the cleaning lady above everyone else, that she does not even obey the administration. Why not fire and hire a person who will do his job for our money?
Now about the pros (they, no doubt, there are):
1 - the hotel is located on the first coastline;
2 - the view from the room is very good (we lived on the 3rd floor);
3 - the area around - a lot of greenery, flowers, benches, birds sing. The garden is looked after daily;
4 - have your own beach, clean, remove cigarette butts, garbage, etc. , free sun loungers and an umbrella;
5 - there are animators and a room for children;
6 - the room had a new plasma TV (there are 2 Russian channels - ORT and RTR planet);
7 - the cuisine is excellent: a wide variety of food, every day they gave different fish (including dorado, garfish), meat (chicken, pork, veal, etc. ), fruits (watermelon, plums, pears, oranges, bananas), dried fruits, vegetables in different variations, from cereals I saw only rice and oatmeal. Once even hit the mussels. On the terrace there is a brazier (barbecue), where something was baked every day. Very tasty ice cream. The waiters are polite, clean the dishes on time, take out the food.
In my opinion, the problem of this hotel is that the managers are too young, all 20-25 years old. They can't cope, they have no experience.
Bottom line: Albena is a wonderful resort, you just need to choose another hotel. If you want 4 *, then choose from 5 *.

IF YOU EXPRESS MY EMOTIONS IN ONE WORD - HOTEL = SHIT Not only is it not worth that kind of money, it's not worth any money at all! It's not a four or even a two! You can rent a room or apartment from a Bulgarian family in the private sector at a price 5 times cheaper, and you will get 50 times more coziness and comfort.

IF YOU EXPRESS MY EMOTIONS IN ONE WORD - HOTEL = SHIT
Not only is it not worth that kind of money, it's not worth any money at all!
It's not a four or even a two!
You can rent a room or apartment from a Bulgarian family in the private sector at a price 5 times cheaper, and you will get 50 times more coziness and comfort.
I can decipher more.
1. This is a Soviet sanatorium. It was built in the 80s and since then it has only been tinted (and then in some places). Sanatorium with all the consequences! Looks and smells like it
2. He has nothing of his own - a restaurant (canteen, actually! ) In a neighboring hotel, Swimming pool in a neighboring hotel Laguna Garden, Beach one for 3 hotels (Laguna Beach, Laguna Mare and Laguna Garden) Note, if you decide to disobey me and choose any lagoon, then any - Beach or Garden is better than Mare, but also bad)
3. Lobby bar - it stinks of cigarettes all the time (although no one smokes inside, but for some reason the smoke from the tables at the entrance pulls in. There, all the walls, all the furniture, covered with cheap leatherette, were saturated with this smell through and through. reception, experienced an attack of nostalgia - my grandfather smoked 2 packs of "Belomor-Kanal" a day, that's exactly the smell in his apartment!
4. The rooms are very small, very untidy (I will post a photo). First, they will try to settle you on the 1st floor - it is also damp there! wood lice and damp linen, as in the reserved seat cars of Soviet childhood. The walls are thin. Waking up in the morning, I heard all the intimate details of the morning toilet from all the neighboring rooms. Feeling of community.
5. Canteen. The choice of food is not bad. You can find something to eat, neither you nor your children will be hungry. But the quality of food is canteen! this is not a restaurant. In addition to the canteen gorging, you will get poorly washed or frankly dirty plates, spoons, forks, a crush around the dishes, noise from a huge number of people (2 huge hotels are fed at the same time! ), Staff who do not have time to clean it all up and cover new ones. tables, the rumble of cutlery thrown into tin containers for dirty dishes on wheels - a kind of transportable garbage dump traveling from table to table.
6. Pool. There is so much bleach in it that if children swim without glasses, redness of the eyes, lacrimation and other delights are guaranteed to you.
7. Beach. Overly vigilant lifeguards do not allow adults to swim normally, even when the weather is fine - 20 meters from the shore - as soon as you get to clean water, they whistle, wave their hands or swim up and turn to the shore (when they basically don’t allow small waves to swim - stop and flounder)
CONCLUSION - if you live in a 2-room Khrushchev apartment and are used to eating pork and potatoes with cheap chicken legs with mayonnaise, then you might like this hotel, but even then, provided that it cost 4-5 times cheaper.
P. S. I almost forgot to tell you the most delicious thing - both I and the children brought a gift from there - LICE !! ! Neither they nor I have NEVER had this before, despite all the Soviet childhood. Never! - took out a month later!! ! The abomination is terrible!
