1. Accommodation. We arrived late in the evening. We were placed in building A on the second floor. The room is very pleasant. Warm color of the walls, spacious room (18-20m2), large balcony. Tile on the floor. The room has 2 wardrobes, 2 beds, 2 bedside tables, a baby chair-bed (comfortable enough to my surprise), a cabinet for a suitcase and shoes, a dressing table, a mirror, a TV (2 Russian channels), air conditioning. On the balcony there is a table and two chairs, a clothesline for drying clothes. Bathroom: shower, washbasin and toilet. Without glamor, but everything is in very good condition: all plumbing worked, no rust, no mold was noticed.
2. Nutrition. Magnificent. It felt like we were being fed and eaten))). A lot of meat: for 14 days they ate chicken, pork, beef, lamb, duck. From fish: mackerel, herring, carp, herring, shrimps, mussels. Different types of salads, an abundance of vegetables and fruits. We didn’t eat pasta and potatoes - we didn’t climb. Very tasty cakes and pastries. Nice dinner. They took out either a whole roasted pig, or a carp. On the balcony they prepare real pizza, as it is served in Italian pizzerias. There is a snack bar by the pool, for those who do not eat breakfast and lunch, late dinner from 12 to 2 am, who like to eat at night. The bar is open until 2 am, the lobby bar in the hotel until 23.00. There is a restaurant on the beach where the food is also excellent. Of the bartenders, I will note a girl who fulfilled any whim without hackneyed bartending jokes or "not understanding". The rest also did their job, but with a girl it was easier for me.
3. Animation. The animators are the best. Animation program from 10 am to 11 pm, with a lunch break from 12 am to 3 pm. The first days could not find an animation theater and decided that there was no animation in the evening. On the third day, they asked the animator, it turns out to be in the very building of the Ralitsa Superior hotel opposite the reception. The shows are great. Costumes, scenery, professional card deballet. During the day sports games, games in the pool. There was a kids club for children, to which my son ran every day with great pleasure.
4. Staff. Many speak Russian. Everything is in English. Very welcoming. I liked the animators Marty and Eugene, who turned on the audience, the bartender girl, the boy at the reception (sorry, I don’t know the names, but they are distinguished by gender))), the lifeguard at the pool, who really worked, and did not sit out time.
5. Vacationers. The first week of July was full of Germans. The hotel gave the impression of a quiet, prim. Then came the big Russian race. The impression has deteriorated somewhat. Noise, uproar, separation. . . I can't say that the Russians are bad, but in the first days of rest they stand out with big plates, noisy companies, night gatherings, wild games in the pool.
6. Sea. The sea is 900 m. This is the only drawback, because. you have to choose where you will spend the day: by the sea or by the pool. Every half hour there are buses from the hotel to the sea for free. We walked. On time and bus and walking tour 15 minutes. Sunbeds and umbrellas are free on the beach.
Everyone liked it very much! I advise everyone!
Albena is my favorite. Very green, in fact, a continuous park, moderately noisy, but not boring. In the hotel "Ralitsa" was in August last year. The hotel is very good, the room was as soon as renovated, with everything you need except a refrigerator. Nothing broke, did not flow and did not fall on the head. The only point, thin walls between the rooms, and
as soon as the TV turned on "homely" loudly, the neighbors politely asked to make it quieter. But this is in almost all hotels in Bulgaria. The contingent at the hotel is visually predominantly young families with children, although I didn’t really delve into it, Ukraine, Russia, Europe. Do not consider it shameful after moving into the room (and examining it) to give a few leva to the guy who helps carry the luggage.
The hotel itself is not small enough, but its peculiar architecture does not create the feeling of an anthill. A restaurant with an all-inclusive almost next to the hotel, there are also pools with a bar. Outwardly, they look attractive, although I have never been, not a fan. In terms of nutrition, the food is wonderful, fresh,
very varied, meat, fish, vegetable dishes, desserts, fruits, as always delicious Bulgarian watermelons. There are only two types of soups and they are quite thin. I recommend trying soups in other places, they are actually very rich and tasty. I have not seen disgruntled children. In the lobby there are coffee machines, then a small pool for children, a bar overlooking the courtyard. Drinks in the bar are free, so you need to be more careful with overclocking; 0), both local and imported, as a bourbon lover, I took my soul out by hitting Jim Beam with cola. The beach is a bit far, but the walk is pleasant, again greenery and you don’t need to rush anywhere, no matter how you leave. The way back up the mountain.
The beach in Albena is excellent, besides, Ralitsa provides its
free sun loungers and umbrellas for guests. There is a bar on the beach
I think it's called "Havana", with beer, alcohol, pizza, ice cream. As for my taste, Bulgarian beer is very tasty. "Ralitsa", "Zagorka", for lovers of the classics "Heineken", "Amstel", etc.
The hotel staff is friendly, the girls at the reception are not all
they understand Russian well, but one, apparently the eldest, is very
and a very pretty brunette, she will always understand and explain everything.
Comparing Albena in the 90s, 2000s and today, I can say one thing,
she does not change in a good way, maybe that's why I love
this place. The hotel itself left very good memories, with
I would gladly come again, although if I had to choose between
Ralitzey and a hotel near the sea, would probably choose the latter.
I recommend to everyone.
(we lived in room E 309).
There is no hair dryer or fridge in the room. In this heat, it's a must. because water and juices for children cannot be drunk hot. Water was brought to the room only once. and 2 glasses. which for all 2 weeks nirazu not changed. we bought water ourselves in a supermarket at the bus station (it's cheaper there than in the center). of course there is a cooler in the hotel lobby. But you can't fill bottled water there. and what should we wear a glass in the room? how about at night? in shorts with a glass to drink rush or what?
centenary dust in the corners. dirt. balcony zas...th. and every day after the so-called cleaning, I wiped the floors myself (I had to sacrifice my husband's T-shirt) so that we could walk on the floor. and then almost always shod, because the floor was simply wiped, and not washed.
wasps built their nests in the grooves of the balcony doors. just a cocoon hanging on a cocoon. called the cleaning lady showed. she came with a broom. which could sweep away, swept away. the rest remained the same.
The overall condition of the hotel does not match the price.
The hotel is not located in the center, so after 22.00 it is quiet and calm.
If you are tuned to 3 * then the impressions will be positive. The rooms are clean, there is always cold and hot water, balcony, TV, telephone.
You could walk to the beach in 10-15 minutes and these walks were very pleasant. Our 3-year-old child was happy to walk barefoot on warm shell slabs.
The pool was always full of people. Animators worked without interruption, entertained with competitions, dances
The food was tasty and varied, constantly replenishing the dishes that ended. If you are traveling with small children then food should not be a problem. There are also dietary dishes: pureed soups, cereals, vegetable purees. An abundance of fruits, croissants, muffins, cakes, yogurt, jams. And for breakfast, and for lunch and dinner, there were always vegetables (fresh, stewed, baked), various sausages, sausages, chicken, pork, beef, fish, cheeses and Bulgarian cheese. In the hotel, in the dining room and in the snack bar there are machines with various drinks (tea, cocoa, coffee, milk) and coolers.
We did not receive the promised a la carte dinner at the Ralitsa restaurant, we turned this question to the reception on the 5th day of our vacation, it turned out to be too late! They offered dinner on September 1st (and we were leaving on August 29th).
If you like to travel, I recommend visiting Varna (walk along the narrow streets with old houses, see the Assumption Cathedral, go to the dolphinarium), the Aladzha Monastery and, of course, Balchik - the botanical garden and the palace of the Romanian queen.
We rested for 10 days!
About the room!
I'll start with a positive. . . Towels were changed every day and the beds were also made. Butterflies from towels (creativity of maids) were pleasantly surprised.
Hot and cold water was no problem, air conditioning worked well!
Curtains and tulle closed inconveniently - it interfered with opening the front door. There were no rugs on the floor, we had to walk in room shoes - it was an inconvenience for us!
We rested on the first floor. It was convenient, because it was not difficult to go to the reception desk (by the way, I caught wifi only there) and to the LOBBY BAR for drinks! The music from the LOBBY BAR was a bit annoying until 23.30!
On TV there were 3 channels in Russian as well, including ORT!
About Nutrition
They ate to death!
The food for us was delicious and varied!
Breakfast was double as was dinner 7.30-10.00
A Snake Bar was opened near the pool, where you could eat grilled cutlets, pizza, french fries, pasta, 4 types of salads, cookies, fruits and ice cream. Also, the bartenders prepared various drinks!
Lunch 12.30-14.30
3 types of soups, 12 types of main course (grilled meat, you will lick your fingers), 8 types of salads, 8 types of sweets (several cakes and compotes), fruits (watermelons, oranges, grapefruits, apples, bananas)
Coffee machines, 2 types of diluted juice, and Pepsi vending machines (Pepsi, Merinda, etc. )
Dinner
12 types of main course, 8 types of salads. etc,
Cheese, ham, olives and herbs
By the sea - Havana bar
The food in the harbor is great!
Everything is like in the dining room, including the assortment of lunch!
In general, we have gained 5 kilograms!
For the sake of Interest, we went to the Ralitsa Superior canteen (4 stars). Exactly the same menu, only from fruits there are also pineapples and 2 natural juices!
Yes, and bananas are peeled and poured with chocolate!
And so everything is the same. (although we were not in the rooms).
Entertainment!
I liked Albena, as it is an entertainment town!
We are not quiet!
There are various attractions, a small amusement park!
It's nice to walk along the main street with various shops in the evening!
In restaurants - small shows (such as singing Mexicans, etc. )
Animators are constantly working at the pool!
Well done animators! They ravished the people to the fullest!
Table tennis, volleyball, board games, water and land gymnastics, various competitions with prizes, water polo!
In general, the pool is fun!
The hotel has mountain bikes! They are given out for free for 1 hour every day! But no one really followed the time, so we skated more!
Ralitsa is a little far from the sea!
Trailers cost 3 leva per adult!
There is a free bus every half an hour, but in the morning it is packed and there is a crowd!
We had our own car, which was very convenient!
No one took money for parking by the sea, which was also very nice (when compared with Odessa)
Walk from the hotel to the sea 10-15 minutes!
It's easy to go there! Back after the sea - a little annoying!
The services include a free sunbed, umbrella and soft bedding on the beach and by the pool as well!
The beach was VERY clean and the lifeguards did their job well too (children were watched)
The sea is not very deep! Which is very convenient if you are traveling with children!
like everywhere there are entertaining moments with a banana, parachutes, etc.
No one sells hot corn or cotton candy along the beach!
We rested for 10 days and as a special bonus we were offered to visit three restaurants in the city for free!
We chose CocoLoco (Steakhouse), French and Ralitsa Superior Restaurant!
Coco Loco - service was VERY slow and the food was no different from our canteen! I can say that the canteen was tastier!
French - located on the 17th floor of the Dobruzha Hotel
The main advantage is the beautiful view from the restaurant window. You can order dinner on the roof of the hotel, then we went up there -18th floor and a beautiful view! The food is so-so! except for snails - nothing special!
Restaurant Ralitsa Superior - Best of all three!
The food was delicious and there was plenty of it! The waiter was the most polite and there was the best interior!
If you drive your own car, then the entrance to the city will cost you 5 leva per day!
But a magnetic card is made at the hotel, and you will pay ONLY 5 leva for the entire stay in Albena (and you can leave the city as much as you like)
27 km from Albena - Varna!
5 times went shopping!
It is better to drive along the bypass road (i. e. follow the signs), and not along the sea! It is without settlements and is free! 15 minutes and you are in the city!
The hotel has a children's club where animators work with them all day long!
In general, I really liked the rest in Ralitsa!
This is a very good hotel and a place to relax with the whole family!
Early booking in February at the beginning of June cost us 250 euros per person!
For the price, I think it's great!
We want to go next year too!
There are a lot of Russians, so the information that there are only Germans in the hotel is already outdated...
pros
good enough rooms, balcony (lived in sector E on the 2nd floor)
towels were changed every 2 days, but if you wish, you can do it at least every day, but on your own initiative, the maids will gladly change it, if you really ask them about it,
the hotel is just immersed in greenery, so you don’t feel the heat, since it’s located essentially on the 3rd line, it’s not only remote from the sea, which, in principle, is not very convenient in terms of winding 20 minutes to the sea and back, although as they wrote every 30 minutes it goes bus) but also removed from noisy discos and the main street. which makes it possible to relax more or less calmly, but the truth is, if not distraught German children and the same parents, they love to behave in such a way as if they are alone here resting !!!
By the way. when we left the hotel, and we had to leave before breakfast, we were given a bed, which was a pleasant surprise. desire, and nearby (2 families traveled) both in the sector and on the floor on which they wanted, when a week later the parents arrived, again turning to her. she helped them to settle not far from us... a very wonderful little man! always friendly and smiling and not a single request is not left unattended!
As for communication on the territory of Albena, there is no language barrier in principle, the feeling that they have arrived in Crimea . . that's it ! ! speak Russian. Well, except for the inadequate Germans))))
Cons, well, if I may say so, although for us they were not
-they write that the ralitsa has 3 * -3 pools-garbage! maybe it was before. . .
one indoor pool - you can only use it apparently in winter))) well, or, probably, when it's cold, the main pool - which is present in all the photos - is quite large, 2 more pools - which are supposedly on the territory of the ralitsa (but in fact there are no territorial divisions - one hotel smoothly passes into another) belong to the superior and vita park, and they are not allowed to swim there from other hotels, although we went there a couple of times without being noticed)))
restaurants. . . also ONE!! ! we went periodically to the FIRST!! ! A WEEK of staying at the Ralitsa Superior restaurant, but then it turned out that we didn’t have the rights to do that, they constantly wandered to our restaurant from Vita Park, but then, apparently due to the influx of a HUGE influx of tourists, the attendants began to carefully monitor the restaurant’s visitors... although we and one restaurant was more than enough
food - the first days pleased with the variety, then they realized that this variety is always the same)))
True, there are a lot of fruits - watermelons, melons, peaches, nectarines, cherries, apples, bananas... oranges (we took a mechanical juicer and enjoyed natural juices)))
another plus, 3 bars are open throughout the day, so you definitely didn’t have to go hungry . . water in any quantity, soda like Pepsi, pounds, sprite, at least get drunk, ice cream, in any quantity, beer, martini, cognac... though those who used spirit drinks assured that they were completely apparently without degrees))) or maybe because the food was generally delicious!
The sea... shallow, sand, beauty for children, though after the storm there were a lot of algae, and upon the arrival of a huge number of tourists, along with the algae, other "blotches" appeared in the form of a variety of garbage
All umbrellas, sunbeds, mattresses are for money, according to a conservative estimate for one person, visiting the sea costs about 200-250 rubles... we just bought umbrellas that cost 200 rubles for our money, and went with our umbrellas, well, we had to sunbathe on towels . . for some reason there are no trash cans... therefore, bulls could often be found on the beach...
On the whole, the rest was a success, although there was also a minus - the absence of children's animation (((it seemed to be held in the superior section, but for some reason in a stuffy closed hall, you see, spending warm evenings at the sea indoors is stupid...
We went to the animation in the Dnieper (so it seems the hotel was called) it was just wonderful there! Animation was carried out immediately on 4! languages! Bulgarian, Russian, German, English! with the kids and competitions were held and dances were taught . . the animators there are just great!
You can tell a lot of things, who are interested, write!
I will be happy to answer all questions!
a bus goes to the sea every half an hour. But this hotel is practically not mastered by Russians (unlike Magnolia). The nightmarish number of Germans is annoying. The feeling that the German working class has come here to do everything that they are afraid of in their homeland. The best option is to go there with a big noisy company and it will be super. Albena is the quietest place. The beach is ideal for children.
