Long live all lovers of history and historically significant places of our planet!!!

My name is Ognin Platon Alekseevich.

I decided to fulfill the most desired dream of my whole life, namely to visit the most unique corners of our vast planet, to see and touch the great creation of both our ancestors and modern people. Fifteen years of my forty I have devoted to hard work, which brings significant income today. And I am very glad that I can travel, knowing that my business will not fall apart in my absence, as is usually the case in our dear Russia. My friend has a travel company, and every time I met him, his stories about unforgettable travels and the storm of his emotions, I dreamed of experiencing all this for myself. And the time has come, WOW!!! ! By the way, he advised me to keep my blog (he says: let the whole world see and experience wonderful moments, together with you). The discussion of where to go on the first trip was not long. I decided to visit as many of the most iconic places as possible, namely the places that were called wonders of the world. I hope I succeed. The choice of the first trip was as follows: Sydney. Finished with a preface. Now I'm ready to describe my impression of this trip! Super! Well, I'll start, otherwise some unsupported emotions.

My first day.

I stayed at the Vibe Hotel Sydney four stars is enough, since I flew here not in the room and the hotel to have fun, but to learn the beauty of this world, I think a more modest hotel would be enough for me, but oh well. In the morning I went to the gym to stretch my bones before, I hope, a busy day, then went up to the roof of the hotel to swim in the heated pool, in general, everything is cool and worthy of the money that was paid. All I'm ready to go to the world!

A little about the city. And go!

Sydney is considered a fairly modern city, although two hundred years ago criminals from all over the British Empire were exiled here, and now it is a highly developed modern city. There are quite a few architectural monuments here. The first place I went to was the 20th century Sydney Opera House, one of the wonders of world architecture, designed in 1957 by a Danish architect. The most unusual building is now a symbol of Sydney. From the outside, it looks like a shell, which looks like steps rising one above the other, I heard that the architect took this style from the buildings of the Mayan Indians, apparently that's why the building looks with a touch of antiquity. It takes my breath away when I go inside, from the inside it is completely different in the interior there is nothing resembling a building from the outside. Inside the reddish color is a large hall with angular forms for accommodating visitors. It is impressive how unimaginably high is the corner-shaped ceiling. But still, I am upset that the external and internal appearance do not match.

Now I went to the Sydney Harbor Bridge, which stretched from one side of the harbor to the other and connected the two parts of the city. I climbed to the very top of the bridge, which is about a kilometer and a half to go. Considered the largest arch bridge in the world, this bridge is held together with six million hand-placed rivets. I'm on top! Here is the height! Tired as a dog, climbing the countless stairs leading to the top of the bridge, but it's worth it. The top view of the really chic opera building fits in the palm of your hand and both parts of the city are quite clearly visible, tiny cars drive along the bridge, and tiny yachts and ships float on the water. The bridge has 8 lanes for cars, 2 railway lines, as well as a path for cyclists and pedestrians, in Russia you will hardly find this anywhere. And I also saw the ferris wheel on which I rode, from here it also looks not of significant size, which cannot be said while sitting in it. Who climbed the bridge knows that it is necessary to take a hat with you, otherwise it will blow and the rest will be spoiled. The wind is very strong, a bit scary. I admired the area for about half an hour and descended back to the ground, to be honest, I got a little cold. In the evening, I again went to this bridge, but already on the sidewalk for pedestrians, in order to admire the city at night and naturally see what kind of lighting the opera house has. Apparently, such beauty costs the city a lot (or who pays there, I don’t know), but with the numerous influx of tourists to Sydney, this is a small grain of sand. And what illumination of the bridge! I saw something similar in Surgut, but it is definitely much more beautiful here. In Surgut, a beautiful suspension bridge rests on cables, the same interesting design. Huge skyscrapers stretched along the banks, which look majestically into the sky, blinking their lights in the windows. I liked the night city like a child who got into an amusement park in the evening, his eyes run in different directions, everything glows and glitters.

The next place I visit is a wonder of the world. Cathedral - Church of St. James. It can tell a lot about the history of Australia, how modern civilization emerged from the dregs of society. The church is made in the late classical style, but the time when it was built in 1819 is of particular importance. During these years, the city was a slum and a place of exile for bandits, and the very appearance of a church seemed impossible. It was she who became the first stone in the creation of the new capital of Australia, and it was with the advent of the church that the city of bandits Sydney began to turn into a capital. The author of the church project was, oddly enough, an English prisoner named Francis Griflay (I don’t remember exactly that name, I’m writing from memory), he was sentenced to death for forging bills, but then the sentence was canceled and he was exiled to Sydney, and also very interesting the fact that he was featured on the Australian ten dollar bill after his scam. This place is considered the most visited in the city. It is impossible to imagine how such a beautiful church was built in this slum full of bandits, it was in no way inferior to the churches of England itself. This church tells a lot about the people who lived here and embodies the spirit of this nation.

My journey continues and here I am at the Sydney Tower, which rushes up as much as three hundred and five meters. Yesterday I wanted to get into the tower after visiting the bridge, but unfortunately before it was closed for tourists, I just admired the multi-colored lanterns beautifully illuminating this hulk. A friend told me about the Sydney Tower during the Christmas and New Year holidays, he was lucky to see the grandiose fireworks launches right from the tower, he was all in awe! Now I will tell you what I saw interesting in the tower itself. There are three main platforms. The first is a closed observation deck 250 meters from which you can see the whole city. On the site you can buy some kind of souvenir in the souvenir shop, a little higher there is an open area with a glass floor, I didn’t go up there and the third one, as I understand it, is a restaurant. You can climb the tower by stairs, but this is not for me, I got into the elevator and surprisingly quickly climbed to the observation deck for about one minute, and this is two hundred and fifty meters, class! I liked the bridge anyway. When you climb it, you experience quite a bit of adrenaline, but here: once and it's ready. Even though the bridge is twice as low.

And here I am again in my room resting from a stormy day. Tomorrow we fly home, not even a lot of sad. But I do not forget that my goal is to visit all the wonders of the world, and if I stop for a week in each place, then there will not be enough money and even more time for this. I hope you enjoyed my story. I am a new blogger, so do not judge strictly, I will study. I'm looking forward to my next trip while planning to fly to Machu Picchu.

This concludes my story.

See you friends!
