Tour of Australia and New Zealand
My life turned out so happily that I traveled a lot. In what only intricate countries I have not visited! It is probably easier to list those in which I have not yet been. And we all know very well that the more we get used to the big “pickles”, the harder it is to feed us with something that will truly surprise us. Still, Australia and New Zealand surprised me.
This is really a world where people walk upside down! Not countries, but some kind of cabinets of curiosities. An endemic sits on an endemic and drives with an endemic. And their fauna is not the same as everywhere else, and some kind of alien flora, and megacities that manage not to suffocate from crowding and traffic jams, and indeed everything is different. If you want coolness, you go south. If you want to warm up, you go north. There are practically no dangerous predators in the wild impenetrable forests, and at the same time, on the most civilized, civilized beach, you can die from a killer jellyfish the size of a fingernail. Imagine, they even have such intricate time zones, where the time differs by 30 minutes! Do not take it as a racist attack, but compared to all other countries in the world that are attractive for emigration (and these countries are not the word for attracting), neither black nor yellow faces are visible at all, so the visuals on the streets are completely different. Different clothes (sewn from materials we don’t know), different food (made from ingredients we don’t know), a different facial expression (friendly not out of politeness, but from the heart), a different sense of self: amazing in our times of peace, tranquility and security.
I will not talk about the unique beauties there, because you have to see them with your own eyes. I just want to say about my biggest shock, which still does not let me go. All the time I think about how I, “the son of a simple worker and collective farm woman, ” managed to realize my old dream and still climb into those fantastic lands - which I sincerely wish you too. An expensive trip, but believe me: no matter how much you spend on it, you will gain much more.
