Is it possible to independently leave the Pine Grove to Pitsunda and return
My family and I are going to the Pine Grove boarding house and it is very interesting whether it is possible to travel to the center of Pitsunda on our own? Walk in the evening in Pitsunda. How long does it take to get to Pitsunda and are there any entertainment, shops, cafes. Are there shops near Pine Grove?

You can leave on your own, about 20 minutes on a passing minibus or car (about 150-200 r), but in the evening, literally at 10 o'clock, there is a risk of not leaving at all! Or by taxi with the reddest price. There are 2-3 restaurants in the center and an alley with souvenirs, well, also the SSSrovskaya embankment and a pleasure boat .... It will be enough 1-2 times for the horizon. In Sonova Grove there is a shop only on the territory. By 10 o'clock in Pitsunda everything calms down ...

You will first go to Pitsunda during the day for reconnaissance, because it will be easier to leave during the day. It will immediately become clear to you whether you need to come there in the evening. This is a village, do not count on a party.

Well, you have really upset me. It turns out that it makes no sense to leave the Pine Grove? I constantly rested in Lazarevsky and we walked in the evening. It's not about cafes, but just walking along the streets along the embankment. And in Pitsunda (Pine Grove), I understand that, and this is not close? If anyone was there, please share how you spent your time. What can you do there (there is practically nothing written on the sites, you can say the same thing everywhere).
Thanks in advance for your information!

Do not worry. Abkhazia is a wonderful place to relax. Pine Grove is a good boarding house by Abkhazian standards, we really rested in Pitsunda itself, in the Pitsunda Resort association of boarding houses. We had a place to take a walk, but I don’t know about yours, I only saw where is the turn to it. Abkhazia is, first of all, a rest for the soul, there is unique nature, especially in Pitsunda, the air is unique, the sea is clean. But here you will entertain yourself. and the monastery. You will see such landscapes that it takes your breath away. In general, do not worry, Abkhazia is a hundred times better than Lazarevsky (in my opinion).

Can you please tell me how long it takes to cross the border? You need to plan the return so that you don’t miss the plane !!!

The last time we were in Abkhazia was in 2006. Then the border was crossed quickly, in 10 minutes. I don’t know how it is now.

Thank you!

Firstly, there is a shop outside the territory. and cafes, restaurants, etc. and there are many in the area. the territory of Samshitka cannot be compared with Lazarevsky. in the Boxwood Grove there is where to take a walk and shake in the evening. and on the coast there is an excellent open-air bar with a disco. and prices are the same everywhere.
I liked it there very much. I went there several times, with family and friends.
and back you can easily leave Pitsunda if you worry about the phone of the driver (they are the security guards at the hotel) who brought you in advance.

And in the evenings, in addition to the disco, we went to a karaoke cafe, a hookah bar (to look at a belly dance), to the Abkhazia restaurant (very cool, but expensive in the last year), walked in the park and along the seashore. And outside the gates there are very beautiful places and parks. During the day, children have somewhere to attach. There is a great children's room with animators. And we ourselves have something to have fun - swimming pools, bicycles, horses, fishing, ball games, tennis, aqua aerobics, fitness, a gym, various treatment rooms. I'm not talking about excursions. it was impossible for us to remake and try everything, honestly!

when crossing the border, keep in mind that there may be problems with the transportation of paintings. either hide them, or carefully draw up references from artists. and the temptation to buy a painting from Otarik, Harry or Aslan will definitely arise. they come to the hotel on Thursdays and are exhibited in the recreation on the 2nd floor, where the dining room is located.

Do not confuse "Boxwood Grove" and "Pine Grove", they are even at a decent distance, between them is the river. Swell. "Pine Grove", a very ordinary boarding house and there is nothing outside the territory. The best walks are in New Athos, where the nature of the Caucasus and many historical monuments are there! I no longer have a foot in Pitsunda! And I love Abkhazia!

With the passage of customs, you can get there for 3-4-5 hours, it is best to pass early in the morning. Stock up on water and an umbrella from the sun, because. you can't get out of the queue. In "Odnoklassniki" look for the group "Rest in Abkhazia", there are a lot of answers to your questions.

In Pine Grove, the beach is better than in Samshitova, because a mountain river flows into Samshitka, which brings mud, and the water is cold. My friends rested there, they didn’t like it, despite the fact that the hotel seems respectable in appearance, but they go to Pine Grove every year and live there for a month.

never got in line at customs. we passed it, on the contrary, in the evening - about 16-17 hours

to be honest, I almost didn’t go to the sea in boxwood - on the territory of the hotel there is an excellent open-air pool with sea water and a depth in which it’s not scary to leave a child. but empirically revealed that until 12-13 hours the water in the sea is excellent (warm), and then something happens there with the course, and it gets colder. there was no mud even during the storm (in May)

In Pitsunda, in principle, the coldest water in all of Abkhazia. the river Bzyb flows into the sea, which flows out of Lake Ritsa, respectively, flows from the glaciers of the peaks of the Caucasus Range. And after the rains, it carries with it the whole village into the sea, it's dirty!

I asked about the boarding house "Pine Grove"! And not about Boxwood Grove, these are two different boarding houses! Thank you so much for the comments, if anyone else has anything to write I'm always happy to read and learn something new!!!

It is not true that Pitsunda has the coldest sea. We were both in Pitsunda and Gagra, at the same time (mid-July), I liked the sea more in Pitsunda in its purity and warmth. Yes, and we must not forget that Pitsunda is it is a cape with its own microclimate, very favorable for health.

I took a folding bike with me on vacation and rode it to Pitsunda and Gagra. If there is nothing to take with you or laziness, then there is a bicycle rental on the spot, last year it seemed to be 100 rubles per hour. But you can bargain, especially if you take for a long time. When you take it, you need to carefully look at the bike for "eights" and similar things. And it’s very convenient, you don’t depend on anyone and arrange excursions for yourself.
