1. Numbers. We had a standard double room in a 9-storey building on the 6th floor with a sea view. We booked 4 months in advance, we wanted a cottage on the beach, everything was already taken. Then they realized that, fortunately, because. it is more convenient for families with children.
The room is renovated, clean, bright, comfortable. Air conditioning, refrigerators, TV and all plumbing worked flawlessly.
2. Nutrition. I was very afraid of getting poisoned (I read reviews about reusing food leftovers), I took a bunch of pills. But all the food looked fresh and we felt great too.
The menu is quite varied, on weekends - wine and live music. Fruits - 1 kind (mostly apples or plums, once there were bananas), there are few pastries, but it's not scary. The breakfasts are very varied. This is not accepted abroad - there were also dairy products, 4 types of sausages, ham, cheese, salads; from hot - scrambled eggs, sausages, sausages, meatballs, cutlets, cereals, pancakes, honey, jams. Drinks - juices, compotes, kefir, tea, coffee, cocoa.
3. Beach.
This is the best. The air is just a fairy tale! Birds sing, frogs croak, the surf makes noise, bugs fly right into the room... through the balcony - so don't turn on the light when the balcony is open in the evening (or you'll have to arrange "beetle hunting" entertainment before going to bed). There are a lot of plants, everything is very well-groomed, it's nice to see.
Cafe "Apatskha" - once bought khachapur (200 rubles - big as pizza) - very tasty.
Bar at 9th floor building - they bought coffee (50 rubles), went out with a cup right there on the street, drank on a bench, grace...
Bar on the beach. Nice bar open from early morning until late.
Playground - swings, carousel, trampoline (I also wanted to jump, but during the day the children are uncomfortable, and at night the driver slept there).
The pool - the water is unexpectedly warm (it was usually the other way around abroad), the depth is about 160 cm. In the background - palm trees... photos with the pool are exotic, reminiscent of Thailand.
Before 4th floor glorious benches with a body, half of which are suspended on chains in the form of a swing. Very comfortable and cozy to sit in the evening.
6. Entertainment.
I saw the animators. Recognized by yellow T-shirts with the inscription "Pine Grove". There were water aerobics, and yoga stretching, and a fire show and something else . . but for some reason I didn’t get anywhere. The time is not very convenient - we either rested or went on excursions.
By the way, I really liked the organization of group excursions from the hotel - we went to Ritsa (750 rubles) and New Athos (950 rubles). The guide - Irina - is very competent, the driver is good, the transport is convenient. Everything is organized competently, excursions end before lunch.
So. . . the boarding house is very worthy. I would love to go there again... many, many times!
Nutrition. It really looks like eating somewhere in the canteen of the middle hand of some kind of management. If you like goulash meat, Stroganoff liver, meat rolls and meatballs, you won't go hungry. In the morning, a big plus is very tasty cottage cheese and sour cream (they actually only had breakfast), they practically didn’t eat soups (I can’t say anything about them) - it was really tasty from what I ate: chicken with potatoes, liver with rice, liver pate, eggplant with greens , vegetable caviar. The rest can be eaten, but without taste joys. From drinks: black and green tea, coffee, various compotes / fruit drinks, cold water, mineral water and lemonade for lunch. Wine was served a couple of times (maybe more often, but we didn’t always go). For 3 days the child picked something on the plate, but practically did not eat, they made porridge for him in the room, bought curds and kefir, barneys and juice (at the bar), then they began to order something for dinner at a local national restaurant and then warm up the leftovers for dinner (I recommend very tasty and cheap khinkali, excellent khachapuri, homemade fried potatoes, good kebabs), but the children generally didn’t eat local food at all (it certainly doesn’t look like homemade, but it will do to feed my husband)))))
Beach. As you enter sand, then pebbles. It is unrealistic to enter the water without slippers (very painful), the exit is steep, if a storm can immediately drag you deeper. Of all the days that the sea was calm, there were 3 days, the rest with waves. On the beach for rent sun loungers and umbrellas (20 and 10 rubles, respectively), it is better to take them from 8.30 to 9.30, otherwise it may not be enough. There are no beach towels.
Weather. Very comfortable weather, only one day was semi-cloudy, the rest is clear, with a pleasant light breeze, the sea is very warm.
Pools. 2 swimming pools - adult and children, visited both. Normal clean, warm. The jacuzzi is plastic, warm, you can set it up yourself (you can triple the strong enough pressure).
The area is very green, walking is a pleasure. There is a playground (3 swings and something else), but so-so. You can buy on the territory: newspapers, magazines, books, something cosmetic and hygienic, some medicines. In the bars, ice cream, soft drinks and alcoholic drinks, and for moderate money (the prices are - good coffee 50r, glaze 50r, mineral water in glass 0.5 40r).
Service. There is a hairdresser, she is also a manicure / pedicure master (and pedicure in her concept is the shape and color of toenails, manicure + this miracle pedicure 700r! ). First-aid post (saw, was not). Bicycle rental (popular, we took a children's bike for our son), ping-pong, checkers. In the evening, an animation program for children, later for adults something like dancing in nature))
How to leave. Taxi Pitsunda and back 400 rubles, also Gagra 500 rubles. There are collective bus trips for 80 rubles but at inconvenient times (9 and 11 am). There is nothing to do in Pitsunda, so if you are just curious and see the local temple, in Gagra there is a larger selection of fruits and souvenirs and prices are much lower (I was offered to buy the same thing for 1000 and 600 rubles, a decent difference). Gagra is also nothing special, a lot of people and garbage, the beach is small and dirty.
We did not go on excursions. We walked on foot to the river and back along the beach, along the alleys from the boarding house towards the highway. My husband has been on a jet ski a few times.
The audience is educated, decent people, many children, everyone goes to bed early and gets up early.
The general impression is that we want to come again next year and take 1-2 more families with children for company. I have previously been to many places (Turkey, Egypt, Croatia, Spain, etc. ) for a change, it’s not even bad - the price of a 2-room suite and a flight for three in August (price peak) was 73tr for us (from Moscow).
The biggest disadvantages are boring food and painful legs when swimming!
I liked everything very much. Many thanks to all the staff of the guesthouse for a wonderful holiday.
1) Meals - a buffet (although it was a little ashamed of the vacationers: I won’t eat it myself, but I’ll take a bite, if only others don’t get it). But all the same, they were fed as if for slaughter.
- Breakfast: a couple of cereals, pancakes, cottage cheese casserole, scrambled eggs / scrambled eggs, sausages, salads (two or three), cottage cheese, sour cream, muesli, oatmeal, yogurt, coffee, tea, milk... ;
Lunch: a couple of soups, a couple of side dishes (boiled potatoes, pasta, buckwheat . . ), three meat dishes (unfortunately they don’t like to cook fish - it was only once, but tasty... ), fruits (one kind is usually bananas, apples, melon, peaches. . . ), tea, soda, mineral water, compote;
Dinner: chicken broth, croutons, a couple of side dishes, three types of meat, a sea of u200bu200bsalads and 1 cake per brother, tea, lemon.
We understood the peculiarities of the buffet food when on the last day we came exactly to the beginning of the meal, it turns out there was a SUCH choice...
2) The sea is an almost endless beach, clear water. SUPER!! ! COOL!! ! Cottage 50 meters!! ! Bathing in the morning, afternoon and night! BUT, get ready, lovers of warm water (this, by the way, is the most significant minus of the pine tree): the Bzyb River does its job, the water in the sea after the rains is a little unclear, it is very important in which direction the wind blows - ice water drives either to Boxwood Grove or to Pine Grove (the boxwood was not even given a star because of this). The water was predominantly in layers: warm/cold.
For comparison, we went to the sea to LidZav and Rybzavod, the sea is incomparably warmer... But it all depends on the wind! There were days - there were no waves and the water was fresh milk. So who cares!
Z. Y. This does not mean that the sea in Sosnovka is cold, there are simply places in Abkhazia where the sea is warmer and does not depend on wind / current / waves (I don’t know what is decisive)!
3) Beach. Sun loungers are provided for a fee. There is a bar on the beach, you can drink a cocktail, beer, eat ice cream (of course, for a fee : )) There are no fences on the beach, so the general beach smoothly flows into Kudra beach, and then into Sosnovka beach and rests on Bzyb...
Cleaned up on the beach or not, I find it difficult to say. Did not see. But in general, except for the branches / trees thrown out by the sea to the ground, it’s quite clean... (For comparison, on the sandy beach of the Rybzavod, there is an outright dump, and more than one....)
4) Vacationers. Mostly young couples / mothers with children. Couples aged 40-50 (possibly with children aged 12-15). There are MANY children, various entertainment activities are held for children.
5) House. Everything is clean, tidy. Change of linen, towels every 5-6 days. Three towels per person are issued, but if necessary, you can ask for more. Maid Oksana is very friendly. Cleaning daily, but we periodically refused : )
We will be happy to return again.
Z. Y. Of course, there were people among the vacationers who were spoiled by the fact that in the sosnovka they didn’t fold towels in the shape of a swan, etc. , but in Turkey they folded... But I would like to note that there were few of them... And not everyone goes on vacation just for the towels. . .
First, we ordered a transfer from Russia. No one came for us, they traveled with a taxi driver. But there were no problems with the transfer.
Secondly, on the first day of arrival, the room did not even have a small bar of soap and shampoo, very inconvenient, and the store is only in the village, quite far to spank, it was very unpleasant
Thirdly, in September, a cold river begins to flow there and the sea is therefore quite cool. In a cool autumn, this is rather unpleasant, the child practically did not bathe at all.
Fourthly, getting out of there to Pitsunda is practically only by taxi, simple transport (buses, minibuses) travel as they fill up and only in this way, and on the territory of the whole of Abkhazia.
Fifth, do not forget about insurance, at the border they will not let you into Russia without it and require a double amount (racket)
At sixth. Particularly patriotic (and not very patriotic) there, the judgments of the inhabitants will seem a little strange. Russia must and must help Abkhazia in everything! and are constantly reminded of some kind of blockade of Abkhazia, which the locals even compare with the blockade of Leningrad during the war (according to residents and the media). They apparently died of hunger, overeating on fruits, meat, fish, milk, etc. In short, it hurts a little
Seventh, there are practically no local fruits, everything is imported
And finally, there is a tangerine garden there, but it’s just in a terrible state, cows and horses graze there
