We advise you to start learning: Las Vegas. Read about the Strip there on the Internet, maybe what kind of tickets you book in advance for a performance, such as the Cirque du Soleil.
In Los Angeles, I would advise Universal Studios, book tickets in advance too. Well, and take a walk along Hollywood Boulevard, of course (where without it ...)
If there is enough time, then from L.-A. It would be nice to get to San Diego, the best Zoo in the world.

For "LAS Vegas", thanks, thank God, RIM has already learned, I write through "I", now I will learn LAs Vegas. )) Thanks for the other tips too, I'll definitely use it.))

I'm still learning: Los Angeles or Los Angeles?

A motorcycle is harder to leave than a car. So I'm still for the car. )))
Los Angeles:
- Universal park
- Disneyland (only if with children under 12 years old! adults are bored there)
- walk along the Hollywood Boulevard of the Stars
- beach to choose from: Huntington, Malibu or even in Santa Barbara
- Walk along Rodeo Drive
- take a picture against the background of the famous inscription "Hollywood" on the hill
Las Vegas (trains to the Strip and parking at casino hotels are free)
- in the evening take a walk along the Las Vegas Strip, look at the fountains at the Bellagio, at the volcano at the Mirage, at the show near the Treasure Island (it's all free)
- go on a tour of beautiful hotels (Bellagio, Venetian, Luxor, etc.), ride the slides in the New York-New York and Circus-Circus hotels, take part in extreme high-altitude jumps on the Stratosphere tower
- play in the casino (without fanaticism!)
- take a walk along the beautiful pedestrian Fremont Street in the evening when all the lights are on
- go to the performance of the Cirque du Soleil in one of the hotels - Bellagio or Mirage (you need to book in advance)
In San Diego
- Sea World park
- zoo
- water parks
And DEFINITELY! Trip from Vegas to the Grand Canyon!
I will send you a link to my trip.

Pepper, sorry, did you have any problems with the rights? My husband (he was in the USA on a business trip), having ours, handed over to American ones. It’s a great pleasure to steer there, you just envy the organization of roads.
(but you confused Santa Monica with Santa Barbara;))

Or did they really mean Barbara? It is far away, although, yes, it is beautiful there.

And me, and me a reference! And then when I was there, there were no sensible guides :((

The question is definitely interesting! If you look, I would advise you to make a ring - San Diego - Los Angeles - Las Vegas - Palm Springs. And if you see it, then everyone has their own America, you can’t understand it from the Harley. I have stayed in all these cities several times, and I want to visit more. Each has its own sights, the review of which takes 3-4 days per city. My advice is to read about each city, look at the official site, understand what is interesting for you.

V.A.S., I didn’t confuse Santa Monica with Santa Barbara. I think it's not a sin to get to Santa Barbara. Why far away? With a vehicle - 1 hour journey. And this way is a joy on US roads! ))) Furthermore! It's not a sin to get to San Francisco and get to Crescent City (there would be time left).
There were no rights issues. Behind already three mega-trips across the USA. Ordinary plastic rights are enough to rent a car. Although they say that "just in case" you need to have an additional crust - international rights. I made myself. This crust is issued in the traffic police for an hour and for 1500 rubles.

Wow, it's good there! And our travel allowances received their American ones, perhaps just a requirement of the company.
Why did it seem that Barbara was far away: we moved very slowly along the "one", with all sorts of pleasant stops.
And I absolutely agree that it’s not a sin to get to San Francisco, it just shocked me.
