Other spectacles
I would like to talk about these two places separately as the most vulnerable. The first place is Transcarpathian Museum of Folk Architecture and Life . I had the idea to visit him in person.
And the result still exceeded all our expectations. Well, first of all, it's an open-air museum. Secondly, a compact area (not Pirogovo, of course, no, but everything can be bypassed in one day). Thirdly, the exposition of the museum is 7 wooden estates, 6 houses, wooden church, bell tower, school, smithy, water mill, inn, and 14 thousand more exhibits, such as: household utensils, household items , clothing, household utensils and even a pottery kiln, etc. , etc.
Miracles begin with the purchase of entrance tickets (as of May 2015 - UAH 25 per person).
The box office is located in the exhibition center. And in his hall is a wooden composition "To the groom. Wedding". It looks like it was cut from a single piece of wood, but in reality it is three wooden pieces that are skillfully fitted together. Just look:
Here they have everything ahead:
It is clear that these two have already lived in this world, and she has already seen her "uncle" to everyone. And today he "swayed" somewhere again, you scoundrel:
In the exhibition hall you can admire a giant chocolate Easter egg:
Or on the map of Ukraine from Easter eggs, and the painting of the egg corresponds to the region indicated by it on the "map":
Well, actually the open-air museum:
A group of local girls, discussing what they saw, said the following about one of the local houses: “Oh, what a nice hut! I would live like that! ”(In the sense, oh, what a beautiful house, I would live in this myself).
The church is active, XVIII century. She was transported twice: from her native village to Mukachevo, from Mukachevo to Uzhhorod. Inside are wooden church utensils, ancient icons (and not yet canonical, but painted by "folk" masters, very naive, and some soulful, or something). But the caretaker did not allow to take photos inside: (.
This is what the premises of the "people's" school look like:
In houses from different parts of Transcarpathia - different roofs (view from inside the houses):
In houses with such a roof, the stove was usually heated "in black". The smoke passed through the straw and slowly heated it, drying it. Subsequently, the soot was layered and clogged the holes between the straws. And such a roof could last 50 years.
And here it is - a climb (well, about which in the folk song: "Oh, no light, little moon, and on that climb. Come, come, my dear, to me at least once more! "). The climb was necessary so that livestock walking in the yard could not go beyond it. And the yards were large. It was far to go around (well, to borrow something from a neighbor). That's why they invented a bench across the aisle, on which he stood with one foot - and climbed over the poles easily and simply:
In all houses - the corresponding real utensils:
The obligatory element of a decor is ceramic plates. And their presence on the walls does not depend on the wealth of the owner of the house:
And the interior of a country house:
In general, caretakers - mostly elderly women - are very interesting to talk about each house. For example, one of them told us that the height of doors in poor houses was often deliberately underestimated. In order for everyone who enters the house to "bow" to its owner. After all, this was the only luxury that could be afforded by all humiliated because of their poverty.
And it was very touching that in all the houses on the tables in water lilies live flowers or branches of lilac flowers.
And here it is - quiche, such a thing for storing corn. Harvested. They removed the roof, filled the cobs in such a kind of bunker and covered it. And if necessary, got through the hole at the bottom. Cool?
You know, right? 150 (one hundred and fifty! ) Years!
Skansen is the most popular place for wedding photographers.
And here you can rent an inn building for a wedding buffet:
There are also sheep, chickens, rabbits:
Plants are planted. Trees are blooming. I do not want to go. Despite the rain, cold, wet feet and blue frozen noses, we spent about 4 hours there.
Ticket price: 25 hryvnias. The pleasure received for this money is incomparably greater.
The second extraordinary place is the "Notary's Child Inn" .
CHILDREN = a glass with a capacity of 50 or 100 grams. NOTARY = notary. That is, an approximate translation of the name "One hundred grams from a notary. " Well, this is Transcarpathia, it is clear that any agreement after all the formalities for greater reliability was fastened by a stopper of something strong : ).
I knew about this institution for a long time, and I dreamed of visiting Lviv's Kryivka. Glad that dreams come true. Personally, I liked "Children" much more. Here everything is somehow more sincere, or something. And very funny. You just walk around the yard, click the camera and smile all the time.
The inn is located in the real house of a notary in 1940. Several halls and a covered yard.
The hut is a house in the local dialect, that is, according to the sign, it is a drunken house: )
Of the picturesque paintings that adorn the walls of the "Drunk Hut", others impressed:
In the yard - a monument to beans - as the main food of Transcarpathians:
On the huge bean - the names of the greatest in the history of mankind Beans:
In general, everything is subtle, ironic and completely without vulgarity. The only thing is that most jokes are clear to a person living in Ukraine (not in the sense of language, but as they say, in the conceptual aspect):
Even the inscriptions, sorry, in the toilet are extraordinary. Above men's urinals:
As they say, make your choice, gentlemen: )
And over the ladies' booths also creatively:
Or in the same place (in toilets) like this:
Here is a special gypsy baronometer in the yard:
which is an ordinary long rope, on the sides of which a "scale" with "divisions" and their interpretation (specially translated for non-Ukrainian readers):
- the rope swings (sways, so) - the wind
- rope dry - warm
- rope wet - rain
- no ropes visible - fog
- the rope is hard, like at a wedding - frost!
- the rope has a shadow - the sun
- the rope has no shadow - gloomy night
- the rope doubles - you're fine without the weather
- the rope is swaying (this is the lowest plate, the baronmeter has finally "fallen") - then you are swaying, not the rope.
Well, the "Transcarpathian" Ukrainian language gives a special salt here, plus it should be understood that the word "rope" is masculine: "motUz", and then the sound of some phrases becomes especially spicy.
Fire shield (it's working ! , ie ax-colors - everyone can really use it for its intended purpose, but as everything is decorated in a highly artistic way):
You just can't walk past a souvenir shop:
There we bought the following necessary thing as a gift to a familiar urologist:
Now she hangs in his office on the wall: )
Summary: Both the open-air museum and the Children are must-see objects in Uzhhorod. Both have 10 points on a 10-point scale.
Thank you to everyone who read and watched to the end. The end follows…
