Three days in Kvasy
An interesting and diverse place where you have everything you need for an active holiday. Were from 24 to 26 September. We got to Kvass by train to Rakhiv. We walked around the city a bit, went to the local market, bought a little. We boarded a passing minibus near the market and in 20 minutes we were in the center of Kvasy. They lived in the private sector, the house "Rooms for rent". New, modern house, which is warm, clean, cozy and comfortable. The house is located in the center of the village. The hostess's name is Lesya. Near the house there are shops, a bakery, a restaurant and a brewery.
We spent the first day tasting. The first place of the ball is a local bakery. After tasting hot bread and drinking coffee, we went for a walk around the village ...5 minutes later we got to the local brewery.
TsIPA Brewery. Excellent and varied beer (about 40 varieties, 20 of them I tried).
Of the snacks to beer, I would like to mention smoked snails - super tasty ...Overall 3 in 1: high service, high quality beer and high price (obviously not for locals ... ).
At the beginning of the village we found a route index with the main goals of our trip. To the right across the bridge is a cheese factory. There is also a restaurant-pizzeria, and next to them - a mineral spring, delicious water. We decided to have lunch there. Gathered a variety of cheese and lamb soup: the cheese was medium, but the soup is delicious.
We had dinner at the Gagarin and Bokorash restaurant - a solid establishment! ! ! ! ! Bograch turned out to be very tasty… We also tried snails in a creamy sauce - an interesting taste. And, of course, boiled octopus (smoked trout) - the taste is divine ...We tried a set of 7 alcoholic beverages - every taste for an amateur. The establishment is great, only the account needs to be checked, we tried to cheat several times ...
Day Two : Hike to Mount Bliznytsia, route 27 km.
Beautiful views and solitude with nature are guaranteed! ! ! ! ! We climbed the green route (start 7.00) to Stara (10.30), then across the ridge to the foot of Blyznytsia (12.30) and, after an hour of climbing, we were at the top (13.30). There is a view of Dragobrat and the town of Velyka Blyznytsia on the one hand, and on the other - the view of the town of Petros and the town of Hoverla - IMPRESSIVE! ! ! ! ! The mountain opened up to us for 20 minutes, and then the peaks began to hide in the clouds. After resting for half an hour, we started the descent on the red route and at 18.00 we were again in Kvasy. Well, the other side… Unpleasant, but IMPORTANT - Velyka Blyznytsia is closed for travel through a car that fell into the abyss (flew 300 m down) ...In some places it is dangerous to go there - very steep and slippery + precipice ... p >>
And another tragic place: 600 meters from the top there is a memorial plaque in memory of 4 dead Koralov's group (Ukrainian analogue of Dyatlov's group).
Only the victims are less and the circumstances are completely different.
From what we learned about the tragedy: the main coincidence that led to the tragedy - late on the route, was frost. When it snowed heavily, visibility deteriorated, and when you go up, you can't see the top, it's hard to navigate, there are no bushes, no trees, and mountains with the name "Twin" there as many as 3. When the boys started looking for a hut for shelter, the band lost orientation and divided, it got dark ...As a result, those who walked towards the top - took the mountain, and the other 5 were more fortunate, they survived.
I want to say more about water ...Due to the dry summer on the green route, we did not meet any sources. And only when descending the red route, reaching the edge of the forest where the farm is located, there was a spring with water.
Day three: Hike to Mount Sheshul, route length 29 km.
The route on the way to Petros and Hoverla is very picturesque, beautiful and interesting. Start at 7.30.
Around the bird, flowers, water is found along the entire route. We reached the Shumneska meadow (12.00) and turned right. There is a path on Sheshula between bushes and branches. After 800 m, we reached the top, which overlooks the entire Montenegrin ridge, which we were able to enjoy only when climbing, because upstairs we were waiting for a surprise ...Climbing the mountain took us 30 minutes. We made our way through the bushes, it started to rain. And when we got out of them, we saw a "cool" picture - a cyclone with a wall of rain rushing at us. Within a minute we buried all the gadgets, put on our raincoats and began to feel all the power of nature…
Heavy rain began, it got very cold. The temperature dropped from +15 to +3.
I had to squat, hiding in a raincoat because of the slanting rain that fell on my pants, and the water flowed into my sneakers ...The feeling is not pleasant ...As a result, we were stuck on the mountain for 25 minutes ...
Emotions, of course, are indescribable: you sit in heaven, you want to go down to the holy land, and nature does not let… Here we felt when we do not see landmarks, visibility of not more than 3 m. Here we needed boots and mittens taken just in case. It is good that at the bottom of the jumper there is a campsite where you can hide. There we changed clothes, had a snack and started the descent. From the bridge to the cheese factory in Kvass we went down in 3 hours and 30 minutes. It rained heavily again, and then the first snow fell at night ...
Our adventures were a complete success: one day we were able to sunbathe, and the next we froze - it's the mountains ...Have a nice holiday! ! !
