Good afternoon! We love the South Coast very much and try to relax in a new place every year, so I will share my experience a little. With a 2 year old child (in my opinion) it is better to go to a sanatorium than to a hotel. For this purpose, it seems to me that the sanatorium Ukraine should be suitable - good, clean rooms, there is always medical staff, there are many entertainment programs for children, a private beach, a large park, there are playgrounds and buffet food in the Ukrainian style, you choose the dishes yourself, but that's all dietary. As for the all-inclusive hotels, they are much more expensive than this resort and do not have such a park, we were at the 1001 Nights hotel, we liked everything - the rooms, food, the pool, but there is no park for children, no playgrounds and it’s far to go to the sea, transported by minibus, but it is not very convenient. Many recommend Dimerdzhi (but the reviews are very different, you can read it if you want) and Ai-Todor South for families with children. In Ai-Todor, many people like entertainment for children and service, but we personally have not been there yet, so I can’t say for sure. My recommendation is sanatorium Ukraine.
If there are questions, I will be happy to answer. Tatyana

Look at the sanatorium "Pine Grove". If the budget fits, then a very good option.
аватар AlexWizard
Ukraine is far from the sea
аватар Tanunik
Not true, it takes 5-7 minutes to walk to the sea through a beautiful park, besides there is an elevator and the descent to the beach will take 2-3 minutes. And about the Pine Grove, many complained last year about the construction on the hotel, which spoiled the rest a little.
аватар AlexWizard
Oh, is there an elevator already? Through the highway I didn't know, sorry.
аватар Tanunik
There is no highway, the sanatorium Ukraine is located directly on the shore - this is the first line. Maybe you made a mistake and you mean another sanatorium?
аватар AlexWizard
Hmm. Checked - Alupkinskoe, 15. Sorry, confused.
But dozens of times I passed by ... Old age is not a joy ((

Tanunik can you tell me which case is better in "Ukraine", thanks)

I also rested in the sanatorium "Ukraine" in building 3 - it's better not to choose it, to the dining room - along a steep descent, to the sea - a lot of steps and very far from the elevator. I didn’t like the second building, in which the masseurs (he is closest to the pool), is very old with terribly creaking floors. Only the main building remains (it’s convenient that there is also a dining room and many doctors), but it’s better to take only the south side, cars drive up to the facade of the north side, people gather in front of the entrance, smells come from the dining room. And there is another 4 building right on the shore the sea, it turns out to be located close to the sea, but far from the dining room and all the infrastructure, and the elevator runs for some limited time by the clock. Personally, I really liked the south side of the main building.

I think you asked about all-inclusive hotels. So, Ukraine is definitely not from this opera. And not the best value for money.

Of course, everyone has their own idea of u200bu200brest, and of course the Ukraine sanatorium is not the same as Turkey, but for those who love the Crimea and go to improve their health, and even more so with a small child, Ukraine is not at all bad. We rested in Yalta at the Rotonda hotel (apartments), the 1001 night hotel (luxury) in Miskhor, the Parus sanatorium (junior suite), the Ukraine sanatorium (1 building, superior room), the Kichkine hotel, in short, there is something to compare with. I do not insist that Ukraine is the best, but the price-quality ratio is quite consistent. I already wrote that it all depends on your wishes and "claims" to rest. Why I recommend Ukraine: the presence of its own beach, proximity to the sea, a very large and well-groomed territory, quite comfortable rooms, constantly honey. staff, good transportation. As for food, we were 12 days old and, in principle, we liked everything (but I’ll say right away that we don’t particularly care for food, because. we go to rest, and not to look for flaws). What they fed: soups - pretty decent, a choice of 3 types or 2 and milk, salads - various vegetables, beets, cabbage, seaweed, herring, Russian salad, snacks - meat and cheese cuts, butter, sour cream.

The second is stewed, boiled potatoes, cereals and pasta, cabbage rolls, meatballs, casseroles, scrambled eggs, sausages, stewed or steamed fish, steamed cutlets, pilaf, stewed liver, chicken pieces and fillets. Every day, pies or buns, pancakes are fried in front of you (condensed milk, honey, take your own jam), compote, hibiscus, coffee, milk, tea. We were not hungry, but we had to stand in line for a bit (there is one queue for all the dishes, in order of priority you put yourself whatever you want), but there is a minus - we were in the sanatorium in September, and in the season, of course, there may be a longer queue.
Housing - definitely 1. Better 4th floor and south (good sea view and not a bad repair). In our room: a large bed, 2 bedside tables, a wardrobe, a chest of drawers, a TV, a balcony (they are small on the 4th floor, but the view is super). The bath is spacious (shower with massage shower), but we had a superior room, but we went to visit the standard room on the 3rd floor and it was also quite decent. Very good building 4 (it is rented and does not belong to the sanatorium) they said that this year they wanted to open a separate dining room for building 4.
аватар Tanunik
Building 4 has a private beach, and the rest of the buildings go to the beach of the resort (they are located across the pier from each other). The elevator used to work from 8 am to 1 pm, and then from 4 pm to 7 pm. The sanatorium has a website (appeared this year) and you can check the schedule there. The management of the sanatorium changed 2 years ago and the sanatorium began to improve rapidly. But in any case, the decision is up to you. I have already recommended Dimerdzhi and Ai-Todor-south for families with children, but we have not been there, so my knowledge is limited to reviews. If you are interested in places in the Crimea where we rested (I listed them before), I will answer with pleasure, I have a photo of the Ukraine sanatorium (we were there in September 2011) I can send them to you.

Tatyana, tell me, please, where is it better, if without a child and you don’t need treatment, in Ukraine, Kichkine or Parus? I rested only in Ukraine, everyone scolds her, although I liked it - there is nothing to compare with. But for some reason, many reviews praise the Sail, and especially those with small children recommend Ai-Petri. And what can you say about the hotel Rubikon, which is on the territory of Ukraine? At the time, I didn't even look at him. And next to it there is a hotel 999 - the prices seem to be sane.
аватар Tanunik
In general, I really love the South Coast, I don’t make any special claims to food, but my own beach and a comfortable room are a must, and it is desirable to have a park (we like to walk late at night). Therefore, all the places where we were approximately similar, but somewhere one is better, somewhere else. At 1001 nights and Kichkine, food is better, in Ukraine and Parus there is a convenient descent to the sea (there is an elevator) and good parks. The rooms are good everywhere (but we do not rest in the standards, but choose junior suites and superior rooms). Probably, Parus is closer to me, although if there was an elevator in Kichkine, I would choose Kichkine. We had a panoramic suite on the 4th floor in Kichkine and I got so much positive from the view from the balcony (we had 3 balconies), besides, in Kichkine the pools are without bleach, but very clean (even squirrels drink water), the service is very high level, the quality of linen and mini perfumery is also super (in Ukraine there are some problems with this). But if we take the price-quality ratio, then I am for Ukraine. We were also interested in the Rubicon, but we did not like the lack of a park and the food in the cafe. As an option, there is also Kurchatov's dacha (the price is acceptable and the quality seems to be nothing).
Ask if anything.

Tanunik, I completely agree with you regarding the review of Kichkin, except for one "but" - the water in the pool (at least with fresh water near the body which) is still chlorinated. We lived on the 1st floor just opposite the pool. We always slept with an open balcony and did not feel the smell, so we decided to swim one evening around 10 pm. We climbed in, and there near the stairs (2 out of 3) - bleach, probably in bags. So hygiene is maintained.
аватар Tanunik
I have absolutely no doubt that the Kichkine pools have clean water, but I think that there are more modern cleaning methods. If you are interested, look at my albums in the account, there is a photo "squirrel drinking water from the pool" that's why I think that the water is not chlorinated.

Tatyana, thank you very much for the detailed answer. And what park in Kichkine? I'm just a big fan of parks too. For me, this is even more priority than the number itself.
аватар Tanunik
The park in Kichkine is small (you can get around in 20 minutes), but clean and beautiful, all the plantings are signed and there are many beautiful flowers. Although if you like parks, then it seems to me that the sanatorium Parus or the sanatorium Ukraine is the best option, there are large parks and there is where to take a walk. Very nice park in Dulber. I would be glad if I can help, I myself am now asking everyone for advice, though on the topic of holidays in Sri Lanka.
