The wallpaper fell off in the room (it hung right above the front door), and the doors didn’t close well in the shower and there was always water in the bathroom. Well, we, not picky people, laughed at this and that’s it. The most memorable thing in Karasan is the air, nature... and the rumble of crickets (actually a hum). The air is so humid that things didn’t dry out for a long time even in the sun. The beauty is indescribable !!! ! A beach with a long promenade, on which there are many cafes and all kinds of eateries. embankment of the boarding house Pribrezhny) and gloomy. On the beach, a wooden trestle bed is fixed behind you and then, if there are free places... if not, you need to wait for the vacationers to leave... We were lucky on the third day already with our sunbeds. Strangers were driven from their places ))) The pebbles are large, but there is enough space on the beach for everyone, even on weekends. The same problem is in the dining room - there are not enough places - I had to come 40 minutes later than others (((Three meals a day ordinary canteen - fed with apples - did not know what to do with them - sour ones. and once we didn’t get poisoned and didn’t even get better during the rest))) The menu is “custom”, but don’t expect any frills. (Yes, I forgot to write, they clean the room every day except Sunday). There are many beautiful plants on the boarding house, like and watered regularly, but still the same feeling of unkemptness and abandonment. The same thing with the Raevsky Palace. Is it really difficult to put this historical value in order. They don’t cherish or appreciate anything... sad...
Minuses. 1. The food is disgusting. Soviet cuisine during the years of stagnation. No vegetables, no fruits, no normal meat. The only good thing is cheesecakes.
2. Service - the same as the kitchen, but without syrniki.
3. The beach is large-pebble or white-cobblestone, because at the slightest storm, it washes away all the small pebbles, and they don’t fill up with new ones.
We were a family of 2 adults and 2 children ages 16 and 3.
Traveled on a trade union ticket - 212 UAH per person
from 14.06. 2009 to 24.06. 2009
They didn’t take a ticket for the youngest child, so I had to pay extra 30 UAH per day on the spot.
There are big problems with transport, the sanatorium is located 3 kilometers down the serpentine from the highway, but does not have its own transport. Then 10 minutes down the serpentine in the park of the sanatorium "Utes" and 10 minutes along the embankment. The first impression when you get to the embankment is breathtaking, the view is amazing.
We lived in a 3-bed room in the 1st building. A typical Soviet room. From the furniture: a wardrobe, a coffee table, a TV (cable TV - 10 Russian channels - nothing to watch), a refrigerator, and 3 beds, respectively. There is a washbasin in the room. The toilet and shower are shared on the floor. There was hot water every day, but the truth is by the hour .
The dining room is purely Soviet, but we liked it, it’s really a bit far to climb, there are a lot of steps, but it seems to be good for health on the one hand.
Salt cave, aromatherapy, inhalation, KUF are included in the price of the tour. The child was given a massage, but the payment is separate.
There are tents, cafes, etc. on the embankment. I was surprised that there is nowhere to buy cigarettes. The nearest place is "Cliff" or go to the village of Partenit - 20 minutes up the hill. This also applies to strong alcohol.
We went to the Utes sanatorium and Partenit to have fun - everything is there, it would be more money, as well as a disco, and performances for children, and billiards for adults, big and small tennis. Every evening, the children and I went to the embankment, and from mooring pleasure boats in any direction.
In the sanatorium, bus excursions at your request to anywhere in the Crimea, but if you go by yourself, it is exactly 70% cheaper. We went on foot to the Partenit Dolphinarium (min. 35-40). , a water park in Alusht - 115 UAH (from 12-00 to 17-00). By the way, if you go on your own, they don’t give dry rations.
Summary: For the money we paid, we had a very good vacation, and if it were not for the rule - do not go to the same place two in a row, then we would definitely come again.
P. S. Friends with whom we rested in Karasan were also very pleased. Again, they also rested on a trade union ticket -10% of the cost.
I don’t know if I paid full price, maybe I would be more picky too
