I go to the Crimea, mostly in June and September. It's not so hot, and there are an order of magnitude fewer people. I agree with the previous author, at the beginning of September the weather is not stable, so it is better to go after the 10th.
I travel to Western Crimea, Chernomorskoe, Olenevka. There is something to do, diving, windsurfing, kiting. Prices are lower than on the South Coast and the sea is cleaner.

I only go to Crimea in September - usually from September 15th to October 4th. I have a rest in Livadia (20 minutes walk from Yalta along the embankment). Sea 22-23 degrees. Even the kids swim. There are few people at this time. The sun is soft but hot: 28-29 degrees. I do not advise you to go at the beginning of September, because the weather is rainy until the 10th. And the most important thing for gourmets at this time of the year is FIGS! I wish you a great vacation!

Seven years in a row we rested only in September in Gurzuf, it’s great, but the situation is dumb with the weather - you may not be lucky. with the beach it can be a bummer for a long time. And also a purely personal observation - acclimatization is easier for me in the summer, after a September holiday in the Crimea I always caught a cold upon arrival.
