In July we went to Koktebel. Needless to say, the town itself is a garbage dump, the beach and the sea -fuuu: I have never swum. And the hotel is good. The pool is quite decent; the staff is unexpectedly responsive and friendly; number is normal. Recommend.

We swam and sunbathed on the territory of the hotel: the pool, as reported by the staff of this institution with sea water, purified and without bleach, is actually cold and still chlorinated !!! ! Daily cleaning and change of towels, change of linen every 3 days. Fed in a restaurant delicious: buffet breakfast, dinner to choose from (two options). At first we lived on the first floor in room 104, a little cramped, but cozy. After 4 days, we were moved to corner 101 (104 was booked), more spacious, but there was a sewer smell in it. We reported this to the administrator, a plumber came, looked like, said - let's think.......The smell did not disappear !!!!!! ! On the website of the hotel its advantages are greatly exaggerated !!! ! So........ in general, the hotel is not bad! But we are unlikely to return to the Crimea, the money spent is not worth the quality and conditions offered here for relaxation !!! ! (I'm not only talking about the hotel)

A good pool with sea water is only chlorinated and the view is unfinished. The only thing that spoiled the rest was a very dirty, smelly sea (the locals drain the sewage directly into the sea without hiding it, and you can see it if you walk along the embankment and look closely). Dipped in the sea got E. coli and is free. We all got sick despite the fact that we did not buy anything from local sellers. The only way out is to go swimming in a quiet bay - 7 km from the city for whom this is the way out. Despite the good hotel, we will not return to Koktebel again and we will advise everyone not to do this.

It is possible that it will be tastier on order, but the cook did not try at all, or it was specially done to order additionally.
We crossed the road to the Favorite Hotel - and there is a paradise and a well-groomed territory, and the rooms are more spacious and the prices are much lower.
You know, it happens when you pay a lot of money - and it's not a pity, you understand that it is justified - the high prices in Galleon are unjustified! I wanted to get out of there as soon as possible.

The prices for the rooms shocked me after I found out about the prices in other hotels. I liked the service and the staff. Always friendly and helpful in all matters. The food was good too. We didn't leave hungry. Everything is good. But. . . In Koktebel, almost everywhere it constantly stinks of sewage. The water in the sea is just a real dump. All sewerage along the coast flows from cafes directly into the sea. There, through one, both adults and children get sick with an intestinal infection, which does not decorate the vacation. Our child was poisoned already on the second day, they were treated for a week. And what kind of hospital is there, terrible unsanitary conditions, they gave the child an enema, they also ripped off money from us without hesitation. After the first swim in the sea, I lost the desire to climb into such water at all. As a result, we did not climb out of the pool near the hotel (thank God that he was there) or went to Golden Sands near Feodosia. I have nothing against the hotel. But at the expense of holidays in Koktebel - it's a nightmare. Too bad this hotel is in the wrong place.

For some reason, no one wrote about the construction site next to the hotel, because of which the sea is now almost invisible, the circular saw squeals all day long, dust flies right into the cozy courtyard of the Galleon, on vacationers by the pool. The rooms are really cozy, there are no complaints about cleaning, the food in the restaurant is delicious. But, the waitress Natalya works there, she didn’t want to go to dinner on her shift, she is rude, snaps, and generally behaves like a barmaid. You can’t beg for an extra fork, you have to eat alone, and meat and potatoes and dessert. She was a fly in the ointment in the galleon's honey barrel, and simply ruined our holiday. We won't go there again.
