It so happened that I travel more in Europe. But in my native Crimea, where I live, I never had a chance to rest. It is to relax, and not just travel when guests arrive and you need to go with them to show the beauties of Crimea : ) And then a lucky ticket fell to my lot - I was invited to the festival "Our Jazz", which was held in Koktebel on August 2-3.

It so happened that I travel more in Europe. But in my native Crimea, where I live, I never had a chance to rest. It is to relax, and not just travel when guests arrive and you need to go with them to show the beauties of Crimea : )
And then a lucky ticket fell to my lot - I was invited to the festival "Our Jazz", which was held in Koktebel on August 2-3.2014.
When we found out exactly where this festival would be held, there was no doubt about where we would stay: only in the cottage village "DIM"! Its location is incomparable to others. Right behind the hotel's fence is a beach with a stage. And on the territory of the cottage village there is a swimming pool with cafe tables and a screen where a video of everything that happens on the stage is projected. In a word, the best comfort can not be imagined!
That is why we chose this hotel. And never regretted it! Excellent conditions for rest and relaxation. I will say that in my opinion the prices in the cafe are a bit....inadequate, or something. And it's great that the hotel rooms have conditions where you can cook your own food. It is much cheaper to buy fresh products in the market or in the store (you still have to go there, at least for wine, mineral water, cognac, etc. ), and cook something for a light dinner or breakfast in the kitchen. Fortunately, the room has everything for this - an electric stove, a kettle, a microwave, a set of necessary utensils and even a water filter! In a word, the hosts, in the person of the hospitable Ludwiga Mikhailovna, prudently made sure that the guests had as few household worries as possible. This allowed us to fully enjoy the rest itself and forget about the usual household kitchen chores.
And how pleasant it is in the evening, when the sun is already setting and the heat subsides, to sit comfortably in armchairs at a table on the balcony and indulge in relaxation, sipping light white Crimean wine!
I also want to note that on the territory of the cottage village there is free guarded parking. So, this summer there were probably no less cars than last year! And - from different cities and countries!
I will also mention that the hotel is conveniently located - the embankment immediately begins, not far from the water park, the dolphinarium (in which I was for the first time and it made an indelible positive impression! But this story of mine is not about him). And there are also shops and markets nearby, where they sell fresh vegetables and fruits.
And finally, I will share my delight from the extraordinary view from the balcony of the room! It's just a fairy tale! On both sides of the mountain. In the morning the sun illuminates one side, in the evening - the other. And the balcony is so cozy and comfortable that you don’t want to leave it : )
Perhaps it is superfluous to say that the room has all the necessary amenities - a comfortable bed, a shower with hot water, satellite TV, and even a washing machine.
I am very satisfied with the rest, and the hotel, and the hostess, and Koktebel!
Recomend for everybody!

Already been in this cottage village last year and even wrote a review. And this year I find out that the festival "Our Jazz" will take place in Koktebel on August 2-3. And it will take place right on the beach, near Jung's hill. And this is through the fence from the territory of the cottage village! Of course, I could not miss such an opportunity.

And it will take place right on the beach, near Jung's hill. And this is through the fence from the territory of the cottage village!
Of course, I could not miss such an opportunity. After all, not every day there is an opportunity to listen to the masters of jazz art, such as, for example, Anatoly Kroll or Daniil Kramer. Yes, and for free!
And here the location of the cottage complex plays a decisive role in choosing where to stay. Just incredible luck during the festival to live in the rooms of this hotel! Everything seems to be specially created for this: there is a swimming pool on the territory. And next to it - cozy tables. And they are served by waiters from the cafe, which is located right there, near the pool.
Can you imagine the impressions and emotions? ! You sit comfortably at a table, near the pool, sip light white wine and in the rays of sunset, jazz plays to the sound of the surf! Yes, not just jazz, but some of the best jazzmen in the world! At the same time, a video signal is broadcast on the screen near the pool and everything is perfectly visible. Well, the sound - I already said - the stage is only a couple of tens of meters away. So the conditions are the most comfortable you can imagine.
And again - after the concert, you don’t have to trudge somewhere in the night village. Tired, a little tipsy, worn out by the summer breeze and grape gifts of the Crimean peninsula : ) Just take a few steps and you are already in the room. You don't have to go anywhere if you don't want to. You can just put a cozy chair on the balcony of the room - and listen. Moreover, you can open the balcony door, lie down on the sofa in your room and listen to the jazz that sounds on the stage on the beach.
I have never come across anything better!
Therefore, friends, if you plan to visit Koktebel during any events, concerts, etc. events - you don't even have to look for any other options! You simply will not find a better place for living, recreation and relaxation than the cottage village "DIM"!
There were about 7.000 people near the stage these days - this is what journalists and organizers say. And I’ll add on my own that there were a lot of people on the embankment at that time. And there were no less cars in the free guarded parking on the territory of the hotel than last year. So the season is in full swing and don't be afraid of any horror stories - come here, as always, it's cool!
I am writing this review just having arrived home, while the memories of the past weekend vacation are still fresh.
It's great that I live in the Crimea and that there is an opportunity to go to Koktebel for the weekend, where the DIM cottage village hospitably opens its doors.
P. S. There is still no WI-FI in the rooms. And to be honest, I didn’t even have time to remember him, our life was so eventful these days! Here it is - a real vacation, not an addiction to the Internet! There is always something to do and have fun!
Have a good rest and positive unforgettable emotions!

Hello dear readers!
I convey warm sunny and sea greetings to all of you from the Crimea, from Koktebel!
During my stay here I wanted to write my review. And here is the main idea I want to share first of all: To win - you need to play! So, take part in the giveaway!
It was this trip to Koktebel, to the private cottage village "DIM" that I won!
The fact is that in a group on a social network there was a draw - a trip to Koktebel. For free! There were many who wanted to. But I won! It was an unforgettable feeling: the joy of an unexpected spontaneous gift, the anticipation of a holiday of body and soul. And the most beautiful thing is when you yourself can choose any room to relax! (Namely, this opportunity was provided to me by the co-owner of the rooms in this village - Ludwig Mikhailovna).
The Provence room is simply superb! Made in the author's design style. As soon as I saw his photo on the site, I fell in love with him. I love old handmade furniture. Everything is so beautiful and thoughtfully designed!
Moreover, I could go not alone, but together! Which, of course, I enjoyed!
When my friend and I arrived at the cottage village, we were warmly welcomed by the hostess. And in the room a pleasant surprise awaited us, which we certainly did not expect - chilled champagne and chocolates on the table! It was such a pleasant and touching sign of attention!
Perhaps someone will say that these are trifles, but such pleasant trifles and surprises form the impression about hotel owners and their attitude towards customers . .
The room has everything you need for a comfortable stay: air conditioning, hot water, refrigerator, washing machine, as well as various kitchen utensils and satellite TV. And on the territory (which, by the way, is guarded! ) There is a swimming pool with a gorgeous view of the sea and mountains, and there is a cinema right by the pool.
The rooms themselves are located on the first line by the sea. If you like a comfortable and quality vacation, then you need to go here!
I will not list all the entertainment in Koktebel, but be sure to sit in a teahouse on the embankment, try lagman, lamb shish kebab and oriental sweets. If you are interested in excursions, then be sure to visit the Marble Caves, go on an excursion to the mountains to Kara-Dag, Karaul Abu, to the New World to the Golitsyn trail, Lisya Bay, Sunny Valley, Mount Chameleon - can I list for a long time? There are many things to see in this region of Crimea! .
And the prices pleasantly surprised me - they are normal, sane. Of course, there are always downsides. Cons, yes, there may have been some. But they are so insignificant that we simply did not pay attention to them. I just really love Koktebel!
Yes, it was a little scary to go to Crimea because of the situation in the country. But in fact, it turned out that everything is fine, that the Crimeans are still cordial and hospitable and happy to communicate with you.
There were few tourists. But we calmly rested on the sea, and there was no flea market on the beach. So it's hard to say whether it's negative or not. More plus. The downside is that there is no internet in the room. I got used to the fact that we have the Internet on every corner in any cafe and for free. One more thing: in the evening there are a lot of mosquitoes on the sea, and it turned out that lavender oil saves from them: just rub 5 drops - and you are saved.
Therefore, my recommendation - if you hesitate to go or not, then - go! Koktebel is the place where to relax at least once - it is simply necessary for everyone! Well, comfortable rooms in the cottage village will make your stay comfortable and enjoyable!
Come to Koktebel!
With love and gratitude,
Alena Koshevaya-Makarova

Not a fan of writing reviews, but in this case I want to share my impressions of staying in this cottage village, because. There are a lot of scary stories about Crimea on the Internet now.
So, the biggest inconvenience is, of course, how to get there.
However, for those who know how to search for information on Google, it is easier than for others. On the website page of this cottage village there is detailed information on the most comfortable way to get there. This is what helped me choose the best option and I did not have to queue at the crossing (about 10-12 hours). Buses run without a queue.
Well, about the hotel itself and its rooms.
I read the previous review and compared with what it was.
There are both improvements and disadvantages.
The toilet paper mentioned in the previous review is now white and soft : ) This suggests that the owners are listening to the reviews.
Apparently. I was the first this season, because when I turned on the fuses on the electrical panel and opened the water taps on the riser. However, the room was all prepared, clean and tidy.
The room has everything you need to cook something for yourself. This is very handy, considering my budget vacation option. Eating in a cafe is still quite expensive.
The room I stayed in is called "Japan". And it is actually decorated in Japanese style. Apparently - a design project. Stylish, Japanese restrained and strict. But nevertheless comfortable.
There is air conditioning, which is a must in the summer heat. Refrigerator, satellite TV, toilet and shower with hot and cold water all the time - these are now "standard options" everywhere.
Nowadays, the Internet via WI-FI should also be a standard default option. However, it is not yet available in the room itself. I know it's being worked on, but when I was there, I had to go to one of the many cafes that had free Wi-Fi. The speed, of course, is not high, but, as they say, "how rich"...
Overall impression of the room: excellent. Everything is thought out, convenient and comfortable, there is everything you need and even a little more. If there was Internet, it would be a rating of 10.
And during my stay the pool was under maintenance. It was cleaned (or repaired something), but it did not work. But this is a temporary matter, I think that probably it has already been put into operation during this time.
From my general impressions of Koktebel, I can say the following: there are fewer people so far than last year. Perhaps the bulk will go later, but for me it was only at hand: there is no crowd on the beaches and you could safely take the best place. There are also no long queues in the cafe (I can't stand them). Yes, and sellers and taxi drivers are more accommodating and you can bring down prices a little : )
In the village itself, everything is calm, patrols are on duty on the embankment, The guys are friendly and welcoming, they exchanged a couple of phrases. Photographed reluctantly (probably out of modesty)
Families with kids walk and enjoy the summer, so you can safely go.
Of the cars, mostly cars with Crimean numbers. Many Russian numbers (with different geography) I also saw a few cars of my countrymen from Belarus. We talked, it turned out that from Gomel, for many years in a row the whole family has been going to Koktebel. We decided not to change this tradition this season. In general, they are also satisfied. Noted. that this year there are fewer people and prices are higher. But the service sector has become more welcoming : )
In a word, now is the most favorable time to relax in Koktebel : )
Recommend! Satisfied with the hotel!

Almost all my life I lived in the Crimea, but NEVER rested in the Crimea as a tourist! : )
After all, it’s like with the natives - you see all the charms of the Crimea only when guests come to you and you show them our local beauty.
Well, here I myself had the opportunity to be in the shoes of a tourist and feel for myself all the delights of a holiday in the Crimea.
Through friends, I learned that there is such a Private cottage village "DIM" in Koktebel. And I settled there for five days.
I will try to describe the pros and cons of staying in this place point by point.
This cottage settlement was built in 2007 and is still relatively young and not killed by our domestic tourists : ) (somewhere in Egypt during this time nothing would have been left of its pristine purity : ) ) )
He has several owners, each of whom owns several rooms.
This reminds me of how in Bulgaria many of ours buy out studios in hotel complexes, and then rent them out to tourists.
One could recall our saying that "seven nannies have a child without an eye", but no! It's all right with that.
LOCATION. This is one of the main advantages, perhaps. Cottages are located right on the seashore, just behind the fence of the complex (the territory is fenced and guarded - this is another plus! )
Thus, to the sea to go 1-2 minutes in total! : )
To the left of the cottages is a magnificent view of the bay with Cape Chameleon, which changes color several times a day.
On the right is the famous Kara-Dag.
Directly on the course (if you face the sea) is the hill in which the founder of the Koktebel estate, professor ophthalmologist Eduard Andreevich Junge, his sons and grandson are buried. Our tourists have chosen this hill as an observation deck.
Especially those who on the sly want to look at naked vacationers on a nudist beach - and this beach is right behind this hill. And this is also one of the attractions. Especially during the traditional jazz festival in September. One of the scenes will be right on this beach.
Another plus of the location is the beginning of the Koktebel embankment. For 15-20 minutes walking, you can walk the entire embankment. But the beginning (or vice versa, the end? ) is right here.
In principle, the famous water park, the dolphinarium, the house-museum of Maximilian Voloshin are within easy reach - everything is nearby.
Another plus is a guarded and fenced area, as I said. Therefore, there are no strangers here. There is a lot of greenery on the territory itself: grass, rose bushes throughout the territory. Clean and tidy.
Free secure parking - if you come by car, you can not worry about the safety of the car.
There is a swimming pool on the territory of the cottage settlement.
I remember how Americans who came to visit me joked about such paper. For a long time they could not believe that it was actually toilet paper, they thought that they were being joked with : )
Further. Another minus. I spilled some sweet tea on the kitchen table the night before. The next morning, dozens of ants arranged a feast around this spot. It was worth wiping the stain - the ants no longer showed up.
Another little thing - there was no lamp above the table. In principle, there was enough light in the room even without it, however ...it should be! : )
And one more thing - a lamp hangs over the mirror in the bathroom - a fluorescent lamp. It took me about 5 minutes to figure out how to turn it on, because the switch was hidden somewhere in the depths of the wooden case.
That's probably all the little things. Of course, they have no fundamental significance - in Egypt it happened even worse.
Yes, another plus...
Many rooms belonging to the same hostess are decorated in a designer, author's manner. One room - in a marine style, the other - in Japanese. The third is in the Provence style, etc. The hostess is an interesting, unusual creative person. Unusually, she even has a name. Her name is Ludwig. Like many Crimeans, she has a mixture of different bloodlines (both Greek and Polish and others) - hence her creative abilities, intelligence, and I would say, some kind of noble demeanor - like in old noble families. . We got to know her and talked. She even took me to show her house (which impressed me pleasantly). I don’t know how she manages to combine her creative nature with a business approach ...But she succeeds. In a word, she belongs to the category of people who do business "with a human face" and create a reputation for themselves so that this business (and this name) can be used by her children and grandchildren.
And I really, really like this approach.
Well, let's go back to the hotel. You can come here as one or two, or as a whole company, even from 5-7 people (there are also rooms where you can sit all together). By the way, it is better and cheaper to travel with a company, for example, from neighboring Feodosia, from the bus station: for example, the four of us chipped in for 25-30 UAH and you can take a taxi.
Here I take from their site: "For whom is a holiday with us suitable?
For couples.
For families with children.
For companies with several people.
For those who want to get to the traditional jazz festival in Koktebel.
For creative people interested in the literary heritage of the golden age of Russian poetry.
For those who like to relax on a nudist beach (it is located in close proximity to the cottage village)
For everyone who loves the sea, good rest and amazing surrounding nature! "
In a word, personally verified - I recommend to rest.
After all, it’s like with the natives - you see all the charms of the Crimea only when guests come to you and you show them our local beauty.
Well, here I myself had the opportunity to be in the shoes of a tourist and feel for myself all the delights of a holiday in the Crimea.
