Will they let you in with an old passport to Ukraine??
Hello! Please tell me, I’m getting married on 04.08 and changing my surname, on September 1 I’m going to Ukraine, tickets were bought for the old surname, will they let me through at the border if the ticket was bought for the old surname, and the passport will already have a new surname?

Passports are checked at the border, not train tickets.
And on boarding the train they check tickets, not passports.
So take it easy everything will be alright
If you flew by plane, then there could be problems, and then I think they can be solved.

This is not true. I have been traveling to the Crimea from Moscow for five years. When boarding, both tickets AND PASSPORTS are required.

At the border, they definitely don’t check tickets (this is the question), or maybe in Moscow they check them when landing (it’s not difficult to check on the spot). Passports, I know, are needed only when buying tickets, and then no one checks them

The ticket and passport are verified when boarding the train; they are verified in any Russian city. I think having a marriage certificate will solve any misunderstanding.
