Wonders of Ukraine
Stories about a trip to Western Ukraine "Only miracles… and nothing more" - 6 days with the company Accord Tour
In short, many thanks to the travel agency Akord and our main guide Galina, and to everyone who met us, fed, drove, told and showed.
And a little more:
Day one - the weather doesn't like us, but…
I'll start from the beginning - terminal "A".
Personally, I was leaving Terminal A for the first time. I got off the train and I think where is this terminal, how to look for it? It turned out to be simple, much simpler than before, when they ran near the station and stared at the conditional identification marks. Do everything according to the instructions issued - put, brought, showed everything, rested, had breakfast, everything is culturally convenient, heard the name of the tour and the flight number is announced and. . Hooray! the journey began.
Here I want to say thank you for the convenient bus and special thanks to the driver (you know what our roads are), applause to the driver.
At first the weather didn't like us, on April 29 there was a light cold rain with wind. But we did not give up and courageously carried out the program. The first stop of Pidhirtsi Castle
Unfortunately, the castle has survived to our time slightly broken (especially inside - there is not allowed at all yet), but restoration work is underway and there is hope when you do not see it in all its glory and glory. Although what is left is enough to envy all its owners and rejoice that such beauty has not been completely destroyed. After taking a picture of the castle and freezing thoroughly, we go to Ternopil.
In Ternopil, the local artificial lake (not such a small pond) walked in waves and imagined itself as the sea - we almost believed… Hmm. . Ternopil is a city near the "sea". In addition to the "sea" and beautiful buildings, I was impressed by the dinner in the "Old Pancake" - borsch in bread plates and other ethnic dishes are delicious, many and very interesting!
Tables must be booked in advance - the place is in demand.
The night was spent at the Hetman Motel in the immediate vicinity of the road and away from nature and attractions - unfortunately. And so quite comfortable - hot water, clean and the food in the restaurant completely.
Day of the second fortress and castles, but how many are here?
After breakfast we set off for Kamianets-Podilskyi.
The first stop Trebovlya is a very ancient place and of course there are ruins of the fortress, you have to climb a hill along the path and there are picturesque ruins, forest and a magnificent monument to a lady Sophia, who played a crucial role in defending the fortress. go find out.
The second stop with a walk in the hills was in Skala-Podilska and there is also a castle, much more than in Trebovlya and views of the unsmoked, not high-rise rural areas, the river house, fields and forests all below ...at our feet .
We arrived in Kamianets-Podilskyi for lunch. Settled in a hotel called "7 days".
Pleasantly surprised by the low prices in cafes, delicious and very pleasant service - everywhere!
Kamianets-Podilskyi is Kamianets-Podilskyi to be seen. Who did not necessarily visit because you do not know the beauty and history of Ukraine if you have not been to. . Kamianets-Podilskyi.
And there are almost manual swans in the park.
About the hotel "7 days" - well, what does it look like - a kind of typical glass-concrete project, but a buffet for 4 solid stars and that's what I'm clinging to.
Average numbers - all you need is a TV, hot towel water, etc.
And downstairs on the -1 floor of the hotel spa bath, swimming pool, if anyone does not forget the rubber slippers and swimsuit - I forgot, had to buy in the store.
After the sauna and pool, life really started to improve
Day three - a bit of Austria-Hungary.
Chernivtsi. As one literary heroine said, if St. Petersburg is washed for 200 years. . it will be practically Dresden.
Chernivtsi does not need to be washed, but the restoration would not fit - unfortunately, our country is poor and should not cling if the damaged plaster of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. However, the University of Chernivtsi is the former residence of the metropolitan in excellent condition - the beauty of the painted tiles shines in the sun, in the corridors it seems that a medieval character will come out of the corner. And cleanliness and no inscriptions from student folklore. We didn't have time to go around the university garden, but God willing, we will come again.
In the city - coffee, Opera House (almost like Vienna only small - you can buy a ticket to see it inside)
Chocolate and… buildings, temples, cobblestones, the street of which was "swept with roses". . and coffee again coffee. Instead of lunch at the bistro and went to a nice cafe.
Those who wished were invited to go and see the tulips - beautiful, but if someone (like me) expected to see the field to the horizon or almost to the horizon… and all in tulips, I missed.
A wonderful sunset was served for a snack.
Day four - proud Khotyn and mysterious Bakota.
Khotyn is a grand building and a magnificent landscape
Bakota is a lost world, a place of power and mystery. The camera couldn't stand it. . there will be no movies!
Although the reservoir ruined the village of Bakota and did not bring the expected benefits in the national economy, but the beauty, let's not be surprised, and you can swim clean water.
In the evening Kamyanets-Podilsky again got to the festival of chivalry - good luck
! ! The old fortress on the towers is illumination - and although it took away from the romance of the Middle Ages, but beautiful.
Those who did not get to the fortress could get potatoes, kebabs, wine, beer and spectacles fried on fires in huge frying pans in the city itself.
Day five - again Ternopil, double two in good weather.
The nature and the program of the trip gave a chance to appreciate Ternopil without rain, wind and gnashing of teeth.
And we took advantage of this, without screwdrivers, contemplating the monuments under the benevolent gaze of Danylo Halytsky, or rather his monument, of course.
And then we moved to Kremenets - a city with mountains on all sides, well, not quite mountains, but high hills, but it looks no worse. So we visited the Castle Hill and behind me were the ruins of Queen Bonn's castle, and at my feet the whole of Kremenets with monasteries, temples and gardens.
In the evening we went to Pochaev Monastery.
Day Six - Bells, incense and bitterness of farewell in the city of Leo.
I will not write about Pochaiv - the Holy Place, the view from the mountain is beautiful, the temples are beautiful….
the rest by faith.
And peaceful and sad - "really, it's over", we arrived where it all started in Terminal "A" and after a break, someone went by train, and who had time for a walk around Lviv - which though did not dispel all the bitterness of parting, but still brought a few more wonderful minutes in the May walk through Western Ukraine.
