Would like to recommend Art City Hotel Istanbul
The hotel without claims, as they say. But clean, tasty, lovely rooftop terrace overlooking the Bosphorus. We took a room with a balcony for $39, but there were also very cheap rooms.
But, I see that he had a dream rating and the price has risen terribly (

Minel Hotel.
Hotel Sapphire.
They are really closer to Gulhane Park, but everything is within walking distance. Of the pluses is that they are closer to the famous bazaars and to the piers, Galata Bridge.

It is difficult to advise without an approximate budget, I really liked Hagia Sofia Mansions Istanbul, everything is close by the location of the main attractions and the hotel has a SPA center in which there is an ancient Roman cistern converted into a jacuzzi

To Vika284: the request was "budget inexpensive hotel". Smiled))

86jjj the budget amount is not indicated, there are hundreds of similar questions without specifying the budget and the answers to these questions are also from Rixos hotels to Maxx, why did this smile on you, and not similar other answers to similar questions without a budget
If you read carefully, at the beginning of my answer I noted that it is difficult to advise without an approximate budget
Sofia Mensions compared to St. Regis or Raffles budget

To Vika284: because it was your example that was not at all budgetary and not expensive :)

86jjj these are all your guesses and guesses about a budget hotel or a non-budget hotel
I repeat that the amount of the budget is not indicated in the question, so any hotel can be advised. We are not clairvoyant, so we can recommend any hotel
Compared to similar St Regis hotels, Sofia Mensions is a budget hotel

May I ask you about the window?
Someone lived in Istanbul in a room without windows? Is it really bad? Can you breathe there?)
If you spend the night, then the window, as it were, is not needed. If only there was something to breathe.
Once in Lvov, without understanding, we filmed without a window. Or rather, there was a window, but it went out into the well, where all the neighboring blocks of air conditioners went out. And we didn't have air conditioning. There was nothing to breathe at all. Almost suffocated)

Apyatka, I lived in a room without a window, but in Barcelona. Normally, I generally go on city tours in hotels just to spend the night. And in Istanbul this September I had a room with a window on the "well" and it was also quite tolerable for the same reason (by the way, it was a good budget Grand Emin Hotel in Laleli, there are all transport interchanges nearby and Sultanahmet is a 15-minute walk, I clarify for the author of the topic, I left my review on the Grand Emin hotel on the site).

If the room has air conditioning, then it is acceptable, in one sentence.

We stayed at the Viva De Lux hotel, it is in the very center of the Fatih district, within walking distance of everything, there is also a good transport interchange, good breakfasts! The rooms are a bit old but clean, the beds are comfortable, there are kettles, tea, coffee and even water in the room! We got 10 euros per person per night, booked through Booking!
