What hotel would you recommend in Side?
TurkeySide
Hello everyone!
In the summer of 2014 we are going back to Turkey. The last two times we rested in Kemer and near it (Geynyuk). The last hotel where we were, we really liked (this is Eldar Resort). And if we don’t find anything more interesting, we will most likely go there again. Friends are advised to consider options in Side. They say that according to our budget ($ 2200-2500 for 2 for 12 nights) you can pick up something, but no one specifically advises anything. Therefore, if anyone can respond, I will be very grateful for the advice. So, our criteria: 1 or 2 coastline, no difference, 4 or 5 stars all inclusive, preferably sandy beach (possibly with very small pebbles), with interesting animation for children and adults, preferably with slides by the pool, with good food, a hotel preferably not jaded. I'm waiting for your feedback!

It would be more correct if you browsed the hotels in Side on the Internet yourself (there are quite a few of them), choose several interesting options for yourself, and then ask about them here.

In Side, all the beaches are sandy, in the city center. They take them to a good, clean beach to the outskirts of the city along a dusty road, where there is nothing but the beach - dogs, a wasteland ... There are a lot of Germans, everything is expensive

We are going to the Maya Club Golf Hotel. In September, a friend went there with her husband and child. They really liked the animation and the fact that the hotel is very clean and quiet. The second line, a very green area. As for the food, she said it was ok. Not much variety, but everything is tasty and fresh. It was also a big plus that the beach has its own bar with snacks, you can not leave the beach for lunch (this is rare for second-line hotels!)

Thank you for not being indifferent. I'm going to look at the options today.

The bar on the beach for all stars was, it's out of town
аватар Trisha75
No. For Palm d * Or 4 * was not. Neither on the one nearby, nor on the one where they were taken ... Even the sunbeds on the beach where they were taken (in the description of the hotel it sounds like "own") were paid!
Hera Park doesn't have a beach bar either.

We had 3 stars and there was a bar and whoever wanted to come there, for an additional fee

...After Goynuk in Side it will not just be sad, it will be SAD!
аватар Trisha75
Well, it's not so sad
The Tetringöil area is very personal, green... pines, eucalyptus trees.
Although I agree that the Kemer region (our beloved Goynuk and Tekirova) win in terms of views and transparency of the sea. But on the other hand, from Side you can go to Aspendos, Perge and Cappadocia))))))))) Well, antique city itself is worth visiting, walking, sitting on the waterfront in a cafe on a rock. Yes, and sand for kids is a priority over pebbles.
Therefore, we break the vacation into 2 parts - first in Side (for small and excursions), and then in Goynuk for me! )))

My first trip to Turkey was in Side, in Titreyengol, I really liked it! Until I went to Kemer and further :) Now in this direction - only by force.
аватар tatia25
Tell me, please, since we started talking about Tekirova, what kind of beaches are there: pebbles or sand-pebbles?
аватар Trisha75
Pebbles at the entrance to the sea and at the bottom (on the beaches of Royal Sultan Garden and Marty Mira). Not large. Mine was 2.5 years old - calmly ran. On the beach itself, first sand, then sand mixed with pebbles)))
In Amara Dolce Vita, the beach is completely sandy, mixed with small pebbles at the entrance to the water, but after 2 meters it is already solid pebbles.

Coral slippers are well suited for such beaches, but my children bathed so well, but my son’s friends didn’t go into the water at the age of 3 (((- they were in Side and Belek before, they say there were no problems .. So once again - ALL CHILDREN ARE DIFFERENT.

We are simply fascinated by Side! Great place - open-air Rome. Ancient ruins - baths, temple of Apollo. Museum on the seashore. Ancient amphitheater. Walking around the town is a pleasure .. narrow streets, many cafes, shops .. and Sorgun hotels are just a miracle - I recommend Turquoise Resort - a pine forest area, squirrels, hedgehogs - two piers, sun loungers 2 meters from the water .. beach sand - in stones in the water - but this is interesting - everyone swims with masks. Water sports are wonderful - take a boat for a turtle tour - huge turtles live in the sea not far from the pier. The food is superb. We ourselves have been going there for 3 years, and other families for 7 years. Also further along the beach there is the Blue Waters hotel - also 5 * - a marvelous huge territory, but a little not as luxurious as Turkuaz. And another hotel - Ali Bey Manavgat - along the same coast - but 10 km further - the food is excellent, the territory is super - alleys, fountains. Own water park - big - like another hotel ... here are 3 places that I can safely recommend. Turkuaz is the closest to Side - and the level of luxury.
