EPHES-PAMUKKALE is very far and long (although interesting and informative) But rafting is highly recommended - an interesting adventure! In the first days of rest (before sunbathing): HAMAM-soap MASSAGE and PEELING-OIL MASSAGE in a good Turkish bath (25-40 dollars per more than two hours of pleasure) - UNFORGETTABLE

I'll post the prices in detail in the evening, I recently returned from there, there is a brochure. I don’t actively advise you to rafting in the first days (before tanning), you will burn in a boat on the water so that you don’t want to go to the sea later, but after tanning you can really have a very active entertaining excursion. As an equivalent, I can offer Unimog-Safari - a trip on yellow all-terrain vehicles through beautiful natural places (green canyon, blue lake, old town in the mountains, Turkish village), a fascinating road, with steep descents and ascents (adrenaline) and pouring water on each other (fun), lunch and donkey rides, visiting the mosque in Manavgat. Only one company in Side does this tour.
Of the educational excursions, I would recommend the two-day Cappadocia, yes, go far, but look at the mountain beauties (passing through a mountain pass) and how people live outside the coast, and the place itself is very beautiful and ancient, go to the Turkish night, the girls dance very beautifully , both men and monks, just eat properly in the hotel, on tour nights, regardless of the assurances of the guide, they do not feed. Of the shorter ones - Demre-Mira-Kekova and I will support Ephesus-Pamukkale. Prices in the evening.

Prices:
- Antalya (ancient bridge, aspendos amphitheater + a lot of shopping, free time in Antalya) - 5 euros, Tuesday, Saturday;
- Alanya (banana plantation, cave (better in New Athos), fortress, 2 hours of free time in Alanya + a lot of shopping) - 7 euros, Wednesday, Friday;
- Pammukale (the mountain itself, traventins, check-in with a Turkish family (everyday life), salt lake, Cleopatra's pool (you can swim), if 2 days then overnight at the HB hotel - 2 days - 30 euros, Wednesday, Saturday, 1 day - 25 euro, Monday, Friday;
- Cappadocia (museum in Konya, caravanserai, underground city, church, etc.) - 3 days - 50 euros, Tuesday, Friday, 2 days - 40 euros, Monday, Thursday;
- Berg Tour (village school, mountain, village house) - 18 euros, Wednesday, Sunday;
- Demre Mira (Church of St. Nicholas, city of Kekova, trip on a yacht with a glass bottom to view the flooded city, lunch) - 36 euros, Wednesday, Sunday;
- Jeep safari (visiting the places described in the previous post, without extreme sports with steep descents and ascents) - 22 euros, every day;
- Unimog-safari (described above) - 25 euros, every day;
- Quads (40 km ride) - 28 euros, 2 times a day from 9 to 13 and from 13 to 16;
аватар _Ivi_
- Cabrio safari (same as jeep safari, only on a bus without windows) - 15 euros, Tuesday, Friday;
- Yacht Manavgat (swimming, bellydance, waterfall, visiting the market in Manavgat, lunch) - 13 euros, Monday, Thursday, Saturday. On my own behalf, I’ll add that the big bazaar is on Monday, you can get there by dolmush, then they will tell you if you ask the bazaar, you can buy fruits, vegetables, seeds, etc., as well as clothes and souvenirs, much cheaper than in stores, it’s better to go on your own, because it is huge, and with a tour you will be limited in time.
- Dolphinarium (actually a dolphinarium, Cleopatra beach, swimming, diving is possible (for a fee, I don’t know how much), lunch) - 18 euros, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday;
- Water Planet water park (drinks and food for an additional fee, 5 hours in the park, when purchasing a ticket, check if all the slides are possible, options are possible) - 25 euros, Monday, Thursday;
- AquaLand water park (same as in the previous one + gold) - 20 euros, Wednesday, Friday, Sunday;
- Antalya (5 hours in Antalya) - 15 euros, every day;
- Green Canyon (3 hours on a yacht, canyon, swimming, lunch) - 33 euros, every day;
аватар _Ivi_
- Green (or blue, whatever they call it) lake (3 hours on a yacht, swimming, lunch) - 28 euros, every day;
- Rafting (15 km. Descent along a mountain river (water 8-10C), swimming (after the sun - super, many people swim), lunch) - 20 euros;
- Diving (2 dives with lunch) - 50 euros, Tuesday, Friday;
- Hammam, sauna, massage (it's better to take it until you get tanned, because as the peeling is done, it will be better to tan) - 18 euros.
- Horse ride (1 hour dressage) - 20 euros, every day;

Prices are for one, if you go with your family ask for a discount, if you go on a second tour from the same agency also ask for a discount. Good luck!

Pamukkale is very far away, I do not advise you to go.
I really liked the Turkish night near Side, tour operators offer. And I also really remember the Green Canyon, a chic place to relax for the whole day. It costs about $ 50 per person with the All Inclusive system.

Very far, everyone has a different concept. To Cappadocia, for example, it takes 6-7 hours to go, and the flow of tourists there does not dry out, as well as to Israel and Cyprus. Let people decide for themselves what is closer to them.

In general, I’ve been to Turkey several times and I just advise you to go to Pamukkale (I’ve been there several times), but rather on a 2-day tour of Pamukkale + Ephesus, also Cappadocia (you won’t regret it). I also enjoyed the jeep safari. True, they went with the British, but the extreme was the same. There were 5 people in the jeep, so the driver rushed along the mountain paths, which was already breathtaking. And on the way back he brought us to some tosad, where we got oranges, lemons, mulberry and mishmul :)
More rafting, Demre-Mira-Kekova. As for city excursions, it’s better by yourself, of course. But if you’re the first to go, then you can go with a group

Many, many thanks to everyone for the answers and for the invisible participation in my trip to Turkey. I'm leaving on August 23 at 05.30 ...

What hotel are you in if it's not a secret?
аватар LANGIS
there is no bowling alley, and there are no pools with mari water. Keep in mind that in Utopia ULTRA ALL INCLUSIVE is very conditional (for example, there are not even free freshly squeezed juices, and in packages too)

Friends, my husband and I are going to Side on October 2nd. I want one 2-day excursion. Tell me which is closer: Cappadocia or Pamukkale? After all, from another resort, such as Marmaris, you can get to Ephesus or Pamukkale. Everyone comes to Turkey more than once. So we choose what is closer at the moment. I will be very grateful.
аватар Afnbybz
Pamukkale is closer.

Why take a 2-day excursion to Pamukkale? In August, my husband and I went from Side to a one-day excursion there - we left at 5 in the morning, and 22 were in the room. It's a pity to spend an extra day. And there on the 2nd day in the morning at 8.00 - swimming in Cleopatra's pool, collecting home and the way back. Wake up at the hotel at 14-16.00. So think. If only together with Ephesus...

Where is the best place to book a tour in Pamukkale? where is cheaper?
аватар Kitsune
I agree, you don’t need to take Pamukkale separately for 2 days. Best Pamukkale-Efes 2-day. It's worth it. You will not regret.
In general, if you do not want to lie on the sea for 9 days, then take Pamukkale-Ephesus for a day and Cappadocia for 2 days. In Cappadocia, you can wave yourself. We went from Alanya (you can also from Antalya) from the bus station. Night bus. Ride 9 hours. Ticket 40 lire. (approx. 27 dollars). Here are some bus companies: Metro Turism,
Nevşehir Kapadokya, Luks Göreme Tourism.
Another company from Alanya is Alanyalilar
The buses are very comfortable.
You will be there in the morning. Day - inspection of Cappadocia, and at 7 o'clock on the bus and back.

long-distance excursions are best taken from tour operators. Everything is clearly organized, guides and food will be provided, though they are always brought to all sorts of "advertising" stores ... this obliges them to be hand-in tour operators ...
аватар Kitsune
Langis, let me disagree with you. If you are driving for the first time, then yes, it is better through the operator. And when it's the second time or a big company, then it's more interesting and cheaper to go "savages" (that is, by yourself). + and the fact that you are not limited by the guide, but watch what is interesting to you and as much as you want + there are no unnecessary shops and the imposition of goods :)
аватар LANGIS
if you are going on an excursion again, then, perhaps, if you have a company, a car, you are young and energetic, then you can "get confused" on a regular bus (I think "turnkey": travel + excursions with a guide + meals on excursions and SAVING = not over $30 per person...)
аватар LANGIS
For example, in PAMUKKALE on a regular bus from the bus station: You need to go to the bus station on the day of the "excursion" from the hotel and back upon your return, before that you need to know in advance the time of the flight in PAMUKKALE and buy tickets for it there and back - one more trip to the bus station and back from the hotel. And what, the regular bus carries directly to the gates of PAMUKKALE?
аватар LANGIS
Regarding local travel agencies: it can, of course, be 20-30 dollars cheaper per person, but the groups, as a rule, are international and the guide will broadcast in several languages, repeating the same memorized information.
It’s fun to join international groups on RAFTING, SAFARI and YACHTS - it’s fun, but on educational excursions ... I don’t agree with Elena25
