We arrived at the hotel just in time for dinner, but we didn’t manage to get into the restaurant right away - all the tables were occupied, since then it turned out that tables had to be occupied in advance (someone put masks, caps, any thing on the table) and could come to the end of dinner only! In connection with the new rules, the entrance to the restaurant is only in a mask (that is, to take food and drinks), but then in the restaurant everyone goes without a maxi and throughout the hotel too.
The entrance to the tables with food will be tied with signal tapes and behind it is a restaurant employee who serves you the food you have chosen (by the way, no one really knows English, and even more so Russian), it’s very hard to explain to them, the food is served almost cold because for the fact that it is in open pallets and is not covered with a lid.
The range of food is simply disgusting, every day the same thing, for lunch one type of soup and one that even pigs will not eat (for all the time in the hotel I did not see anyone with soup for lunch), there was no porridge for breakfast at all! THEREFORE THE CHILD WAS CONSTANTLY HUNGRY! The chicken is dry, the fish has an incomprehensible taste, more or less steamed food, and even then not always. My daughter ate only pancakes for breakfast (at the end of the vacation she began to take more of them at breakfast so that the child could eat them during the day). There is no children's restaurant, you will also have to look for a children's chair to feed the child.
She constantly asked for a small spoon, small teaspoon (small spoon or small teaspoon) to feed the child, for which all the employees, except for one (who did not work every day) sent to the main restaurant where they serve soup for a large spoon.
I tried to explain in both English and Russian that there are large spoons, and I need a small one for a child, but no one understood. Basically, all restaurant food consists of pasta and fries and salads. Sweets, to my great surprise, the choice is very poor and this is in a Turkish restaurant! Just incredible queues for coffee and tea, you can’t even go to the bar for water! And because of the serving of food in the restaurant itself, there are always queues everywhere! And at the same time, the staff in such queues allows themselves to talk among themselves, they can leave to stand to talk and return as if nothing had happened!
Lunch by the sea, no comment. It's either rice and fries or fries and spaghetti. Fish or chicken wings.
The room is ordinary, just the most ordinary. At the entrance to the bed lay a package with a bunch of not ironed! and not quite tidy towels (some towels were clearly old and the threads were unraveling, some in incomprehensible black stains, apparently they once washed the floor and they did not wash off), the towels were hard. Room cleaning, if you can call it cleaning, was not done every day. In the shower, at the entrance, a hairpin was lying on the floor, so it remained lying there when we left. They didn't clean our place for two days, then they cleaned up and didn't put soap accessories and drinking water. Having said this at the reception that I need BOTTLED drinking water for a child in the room, they answered me that take water in the restaurant and in the bar (and there water is served in sealed plastic glasses). But the next day they brought everything to the room. Foot towels were put only twice.
We lived in room 2314 and the windows overlooked the pool.
The music blared so loudly from the pool that I thought there was a wireless speaker in the room. My daughter slept in a daytime sleep (from 13 to 15 approximately) disgustingly, she constantly woke up and because of this she had to be put to sleep on the beach at +37 / +38 degrees. In the evenings they constantly sit and yell at the pool until 2-3 at night, leaving a bunch of garbage, bags of cigarette butts. At the reception, they answered that THIS IS OUR HOTEL AND WHAT WE WANT THAT AND WE DO, WE DO NOT CARE!! ! During the vacation, neither I nor the child could sleep properly.
Their blanket is a large waffle towel, and the pillow is like our textbook in the crib at home.
The playground is NOT lit! Only in my presence were the children hit twice by the swings when the PARENTS rolled their little children. Children run around the playground and they are not quite visible in the dark, and it will not work to stop the swing abruptly, because they are made by a chain. There is no animation for children, there is really no disco.
There were a lot of children in the hotel, but practically no one came to the animation, at most 6-7 people. Yes, and just somewhere to walk around the hotel with a child nowhere to take a walk. From 15 to 16 they give out ice cream at the pool, but it is not even possible to eat it. From the taste of ice cream and there is nothing. The child loves ice cream very much, but did not eat this ice cream at all.
Wi-fi only at the reception and near it, so there are always a lot of people and noisy. In the room, you can not even try to write something and open websites, it will not work.
There is a minibus to the sea and back, but during the week of staying at the hotel we got on it only twice. It's good to be close to the sea. It either stands empty near the hotel, and if you come from the sea and it is not there, upon arrival at the hotel there is no minibus in the hotel either.
The hotel is more focused on the Germans, there are a lot of them in the hotel and the attitude of the staff towards them is completely different. They smile at them, talk to them, etc.
Of the pluses, only the sea, a good entry into the sea, delicious free cakes on the sea, which were baked by a woman after dinner, and a large pool in the hotel (there is also a children's pool and this is a plus). I WILL NEVER GO TO THIS HOTEL, even for free!!!!! !
The food is fresh, but it turned out to be more diverse in Orfeus Park, we went there, a large restaurant, there was enough space for everyone, food was constantly added, there were not enough appliances, but this is if you come at the end of dinner. Meat (chicken, nuggets, turkey, lamb), fish perch, trout, a variety of cheeses, local soy sausages, soups, a sandwich maker, a lot of salads, delicious buns, cakes so-so 50/50, halva, dried apricots, raisins, honey in combs, wali, cookies, tasteless delight, fruits, watermelons, melons, plums, apples, oranges, grapefruit, grapes, peaches rarely. Sour wine, juices such as UPI, cola gas, fanta. Coffee machines, cappuccino, strong brewed tea are good.
The transfer to the beach goes clearly without delay, although it takes 5 minutes to walk, but it's hot. They serve lunch on the beach, they make tortillas with cheese, in short food is everywhere. boxing until 20-00, so we were hungry, but this is our mistake, they do not warn. Animation is so-so, mostly darts, water polo, disco in the evening (3 times a week), sometimes aqua aerobics, volleyball on the beach, there is table tennis , billiards, free sauna, hammam, billiards. Paid hammam costs $ 30. Towels for the beach are issued on a card, I advise you not to lose it, a fine of $ 15. There are mosquitoes, but not very many. There are sharp stones on the beach, we walked to the left of the beach . The waves were in the sea every day, there were enough sunbeds for everyone, but there were no mattresses. There is a shower on the beach, a changing room.
1) When you check in, ask for a room with access to the pool. Those on the street are noisy, keep in mind that cars drive around the clock. We were settled in this - we survived the night, then asked to be relocated. We motivated by the fact that we have a child, we don’t use air conditioning, and opening the door to the balcony is noisy, we can’t sleep. Changed without problems, moved in 15 minutes. The room was standard, everything was in order. 2) On the children's slides, watch the children. There are no supervising personnel, the children go down by themselves, some slow down because of fear and stop, and the next ones go without waiting. Our son fell for such a chubby girl - he almost lost a tooth, it cost a little blood. 3) There are enough sun loungers on the beach, it can be seen that the mattresses have recently been updated. But do not go into the water directly opposite the Orpheus loungers - stones / blocks, the sea often drives a wave, sometimes
that knocks down an adult, rob yourself of all your health. Go to that part of the beach, which is on the left of the orpheus rookery, if you stand facing the sea, it is only 10-15 meters from the left edge. There is sand, there are a couple of stones in the water, but you will figure them out and go around. And enjoy the waves on the sandy bottom. 4) Remember the bus schedule - it runs every half hour, when you slosh in the water it's nice to drive up. Walk 5-7 minutes to the beach at a leisurely pace. The water was 24-25 degrees, I did not want to get out of the water. 5) Pay attention to soda machines - sometimes cola and fanta (beer too) are diluted with water. Near the bar of children's slides there was a moment when the machine did not work for several hours from the moment it was opened, then it was charged and turned on. I scored a fanta, and in a glass of cereal. Looks like they didn’t pump it when turned on after a downtime. Therefore, advice - pour a bit of a drink - look, try it and then pour it full. Especially for children. 6) The food is good,
if you go in the first hour, a full house and there is everything. We went in the second hour, there was enough food, but there was a shortage of cutlery (we took dessert forks and spoons), there were not enough glasses for wine (we poured them into paper glasses). I was pleasantly surprised by the presence of dried apricots, raisins, honey in combs (I have not even seen this in the Turkish five). From meat - mostly chicken (nuggets - chic), turkey, lamb less often and in minced meat. Two kinds of fish. Lots of salads. Delicious cheeses. Do not be afraid to try white yogurt, it is delicious especially if there are raisins with dried apricots. Coffee is so-so. We took our custard from home, poured boiling water and got high. Please note that fresh green mint is put on salads with whole stems - if you take it, you can brew delicious tea from fresh mint. Sweets are so-so. Dry white wine, red wine is normal, there is a refrigerator with bottles, you can take it yourself and pour it. Some took a whole bottle and carried it to the table. Whiskey, gin and tonic, we did not take, give up to 24 hours,
after - extra charge. Ice cream is not a fountain and was not always enough for everyone. Sometimes 1 person was put on the distribution and the queue was long - not everyone is pleased to wait under the sun. 7) The contingent is a lot of Germans, then Russians, Ukrainians, a bit of Turks. 8) There is animation for children, but it is no different from other hotels - standard children's competitions, a children's disco with German songs that have already become almost native. 9) Not far from the beach there is a tiled alley. It stretches along the coast for about a couple of kilometers. Nice to walk along it in the evening. If you take an electric motorcycle for 20 euros for an hour (we bargained for $ 15), then you can drive this entire alley back and forth twice with a breeze (get right up to the Alba hotels). 10) The Internet is stable only in the lobby and in the restaurant. In rooms, no. There is a free hammam, but we didn't go. On the ground floor there is billiards, a fitness room, ping-pong.
11) The cleaning of the rooms goes like this: the cleaning lady chickened out a rag in the corridor, and without washing it she wiped the room, the unpleasant smell remained. Changed towels, took out the trash, added drinking water.
Summary: in relation to price / quality, the hotel is worth the money spent. It is evident that they are trying to keep their 4 stars. Please note that some agencies charge a higher price than others - this is not justified. Look for those who give the right price.
1. The distance from the airport to the hotel is no more than 60 km. I traveled with my 7 year old daughter.
2. My budget was 15000-16000 UAH for 1 adult + 1 child
For 3-4 weeks, different TAs offered me tours, but I chose the Orfeus park Hotel 4 * from the More Tours agency.
We arrived at the hotel in 50 minutes, had time for lunch and within an hour we were settled in the room. The room is bright and cozy. The food was delicious, but after three days, of course, it became boring. For breakfast, lunch and dinner there was always fish, meat and vegetables were constantly available. Fruits: watermelon, melon, peaches, oranges, plums.
A hotel for family and relaxing holidays, there was an interesting children's animation and a children's disco every day except Sunday.
The sea is very warm, it takes 10 minutes on foot or 1 minute by minibus of the same hotel. All in all it was a great holiday and my daughter really enjoyed it.
We rested with my daughter from June 13-20.2017.
Main problems:
1. NO HOT WATER. However, this is considered the norm. The maintenance staff could not understand why this is a problem for us. In general, no one will promptly solve this problem for you. It's all about the boilers, because of their small capacity, the water simply does not have time to heat up. If you want to take a shower (especially during rush hour), you will have to climb into cold water.
2. SERVICE PERSONNEL. Are you having a problem? If you speak German, you have a chance to be understood! But most of the staff don't speak any language other than Turkish of course.
3. FOOD = THE SAME MEAL EVERY DAY. Meat is practically non-existent. You will be offered 1 meat dish and 1 fish dish. At the same time, we seem to have eaten stewed chicken with peas and carrots for the rest of our lives. Side dishes = every day rice and fries for which German vacationers line up.
Even the desserts are the same every day. Fruit - only watermelon and melon. Once they offered cherries, in line they pushed each other with their elbows.
All inclusive is breakfast, lunch and dinner. Forget about snacks! They are not here! And if you want to have a snack in between, you will have to endure!
4. LOUNGE LOUNGE BY THE POOL. Vacationers take sun loungers from 5.30 in the morning. Somehow we accidentally woke up at 6.00, decided to go throw towels, take our seats. We were shocked, 30% of the places are occupied!
By 9:00, when you usually go for breakfast, there are no free sun loungers at all. Tellingly, there are towels on all the sun loungers, and only 10 percent are occupied by people. The rest at this time - on the beach.
5. BEACH. The beach that you imagine and the one that you are promised, believe me, is nothing compared to what you will have to see.
300-400 meters to stomp on the dust (passing road), and closer to the sea, Turkish craftsmen lay the road, so get ready in advance for the fact that the second part of the path you will have to walk on sand and stones.
Yes, they promise you a shuttle! Here you will be transported on a tractor. Not on a train, as you imagine, but on a tractor, in the trailer of which they will offer you a ride!
And when you reach / reach the sea and are ready for water procedures, you will have to look for a place to enter the sea, because there are plates on our beach.
6. CONTINGENT. Do you think you have seen the rudeness of Russian vacationers? You haven't seen the Germans! The lower classes of German society rest in this hotel. People who push you with their elbows in the dining room, who at 6.00 run to take sun loungers by the pool in order to lie on the beach all day and only in the evening return for half an hour to the pool, who go to take a shower at exactly 17.30, because at 18.
00 dinner starts and they need to be in time, who will never switch to your (even good) English.
In a word, "ours" are educated people!
7. STARS. To our question "how did such a hotel get 5 *? " They answered us: "well, there is a Turkish bath, a hairdresser, and thanks to these services the hotel got 5 * By the way, the bath here is very good. The gym has 2 simulators: a treadmill track + complex simulator.
In a word, friends, make your own choice, of course, but my husband and I decided to be more careful in choosing hotels and operators.
BECAUSE OPERATORS WHO RESPECT THEIR TOURISTS DO NOT SEND THEM TO SUCH 5*
From the pros: fairly new rooms, individual air conditioning, and of course the sea with a sandy beach pleased the soul, even though it was 5-10 minutes on foot along a dusty road. 90% of vacationers are Germans, a rather peculiar nation and they do not have impudence. We were not lucky with the guide at the hotel, we did not take a single excursion from him, respectively, and the attitude towards us immediately changed. In general, we had a good rest, but we do not want to return there. Although for the money that it costs - a sin to complain.
