- they can drop drunk people off the plane ...
- they can stop those whose passport is valid for less than 6 months (not always, there were cases of flying a month before the end, but this is at your own peril and risk)
- can stop those against whom a criminal case has been opened ...
- can those who have old foreign passports. passport and no TIN with you

Thank you, tell me what does the old passport mean?

There are 3 types of passports in Ukraine now:
- these are RED foreign passports, still without a plastic insert and without a TIN entered there
they are absolutely normal and valid until the end of the expiration date ...
but for just a couple of weeks, they may not be allowed into Turkey if the RED passport is without a TIN (they can let you in, but it’s better to take the TIN with you)
- RED passports with TIN
- BLUE passports are the newest...

Customs and border guards are different services.
In addition, you cross the border of at least two countries. They have their own customs and border. And your own rules.
Our customs today practically does not check those leaving and entering Turkey - a green corridor. But they can also check. Illegal items are checked - weapons, drugs, antiques, cash, goods in large volumes. For example, they will assign VAT and duty on the import of a refrigerator. Or a gift knife was confiscated from my son. Etc.
The border checks the legality of the crossing. For example, our TIN border does not require. Turkish started, but so far only in Istanbul. This is a fight against those who violated the visa regime and changed their passport. It is then calculated by the TIN.
The 6-month validity period of the passport is also checked by the border of the country of entry. Ours doesn't care, as long as it's not overdue.
The border guard passes the passport through the reader.
The passport number and TIN are automatically checked against the database of persons with entry-exit restrictions - previous violations of the visa regime, court decisions with a ban, people on the wanted list.
Criminal cases, for example, are not automatically included in this database.

It's been explained very clearly here. I was surprised that in Ukraine they enter the TIN in the passport! There is no such thing in Russia.
As for the question - I only once witnessed such a case when a person was not allowed on board - he was drunk as hell, and when a policeman at the Antalya airport made a remark to him that he was making noise - he approached him, took off his cap and put it on to the fountain (which is in the center of the hall). The man was immediately rounded up by 3 police officers - and then his wife did not board the flight herself.

And from Russia they may not be allowed to fly those who have debts under a writ of execution: persistent non-payers of alimony, utilities, traffic police fines, etc.

in Ukraine they were also going to adopt a similar law - but everything somehow stalled :)

Thanks to everyone for the answers, but I live in Russia, how are things with customs in Russia?

Just like in Ukraine, and in most countries of the world = "customs today practically does not check those leaving and entering Turkey - a green corridor. But they can also check it. Illegal items are checked - weapons, drugs, antiques, money, goods in large volumes. For example, they will charge VAT and duties on the import of refrigerators."

Two years ago I flew to Turkey on my sister's passport (mine was delayed in extradition). We look alike only in the color of our hair :) It was certainly scary, but everything went well!

And I kind of freaked out. The representative of the travel agency asked her husband to hand over the sealed envelope to another representative of the travel agency upon arrival. He took it, I got scared - it is not known what was there ... They wanted to return it - the guy had already fled. So they were nervous the whole flight, and then they gave it to the first travel agent they came across (they were surprised, but they took it). I still don’t know “what is bulo - maybe a UFO!” ... What if they would have detained and asked “what is there?” ... and there: “gold, diamonds”? how .... I hope it's not smuggling ...
