The main difference is obvious: the sea and the beach are only in summer (in winter, temperatures average 12-14, winds and rains are possible. But if you choose a hotel in the city, so that there is where to go and what to see (for example, Antalya, and in it there is an Aquarium, Old Town etc.), and even with a heated pool and a good SPA, so that it works all year round (accordingly, the kids club also works), perhaps the child will like such a vacation) excursion programs are very shortened. but you need to understand that hotels that can provide all of the above are quite expensive. And there are few of them. And the prices for tours during the winter holidays are also not encouraging.

I would not advise, at this time there are only German pensioners. Tours are not booked. The shops are closed. The beach is possible if you are a walrus. Is it possible to take a ready-made bus sightseeing tour ...

I wouldn’t go, it’s better to go to Egypt and then take a ticket in advance. on holidays, all prices increase by 2-3 times.

Winter holidays are different. The sea is there, but swimming is cold. The weather is unsettled... it's winter in Turkey too. There are hotels with heated pools. This to some extent compensates for the lack of sea baths. Such hotels are not cheap, they are designed to work all year round. Traveling with a child in winter is a hassle (drafts, dampness, wind ..)

In winter, only Egypt is suitable, if it’s inexpensive. The sea, a tan (a child of school age, I understand).

But there are also advantages to winter holidays. Was this winter twice in Alanya. The first time at the end of December, the second time at the end of January. Then for the first time I went to Turkey in the winter. The weather is very changeable, that's a fact! In the morning I left the room in a long cardigan ... there was a strong wind and rain ... within an hour the weather changed and voila ... we are sitting in a restaurant on the seashore in jeans and a T-shirt ... it's hot - at least sunbathe !!!
And in general, I really liked it in Turkey at this time of the year ... the weather is comfortable, there are almost no tourists, it is quiet, calm. Of course, you don’t swim much in the sea, but to breathe in the sea is the best time, as for me;)

In winter in Turkey, practically no rest, it's cold. Even in Egypt, you don’t really swim in the sea, but there is a heated pool

My teenager and I have been vacationing with our family for 5 years already on New Year's Eve in Turkey. Rest in 5 * hotels, all inclusive, heated pool, hammam. It's like an alternative to expensive holiday homes near Moscow. Accommodation approximately 25/35 000 r from 6 to 9 nights per person. Plus a. b about 20,000 r Aeroflot. Sea air, excellent service, wonderful food. We really like the charm of winter Turkey. We ourselves go to the market, walk along the shore and drink pomegranate juice. We sit in cafes by the sea and drink tart Turkish coffee. You can’t guess with the weather, but everything changes quickly - you can get into the rain before lunch, and then the sun and plus 18. There are no excursions. Do not swim in the sea. We rested in Side by the sea on the beach. And in Antalya. Antalya is livelier - an aquarium, a bazaar, shops, a marina, more people. If a large family or acquaintances is traveling, then it is not at all boring. The hotels on the coast can have table tennis and even a kids club, but on a very limited program. In Antalya, in the hotel, in my opinion, there was nothing for children, except for the pool. A week by the sea is always very happy. It is warmer in Egypt and for small children, definitely more entertainment in the hotel. It is full of Russian-speaking tourists for the New Year.

Winter holidays differ from summer holidays in that you can go skiing.
For example Polat Erzurum Resort Hotel
Turkey. All inclusive plus skis.

Take a walk, breathe in the sea, even swim if there is no rain. Excursions are not recruited - this is a big minus. So I wanted to see Cappadocia, Pammukale without the heat and fuss. Alas. Yes, and the Turks celebrate New Years exclusively, like the Turks. Full hotels, as we used to go to Yalta

Well, I would not deliberately take a tour to Turkey in winter.
Another thing is if circumstances send you there in the winter.
I would rent a car, and I would calmly travel around the local attractions.

Avtomaxxx, if for a hundred years in Turkey, where to travel? And what attractions will be of interest to the child?

If you want to travel to Turkey in winter, I would recommend a trip to Istanbul. People correctly write that you can’t swim in the sea. Tours are not very good. But in Istanbul there is something to see. You can walk along the Bosphorus on a watercraft beforehand to dress warmly. And the child will be interested, I think. Look at the age of the child. In a word, Istanbul is a city of contrast. Good luck.
