I agree about the long haul. In Didim, even more transportation, even all three hours can take. Didim - the only advantage is the price. If you want an ideal, gentle, sandy entry into the sea for a child - then you are in Belek on the Antalya coast. But I do not promise super-transparency of the sea there. If you want a super transparent sea - only the mountainous region of Turkey.

For myself, I kind of concluded that Kemer has a clear sea, but mostly a stone entrance. And the flatness and sand in Side (seemingly cheaper) and in Belek (more expensive).
