We gathered for the first time with my grandson (he will be 3.5 years old) in October in Turkey, and in the news there are horror stories about the Coxsackie virus and rotavirus. Share your experience, who often flies with children, is it worth it to be so afraid?

I think there are more of them in Zatoka and Iron Port, these viruses.
аватар for.my.connect
Especially in October, as you plan, there will be fewer people - and, therefore, viruses)
аватар nataliya30
How many years we have been flying, we have never picked up, mmm.
аватар NataSt66
Thank you. Although they reassured me a little. Of course, I heard about this, but they talk almost about a mass phenomenon.

According to official data from the insurance company, only 6 cases of the Kosaki virus were registered in 4 months.
In other cases: chickenpox, otitis media, colds, poisoning, etc.
Infection occurs most often in an airplane during a flight.

agent_borabora____ "In other cases: chickenpox, otitis media, colds, poisoning, etc." ______ you know how to calm people down.)))

this year TURKEY IS A GREAT HOTEL OF DIRT AND DISEASE!
My friend’s child fell ill in Kemer, they arrived and a week later the temperature was 40, rashes and ulcers all over the body ... well, what do you want if this year they launched 10 million uncivilized people who piss and shit in children’s pools, with me in disgrace, a Russian woman from Surgun was kicked out of the hotel, who emptied herself for the most part in a jacuzzi, being in a completely drunk state.

In October, of course, there will be fewer people, but it’s not a fact that you won’t catch anything. Much depends on the immunity of the child. If he is ill with you all the time, then he can catch anything on vacation (everywhere, not only in Turkey). If the immune system is fine, then don't worry. In any case, insurance, if the child becomes unwell, contact the insurance. Turkey has excellent medicine. I have experienced different things with three of my people of different ages. This year, the average ear got sick (apparently water got in), and the youngest (4 years old) tempiraturil upon arrival, .... nothing like this has ever happened to us in all the years .... she has been traveling with us since 2.5 months ... and here ... and what was it ... Maybe at the airport she caught or got cold ... But they gave an antipyretic, and the child was cheerful and cheerful all day ..... For two days the temperature rose and then everything OK. In both cases, they consulted a doctor under insurance. Coxsackie is a nasty thing, but it's roulette. Take insurance, tune in to the positive and have a good rest

Pusya66, as an immunologist, I categorically do not advise taking such a young child to a country with a different climate. If you really want to take your child to the sea, then take them for one and a half to two months. Of these, acclimatization will take place for twenty days ... As for viruses, yes, infectious disease colleagues register an increase in the number of cases of infectious diseases brought by tourists from Turkey. You need it - to expose the health and life of your grandson to a serious risk?! Moreover, in Ukraine the level of medical care leaves much to be desired!
аватар 3018886
So you advise taking a child to the sea for two months ... and where to take it to which sea? to my grandmother in Nice or Monaco, and how much will it cost?
While the picture of the terrible virus is clear and understandable - the hygienic uncleanliness of people with their large concentrations, and the facts of mass poisoning and infection of children and adults by the thousands speak for themselves! , but to treat all my life already at home and the consequences of such a rest can be terrible.
аватар Kolhoznic
3018886, in this part - "no bullshit insurance will ever help your baby - all this is nonsense .. the maximum enema will be given by a Turkish intern, and treating all your life at home and the consequences of such a rest can be terrible." - totally agree with you!

Dear 3018886 and Kolhoznic .... Don't complicate things like that. and at the expense of a Turkish intern .... such medical equipment that I saw last year in a local medical center last year our large clinics can enlist. The son caught an infection in the pool (this is 2016, the Long beach Resort hotel) Alanya - in the morning the temperature rose and began to feel nauseous ... we were brought under insurance to a small 2-storey house ... and inside a well-equipped office for everything standards. They took a drop of blood from my son and immediately received a detailed blood test on the printer, according to which the doctor made a diagnosis and prescribed treatment. We were immediately transferred to the 2nd floor with the most excellent special beds, which are not available in every intensive care unit in our clinics .... they put a dropper there and after 3 hours we were released. Then we drank the prescribed medicines for another 3 days, but the next day my son already felt great and we continued to rest. So what kind of interns are you talking about?
аватар moy_contakt
I will add that we have standard insurance, not extended. When you travel with children, you should not self-medicate and save money (the insurance deductible is 30 ye). This year, the examination was done at the hotel, the insurance doctor came directly to the hotel and if hospitalization was not required, then on the spot in the office examination, diagnosis and treatment. it’s very convenient, since the franchise is paid once and the youngest was then examined by a doctor and on the second and third days, it was not clear what the reason for the increase in temperature was and we were waiting for possible other symptoms, and we, walking from the beach, if the doctor was in the office, went to him or he himself, seeing us, called us into the office. But most likely, either the immune system won the sore. Or, nevertheless, there was such acclimatization.
аватар 3018886
moy_contakt - so you are telling that all your trips were not without infection at these resorts and all your phrases "My son caught an infection in the pool (this is 2016, the Long beach Resort hotel) Alanya - and in the morning the temperature rose and began to feel nauseous .. "
"This year, the average ear got sick (apparently water got in), and the youngest (4 years old) tempiraturil upon arrival, ..."
".... For two days the temperature rose..."
"... on the second and third days, maybe it was not clear what was the reason for the increase in temperature"
moy_contakt.... and for the sake of such torments and wanderings around first-aid posts in a foreign Muslim country, pay crazy money to poison your children and be happy to be surprised at the new equipment in the first-aid post of a foreign country and be touched that you have come to be treated for an infection picked up in a pool or canteen at a ball under some kind of insurance?
аватар Alexandr-
Dear... There is such a simple thing as statistics. Every summer in Russian children's camps, MUCH more children catch some kind of infection than in resorts in Turkey. The last example is a camp somewhere in Bashkiria, where 70 children were poisoned and most are still in intensive care. I'll tell you more, even comes to death. So stop muddying the waters here...

3018886___ "well, what do you want if this year they launched 10 million uncultured people who piss and shit in children's pools ..." But these are just the words of a very cultured intellectual. )))
It is a pity that they removed the topic about coxsackie. So, there one Ukrainian citizen tried to prove to another Ukrainian citizen that they brought the coxsackie virus from their homeland.

Hello. We celebrated 2 years for our daughter and then our son in Turkey. Everything was great. A few recommendations:
1. Make sure your child is washing their hands.
2. Do not let him into the children's restaurant (there the kids often grab or drop food, and then put it back)
3. If possible, swim only in the sea.
4. Limit sun exposure and use sunscreen.
And all will be well :-)

3018886 I specifically described the health problems that we faced in the last 2 years, to be honest, this is the first time in all our trips. And we were with children in many countries. These are standard situations that can be encountered everywhere, but not everywhere you can be provided with high-quality medical care - there are no problems with this in Turkey. Or do you think that going local to a dirty beach with incomprehensible food and our cool medicine will be better, that's definitely not. There has never been food poisoning in any of the countries (India, Greece, Montenegro, Sri Lanka, Turkey, Egypt, etc.) But on our native Black Sea coast, we even visited an infectious disease and I will honestly say that to me, from the fact that it was Ukraine, it wasn't much easier. We spent a lot of money on treatment and then recovered again .... The main thing is to choose a quality hotel and everything will be fine.

By the way, I just went to another topic of this site http://www.turpravda.ua/tr/question-60752.html?p=2#pagination so there these two comrades 3018886 and Kolhoznic posted one to one posts about sores and coxsacks. ....these are trolls....so don't waste time on these comrades, they have other tasks...
аватар Alexandr-
If I were the moderators, I would check the IP addresses of the collective farmer and the troll with numbers in the nickname. And if they turn out to be "suspiciously similar", I would throw both of them out of here)))) I don't think that anyone takes seriously what Kolhoznic scribbles
аватар 3018886
Alexandr - this is the real Kolhoznic and probably Alexander has the most suspicious IP address, complain to the FSB or the Investigative Committee on the occasion of the discovery of the COXACHI virus in Turkey.

Your Ukrainian doctors can envy! Cool, this is a blood test on the printer. In Siberia, so far they have learned to use scanners only for this. There is in any village FAP. As well as functional beds!

These are not horror stories, but, alas, facts. Moreover, the stardom of hotels does not stop coxsackie and rotavirus at all. It also spreads by airborne droplets. There is not only in Turkey, it also manifests itself in Ukraine. To go or not to go is your choice. In October, everything will go downhill. We did not take risks, we went to Europe.
аватар NataSt66
Thank you very much to everyone for the answers)))). Still in thought). We were going for sure, but after the latest news and plus friends flew in with a baby (2 years old) and picked up in Otium Life, it looks like Coxsackie, but they didn’t voice it, but a rash and everyone had a sore throat, two adults and a child, then they began to doubt. Although there are a lot of people flying and everything is in order, we can see for ourselves. We have already been at sea with our grandson, but not in Turkey with him yet.
