1000 USD is it really for a family?
There are such inputs: 2 adults + 2 children (7 and 2 years old) from Kyiv we really want to go to the Aegean coast of Turkey, but we have only 1000 USD. Is it realistic to wait for last-minute trips to at least 4 * for August or to immediately look for something in Ukraine?

You can’t wait for last-minute trips, as Turkey sells well in the summer. At the moment, tours to the Aegean coast start at $1164 (price for a 4* hotel).
аватар mashka-milashka
This is the price with a departure from Kyiv for 2 adults and 2 children with a departure on August 30 for 7 nights.

If you mean Bodrum and its environs, then the prices there are more expensive for everything. This is the former Greece and is loved today by the British. We lived in a C grade, but it was good for everyone: both food and two adults, and also a child on the territory and next to the sea. Your free sunbeds on the sea. For some reason, there are a lot of Poles from the audience, less Russian speakers.

For 2 adults and 2 children on hot tours 1000 USD. is here for June. Now there are last-minute tours to Bodrum from Kyiv, but the price is higher: "Green Beach Resort" 5 * with a departure of 10.6 at a price of 349 USD from one, the Grand Efi Club 4 * 389 USD from one. . There is a tour for 7 nights on 14.06. 2 adults + 1 child "Kandi Onura Holiday" 4 * - price 988 USD "Tarkhan Beach Club" 2 adults + 1 child - 970 USD. 2-year-old is almost not taken into account anywhere, therefore, we don’t take it into account. Here is an approximate guideline for the prices of burning ones, and then in June. I wouldn't put off waiting for the August opportunity, "what if". Now here you can barely squeeze into the budget of 1000 dollars. But not in August. Because you are also traveling with a baby, and therefore it is worth considering hotels at least 4 *.

I just hope that the youngest can sleep with us on the same bed. That is, you can fit in one standard. Maybe this way the price will be less?
аватар goga504
3 stars will be enough
аватар musja7
Ludun, in calculating the cost of the tour, the age of the children is taken. Those. Each hotel has its own policy. But basically, children under 2 years old are not considered. Although if the child is full 2, then in some hotels it is already taken into account. Babies are provided with a crib.
goga504, the family is traveling with small children. A 3 * hotel in Turkey is not suitable for this. It's hard for me to imagine what to feed them there. Sausages? Food in 3 * hotels for kids is not suitable in any way. In addition, 3 * hotels in Marmaris-Bodrum are almost 100% urban youth hotels. They are especially not intended for families. In Marmaris-Bodrum, in general, rest is not very suitable for small children. Still, these are more youth resorts or for families with older children. With kids it is better to go to club hotels in the suburbs. But there the cost is higher. Or go to villages such as Didima, Fethiye, Sarigerme
аватар kolyan_cat
The fact that you are ready to sleep with a small one together will practically not affect the price. In the cost that you are looking for, the main part is the flight, and for a 2-year-old child, a separate paid seat on the plane is already required.
Further, I do not understand the approach "there is nothing to feed a child in 3 *", and quirks about club hotels. For a small one, it will be possible to find something, incl. and buy something in the store, and havka in 4 * on a last-minute ticket (a slow-moving hotel) can be worse than in 3 *. And in the region of the same Alanya and in Kemer, a lot of people with small children, and nothing.
аватар musja7
kolyan_cat, what does Alanya and Kemer have to do with it? Yes, everywhere there is with small children. But in reality, in 3 * hotels, food for 2-year-olds is not adapted at all. There is also fast food for adults. And why go on vacation and run in search of food for kids in supermarkets? Or carry an arsenal of canned purees with you for a 2-year-old? In any 4-5 * hotel there is always something to take for breakfast, lunch or dinner, suitable for a child, even from a common table (if there is no child). You can always find milk, yogurt, oatmeal, muesli, pancakes, etc. for the same breakfast. And in 3 * food for adult stomachs is another test. No, if you are used to feeding small children at home with fried potatoes, grilled chicken (at best) and sausage of an incomprehensible color, then yes, you can go to 3 * with a baby.
аватар kolyan_cat
You can take muesli and milk from home or buy it in the store. With a budget of $1,000, the author of the question is clearly not one of the snobs who eat organic food in exclusive restaurants))
Only it seems to me that it is difficult to feed a 2-year-old child with muesli, probably they meant instant porridge.
And Alanya and Kemer, in addition, I quote: "With kids, it's better to go to the suburbs to club hotels. But there the cost is higher. Or go to villages like Didim, Fethiye, Sarigerme."
In general, you should not become attached to stardom, in Turkey this is a very conditional concept and surprises can be everywhere. In 2012, when there was a wave of food poisoning in Alanya, hospitals were brought from 5 *.
аватар musja7
kolyan_cat, in good hotels, food is monitored. Food poisoning is rare there. But rotavirus, enterovirus infection (intestinal flu) is just every year in many hotels. Regardless of class and stardom. Most often, in family hotels where there are many children. Most of all, they are brought from Alanya, because. there they choose to rest precisely because of the sandy beaches for children. The source of infection is humans. And the more people, especially with small children, the higher the risk. It already depends on the hotel and can be in any hotel
аватар kolyan_cat
yes, I agree, I personally observed how a child, excuse me, "shat" in the children's pool, undoubtedly this is one of the main sources of infection transmission. Therefore, I am skeptical about the possibility of poisoning a child with rotten cutlets. Parents see what is what and I do not think that sane parents will feed a 2-year-old child with meat dishes from the common table. And 5 * will not save you from enterovirus in the pool. In my opinion, it is in hotels with a large number of small children that the likelihood of infection is greatest, because. small ones control the "valve" worse and more often "infect" pools))

We were with an older child at 3 years old in 3 * in Bodrum. It’s really difficult with food, not so much because there is nothing to choose for the baby, but because from 16.00 to 18.30 there was nothing at all ((and the car wakes up hungry every 16 times))) because the request for 4 * at least ...
I see Turkey is not shining for us yet ...
аватар kolyan_cat
Yes, where does the stars have to do with it, I observed that in the 4 * day there was nothing to eat either, some kind of pizza, french fries and kebabs, who in their right mind would give this to a 2-year-old child?
Take bags of oatmeal with you, or dry mashed potatoes, or other breakfast cereals. You put an electric kettle in your luggage, they heated some water there, steamed the porridge / mashed potatoes, or bought other baby food in the store (mashed potatoes, pates) - and no problems. You buy the same yogurts in the store, they are of normal quality there. The child will not be hungry.
аватар musja7
kolyan_cat, even on last-minute trips, you can choose a 4 * hotel is normal. I don’t know how you choose, but I didn’t have a single pass, even a 4 * option. The main thing is not to blindly buy a tour on a tip from an agent, or like in Fortune or Roulette, when there is no possibility. and collect information on the hotel yourself and only then book. And going on vacation and dragging a bunch of food for children with you or running around to buy shopping is already some kind of "sovdepiya". . Fly to Turkey with pates, dry breakfasts, dishes, teapots? Although, to each his own...
аватар kolyan_cat
You can not drag, buy there. All the same, you will have to go to the store, buy the same water, some kind of napkins, for example.
When I travel abroad, I always take vodka, beer, bread and sausage with me for my own consumption, it would be better to be a "sovdepiya" than to buy it there for foreign currency.
We are soon flying to Cyprus, so stocked up with Mivina, sausage, cognac, beer and Borjomi. Anyway, for a family of 4 people, 4 pieces of luggage are supposed, the suitcases will be half empty. We don’t have lunch included, and in the evening sit on the balcony with sausage and cognac and start the morning with a beer, that’s it.

“When I travel abroad, I always take vodka, beer, bread and sausage with me for my own consumption, it would be better to be a “Sovdepiya” than to buy it for foreign currency there.
Why buy water, beer, bread, if you fly to Turkey in "all"? Even in 4 * there is always free water in bottled refrigerators throughout the territory - go and take as much as you need without any problems. Bread-rolls of various types are also a huge amount. The same beer "Efes" - at least swim. Something I doubt that you even rested in 4 * ..... I consider further discussion inappropriate
аватар antonua
to be honest, going to Cyprus and eating sausage and drinking brandy there looks strange. It has its own wonderful cuisine, and drinks too :)
аватар kolyan_cat
Another doubtful))) I didn’t take sausage and beer to Turkey, because there is Oll and there are no problems squeezing kebabs into the room for a snack and beer on the ball. But Turkish "whiskey" on Olla, with the taste of burnt tires, or that poison that they call "vodka" - thank you, a normal person will not drink, so he brought vodka and cognac with him.
And to other countries - I take both sausage, and bread, and Mivina.
Borjomi relieves a hangover very well in the morning, but there is no such thing abroad, so I take it with me.
As for Cyprus, unfortunately, I don’t drink wine on principle, and spirits abroad are much inferior in quality to ours. And then, immediately upon arrival - I don’t want to look for a store, it’s better as the national leader of the neighboring power bequeathed - half a glass and to the beach))) Well, since I have never been to Cyprus, I can only judge by reviews on the internet - drinks are not included there in nutrition, i.e. you will have to buy beer at dinner, but I need it, buy a glass for 4 Euro and stretch the whole evening)

And what is the point of huddling four of us in the standard of a dubious hotel, dragging food with you, pulling small children on airplanes, as a result, having spent at best 6 full days at sea? And if the charter there is in the afternoon, and the charter from there is early in the morning, then even five. Tell me, what is the meaning of such a journey? To say that we were in Turkey? Is it really impossible to find anything at home for 25,000 UAH? We are now in the Bodrum area. Bought vouchers in the winter for early booking. And even then $1000 for 2+2 would be hard to come by.
аватар musja7
"Because it's better for us to rest for 6 days without thinking about food and entertainment"
Ludun, in order not to think about the above, there must be a good hotel. Which is unlikely to come across on a last-minute ticket for 1000 dollars. per family during high season. Otherwise, there is a risk of not getting what you expect. There are two options in Bodrum: they are either good hotels that are designed for families, but they cannot be cheap. Or more budget options designed for a party and movement of young people and couples without children. They, as a rule, are of an urban type, with a city beach, a lack of children's animation and children's entertainment, and even more so - there will be no food of such a plan so as not to think about how to feed a 2-year-old.
аватар goga504
$ 1,000 in my opinion was not enough for a vacation in such a large homeland in a hotel of sufficient quality in Turkey. Maybe it's better to go to Bulgaria?
аватар kolyan_cat
Bodrum, children's animation is an excess for tourists.
Children's animation in most cases, children don't care. In any case, it was the same with my children and with the children of acquaintances who traveled with us, both in Turkey and in Bulgaria.
There is a sea, a swimming pool and dad + mom nearby, and it’s already gorgeous for a child. Hanging out in warm water - for a child at 2 years old, this is happiness.
Looking for a hotel for 200-300 dollars more expensive for the sake of animation - money down the drain, it's better to go on an excursion with small ones somewhere or go to a water park.
In most places, city beaches are normal, certainly better than the Black Sea ones, so the same Antalya or Kemer will go fine.
Ludun, honestly, I advise you to go without listening to anyone, and just be prepared to endure minor inconveniences that actually play a secondary role (the hotel is not on the 1st line, steaming porridge for a small person in the room).
This year the prices are normal, if you don't go, then next year what you can buy for 1000 will cost 2000. Take advantage of the moment.
аватар kolyan_cat
And yes, traveling by plane is one of the most exciting vacation experiences for a child. You can go by bus to the Black Sea, but that's not it.
аватар Ludun
Goga504, I looked at Bulgaria, but there the price with the flight is higher than to Turkey. Not an option.

musja7, is it possible to go to Bodrum with such a budget in mid-September? Or is it already not hot in Kemer in September?
аватар musja7
Ludun, no one will tell you how prices will be in September this year. Just this week, almost all normal hotels raised prices to the level of last year for June-July. Therefore, no normal travel agent will definitely undertake to calculate the demand and prices for September this year. Perhaps it will be real, and perhaps it will be real only from the second half of September.
In September it is not hot in Kemer like July or August. And the sea is very warm.

1000 USD is it really for a family? - this will be clear a week before departure.

You don’t have to go to Turkey for 7 days with kids, they won’t have time to adapt, as already and back. I don’t know how much an air ticket to Izmir costs, but apartments can be found in Guzelcamli (and on the entire coast from Canakkale to Marmaris) for 40-70 euros. You will have to cook yourself, there is no problem with food, but you will be able to relax. I am against cheap hotels, even 5-star ones.
