Hello. Tell me, please, I am a citizen of Ukraine, in December I am going to Turkey with my six-year-old daughter, I am going to get married, I bought a one-way ticket only, can this cause problems at customs? If so, what do you need to avoid problems, maybe additional documents? Thanks.

Documents are not checked accurately. Although I don’t know about the documents of the child. In May, I had the same situation - I flew to Turkey to my then future husband for marriage, I also had a one-way ticket, only I don’t have children yet. Nothing was checked. But I recommend immediately after marriage to issue a residence permit (ikamet tezkeresi), so that there are no problems with the police and at the border control, if you decide to fly to Ukraine to visit relatives. Ikamet costs about 500 dollars, renewal every subsequent year is cheaper, after 3 years you can apply for citizenship. If you have any questions - contact me, I will be happy to answer.

Thank you! By the way, my situation is somewhat similar to the situation of the author of the question - I married a man with a child, a son from his first marriage, 8 years old. Reyonk was given the choice of who he wants to stay with - with his mother, who remarried and recently gave birth, or with his father and his new wife, that is, with me. The child chose us. His mother gave him away with ease, which surprised me very much, although before that for 10 months she did not allow the child to see or communicate with his father.

Wow, that's mom! How do you get on with the boy? My Nastya is 6 years old, she loves Turan very much, calls her dad, he does it too, I hope it will be the same when living together.

We get along with the boy, he is well-mannered, although a little absent-minded. He calls me "Aunt Natalie", I try to treat this with understanding, because he has a mother. We communicate in Turkish (I am a translator of this language, but neither my husband nor my child knows Russian). Of course, the child is jealous of my father, this is understandable. Naturally, we think about the common baby. I am the only daughter in the family, it was not easy to accept someone else's child, but my Sinan is a wonderful person, we love each other very much, and for his sake I accepted his child, especially since he told me that he had a son when we met, not hid.
